Kerala Team Appraised on Digital Ticketing System by TTD



Tirupati , October  8: Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju elaborated on the strategies and systems adopted by TTD for devotee management at the holy shrine of Tirumala to the three-member team deputed by Kerala Government with high profile officials. 

Earlier, the JEO briefed them with help of Power Point presentation held at the Sri Padmavati Rest house in Tirupati on Monday on the use of IT  for  facilitating darshan, accommodation, donations etc. by TTD which had helped in providing comfortable pilgrimage to multitude of visiting pilgrims in Tirumala.

The JEO said, under the instructions of Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, TTD has adopted IT in almost all its darshan formats to enhance transparency which yielded positive results. Be it Rs.300 Special Entry Darshan or Divya Darshan (footpath), Sarva Darshan, the time slotted darshan system has enabled the management to provide hassle free darshan to 75% of our pilgrims", he asserted.

The IT adoption has also provided transparency and proper regulation of not only pilgrim crowds but also other core activities of the TTD  like sale and distribution of laddu prasadam, publications, hundi donations etc. The JEO later explained them on queue lines management, compartments, cleanliness, garbage clearance, recycling, drinking water facilitation, reuse of tertiary water after treatment  etc  at Tirumala which fascinated the team.

Kamalavardhan Rao, Principal Secretary of Public Works Department, Kerala,  K R Jyotilal, Principal Secretary  (Revenue Endowments), Addl. DGP Ananta Krishnan later complimented TTD for its pilgrim initiatives and said they will adopt the IT measures in Kerala temples including Sabarimala for a hassle free darshan mechanism.
