Governor chairs discussion on healthcare sector at Raj Bhavan

Hyderabad, February 9: Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday expressed confidence that the massive allocation made to the healthcare sector in the Union Budget-2023 will help create a sustainable healthcare sector in the country.

She said that a huge allocation of Rs 89,155 crore made for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the recent budget would tremendously transform the healthcare infrastructure and services in the country.

The Governor was chairing a session on “Health sector initiatives and allocations proposed in the Union Budge 2023-24” at the Raj Bhavan, here.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that the budgetary allocation has the potential to make the best possible healthcare accessible and affordable to the people across the country.

The Governor said that medical education, paramedical sector, health insurance coverage to the people, and telemedicine will get a major boost through this futuristic budgetary allocation for the healthcare sector.

Referring to the increased outlay for the Ayushman Bharat, she stated that it would expedite the government’s target to bring 40 crore more people under the health insurance coverage under the scheme.

The Governor said that increased allocation for the health research and opening up of the ICMR Labs for collaborative research will boost the innovation and contribute for the quality research in the sector.

Top officials from the CCMB, AIIMS, Bibinagar, NIN, ESIC Medical College, and eminent medical professionals were among those who took part in the deliberations initiated by the Governor.

Agent Releasing On April 28

Akhil Akkineni and stylish maker Surender Reddy’s highly-anticipated Pan India project Agent is getting ready for its theatrical release. The makers on the occasion of New Year released a making video to announce Agent will release in summer. The latest update is the movie will be gracing the theatres worldwide in a grand manner on April 28th. The movie is going to cash in the holiday season and what better season can they get other than summer for a Pan India release.

The makers made the release date announcement through a wild action glimpse. Akhil is tied to a chair and his head is covered with a mask. When he’s asked about the agency he’s working for, he replies saying, “Osama Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Hitler.” He then calls himself a wild saale and he indeed looks wild with blood all over his face.

The release date glimpse is too brutal and shows the wild side of Akhil’s character. He is seen with long and curly hair in the movie where he sported different looks. The actor underwent a stylish makeover and will be seen sporting six-pack abs. Surender Reddy made this movie completely different from other spy thrillers.

Sakshi Vaidya played Akhil’s love interest, and Mammotty will be seen in a vital role. Rasool Ellore and Hip Hop Tamizha are taking care of camera and music departments respectively.

The story for the movie was provided by Vakkantham Vamsi. Produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, National Award winner Naveen Nooli is the editor while Avinash Kolla is the art director.

Ajay Sunkara, Pathi Deepa Reddy are the co-producers of the film which will have a Pan India release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Governor calls for CPR training to all

Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday called for the massive training programmes to train all the people on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Speaking at a special programme on CPR at the Sanskruti Hall of the Raj Bhavan, here, she said that creating awareness and training more number of people on CPR would result in saving more number of precious lives.

The Governor said that colleges and universities too should make it mandatory to train the students in the CPR techniques.

“All the offices should conduct the CPR training sessions to create awareness among the staff members. We are witnessing the death of many people due to the sudden cardiac arrest as there are no people, who can perform CPR, around in times of emergency,” she added.

The Governor appreciated the doctors for offering the CPR training session at the Raj Bhavan for the police, staff, and the Indian Red Cross Society functionaries.

As part of the event, the Governor has also distributed the brochures related to the Chancellor Connects Alumni.


R-Day Fete in TTD P)arade Grounds

The Republic Day celebrations will be observed by TTD in its Parade Grounds located on the backside of the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on January 26.


TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy will hoist the National Flag and deliver his R-Day speech followed by the Parade by various security battalions. Later the cultural events by the students of various TTD educations institutions follows. The event concludes with the EO giving away the excellency awards to the officers' and employees who showcased their work skills.

Vijay Deverakonda Becomes Co-Owner of Hyderabad Black Hawks

Actor Vijay Deverakonda, the young superstar who has a phenomenal fan following across the country and a recipient of several awards including a Filmfare Award, Nandi Award, and SIIMA Award, has become a co-owner of the Hyderabad Black Hawks, one of India's top professional volleyball teams and the sole representative of the Telugu states. 

Mr. Deverakonda, well known for his roles in Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy, will also be the brand ambassador for the Black Hawks, with appearances and promotions aimed to take the team beyond the league matches and bring it before a global audience.

Chiranjeevi’s Mega Massive Action Entertainer “Bholaa Shankar” under the direction of stylish maker Meher Ramesh resumes its shoot today. Continuing the Mega Blockbuster Festive Vibe with high positive energy, the new schedule of the movie being mounted on a lavish scale by Ramabrahmam Sunkara commences today in a huge Kolkata set in Hyderabad.

Chiranjeevi scored a massive blockbuster with Waltair Veerayya, thus expectations will be quite high for Bholaa Shankar. Meher Ramesh is presenting Chiranjeevi in a stylish, yet mass character in the movie that stars National-award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh playing Chiranjeevi’s sister, while Dazzling Beauty Tamannaah will be seen as the leading lady in this commercial entertainer that will have emotions and other elements in right proportions.

Governor terms Vande Bharat as a great Sankranthi gift to the people of TS and AP

Hyderabad, Jan 15: Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday termed the flagging off Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam is a great Sankranthi gift to the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“The ultra-modern Vande Bharat Express truly signifies the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat and the Make in India, as envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji,” she added.

Participating in the flagging off ceremony of the newly introduced state-of-the-art train at the Secunderabad railway station, the Governor stated that the real Sankranthi festivities are happening at the Secunderabad railway station.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that the Indian railways is witnessing tremendous transformation and this Vande Bharat Express is one of such major initiatives.

“Through his Mann ki Baat, our Hon’ble Prime Minister has revived the glory of radio, which was considered by many as a fading media platform, similarly, by introducing this indigenously developed Vande Bharat Express, he revived the fortunes of the railway in our country,” she added.

The Governor stated that the Vande Bharat Express train between the Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam will help promote tourism and strengthen the cultural bond between the two Telugu-speaking States.

The Vande Bharat Express was virtually flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister.

Governor prepares Pongal

Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, along with the Raj Bhavan pariwar members, took part in the Makar Sankranthi festival celebrations at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.

The Governor prepared the traditional Pongal dish offered it to the Sun on the occasion of the auspicious harvest festival and served it to all the participants. 
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that the traditional Pongal dish, which means ‘’spilling over” or “boiling over,” signifies the abundance and prosperity and is offered to the Sun as thanks giving as part of the Harvest Festival.
She stated that all our festivals are connected with the Mother Nature that endows us with the abundance, health, and prosperity and added that it should be our bounden-duty to protect Mother Nature for sustainable life on the planet.
Expresses concern at the death of women at Malakpet Maternity Hospital: Interacting with the media persons on the occasion, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed her concern over the tragic death of two pregnant women after undergoing Caesarean section for delivery at Malakpet Maternity Hospital.
“As a doctor, Gynaecologist, I am concerned at the death of women after the C-section. We need to improve the infrastructure at the Government Hospitals as the economically poorer sections’ last hope is government hospitals,” she added.
Advisors to the Governor, Secretary to the Governor K. Surendra Mohan, and other senior officials were present.
