Yoga Controls Mind and Body - TTD Eo







Yoga is an ancient art that connects the mind and body and helps to keep them under control, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

 

Taking part in the International Yoga Day observed at SV Vedic University in Tirupati on Tuesday he said, Yoga is a great channel that encourages one to lead a healthy and positive lifestyle.

 

He said TTD has commenced Yoga Darsanam on the Nada Neerajanam platform, which has been receiving overwhelming response from across the world. "Soon we are planning to perform the Asanas at Nada Neerajanam instead of Pravachanam on some day", he said.

 

Later National Sanskrit University Professor Sri Kuppa Viswanatha Sharma said Yoga is the only existing civilisation among the 47 as prescribed in ancients scriptures. The Father of Yoga is Lord Shiva and the Father of modern age Yoga is sage Patanjali, he maintained.

 

Afterwards, Yoga Professor Sri Ramanarayana made his students to perform some Yoga Asanas.

 

Registrar Sri Viswanath, Dean Sri Phani, faculty and students were also present.

 

Aranyakanda Parayanam Deeksha from 25th June to 10th July






TTD has been organising several Parayanams from the past two years and is now all set to observe Shodasadinatmaka Aranyakanda Parayana Deeksha from June 25 to July 10, with Ankurarpanam on June 24 said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

 

Speaking to media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday evening he said, the Aranyakanda has 2454 Shlokas penned by Sage Valmiki in Ramayana epic. It is also referred to as Mokshakanda as chanting or even listening to these shlokas will provide salvation.

 

He said the Shodasadinatmaka Aranyakanda Parayana Deeksha will be observed at Tirumala for 16 days seeking the divine blessings for the well-being of humanity. On the last day on July 10, Maha Purnahuti will be performed at Dharmagiri between 11 am and 12 noon.

 

The Principal of Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham, Sri KSS Avadhani said, a total of 32 ritwiks will participate in this fete. Among them 16 will render shlokas in Vasantha Mandapam while another 16 will perform Tapa, Homa for each Shloka at Dharmagiri.

 

He said legends says that performance of such Vedic rites will bring health, wealth and salvation. Everyday the program will be telecasted live on SVBC for the sake of global devotees from 8:30am onwards, he maintained.

 

Earlier a review meeting on the arrangements for the same was held with different heads of the departments in Tirumala.

 

Chief Priests Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, Sri Krishna Seshachala Deekshitulu, Sri Govindaraja Deekshitulu, CEO SVBC Sri Suresh Kumar and others HoDs were also present.

Land Committee Lauds TTD For Its Protective Mechanismopf Donation Lands




Retired Judge Justice Sri K Sridhar Rao, the Chairman of the TTD Land Committee complimented the TTD for its efforts towards the preservation of lands donated by devotees all over country.

 

Speaking during a meeting by the Land Committee at Sri Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati on Tuesday Retired Judge Justice Sri K Sridhar Rao, the Chairman of the TTD Land Committee has lauded the efforts of the TTD Estate Wing led by Special Officer Sri Mallikarjuna under the instructions of JEO (H&E) Smt Sada Bhargavi in implementing all suggestions of the land committee in preserving 975 assets across the country.

 

He said since the first meeting of the land committee on January 21 of 2021 the TTD officials have successfully recovered properties worth 23 crores spread over 20.45 acres. The TTD has earned a lease amount of 4.15 crores from 29 properties. He said the meeting also discussed on development of properties in Janakpuri, Rishikesh and Dehradun for benefit of devotees.

 

The Chief of the Committee was in all praise for TTD which is contemplating digitalisation of its land properties for more administrative ease and transparency with the help of modern technology like Geo Mapping, Geo Fencing etc.

 

Among other recent achievements by TTD Estates Wing, the leasing of all Kalyana Mandapams has brought TTD a revenue of  6 crore. The task force has also succeeded to take back a 6-acre property in Kabisthalam at Tanjore in Tamil Nadu that has been pending for several decades.

 

Land committee members included Dr VR Gauri Shankar, Hyderabad local advisory committee Chairman Sri GV Bhaskar Rao, Chennai local advisory committee chairman Sri AJ Shekar, Mumbai local advisory committee chairman Sri Amol Kale, Bangalore local advisory committee chairman Dr Sampat Ravi Narayana, New Delhi local advisory committee chairperson Smt V Prashanti Reddy, Bhubaneswar local advisory committee chairman Sri Dushyant Kumar Das who participated virtually while social activist Sri Bayya Srinivasulu, Dr K Ramachandra Murthy and Sri Govind Hari were also present in the meeting.

Srinivasa Kalyanam Held at Seattle






As a part of the ongoing Srinivasa Kalyanams in the United States of America, the divine wedding ceremony was held at Seattle on during the wee hours of Tuesday as per Indian Standard Time.

 

Scores of NRI devotees participated oj n the grand event. The entire premises reverberated to the rhythmic rendition of vedic mantras.

 

Series of rituals usually performed in a traditional Hindu marriage ceremony including Punyahavachanam, Viswaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Pratisra Bandhana, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalyadharana, Varana Mayiram, Harati were rendered in a splendid manner.

 

TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, People tech CMD Seattle and India and sponser of the mega religious event Sri TG Viswa Prasad and others were also present.

 

Grand International Yoga Day at Ayurveda College



The International Yoga Day was grandly celebrated at the SV Ayurveda College of TTD on Tuesday with rangoli art by students on the theme of Yoga for Humanity.

 

The students displayed various Yoga asanas followed by a workshop on Yoga for the health of humanity.

 

College principal Dr Murali Krishna, Dr Yamini Diwakar, State Ayush medical officer, Dr Jyoti, Associate Professor of National Sanskrit University, Yoga department chief at university Dr Lakshmi Narayana also spoke.

 

Vice-principal of Ayurveda College Dr Sundaram, Dr Renu Dikshit, Dr Chandra Kishore, Dr Sunil and faculty members and students were present.

 

Sundararaja On Hanumantha





Sri Sundararaja Swamy on the second day evening on Tuesday blessed His devotees on Hanumantha Vahanam.

 

As a part of the ongoing annual Avatarotsavams of Sri Sundararaja Swamy temple in Tiruchanoor, Abhishekam was performed in the morning.
