Artificial Limbs-Making Machinery Donated to BIRRD Hospital







A donor from Salem, Sri Balasubramaniam has donated to BIRRD hospital modern technology based equipment to manufacture artificial limbs for the benefit of patients from across the country.


The equipment worth over 1 crore were handed over to  Dr Rachapalli Reddappa, the OSD of BIRRD hospital on Wednesday after special pujas.


Grand Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Vari Temple from 5th to 13th April





TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam said TTD will organise the annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kodandaramaswami temple on a grand scale from April5-13 with Ankurarpanam fete on April 4.


Speaking to media after a review meeting on Wednesday evening with officials the JEO said the festivities will begin with Dwajarohanam on April 5th and spectacular Vahana Sevas both morning and evening.


He said the highlight of Brahmotsavam festivities were the majestic Garuda Vahana Seva on the April 9th evening and would attract large crowds in view of the Ugadi festival. Among others, Hanumanta Vahana on April 10 and Chakra snanam on April 13 will be held heralding the conclusion of the Brahmotsavam celebrations.


JEO said Vahana Sevas will be organised on days morning between 07.00-10.00 am and evening between 7.00-9.00 pm. All departments would coordinate all out preparations for Anna Prasadam, cultural programs, security, drinking water, buttermilk, and both floral and electric decorations. He instructed officials for cooler paintings, scrutinise the strength of vahanas, bhajans and kolatas before vahanas.


He also advised for positioning the ambulances, primary health centres.SVBC for live telecast, commentators of Vahana Sevas, distribute Ramakoti books, deploy adequate number of srivari Sevakulu, coordinate with local police for traffic regulation 


He said TTD will organise Sri Rama Navami utsavam from April 17-19 and also the annual Teppotsavam fete from April 21-23.


Dyeos Sri Govindarajan, Smt Shanti, Smt Nagaratna, SE Sri Venkateswarlu, Dharmic projects programming officer Sri Rajagopal,EE Sri Venugopal, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, and additional health officer Dr Sunil were present.


Empower Future Generations with Ancient Knowledge Embedded in Palm Leaf Edits - CJI Dr Chandrachud















    Chief Justice of India Dr YV Chandrachud  said it was the responsibility of all to pass on ancient knowledge embedded in palm leaf manuscripts by Maharshis and saints for thousands of years to future generations 


    The CJI of the Supreme Court on Wednesday morning visited the Palm leaf edicts digitisation project jointly organised by the TTD and Sri Venkateswara Vedic University. Earlier he went through the manuscripts library of the  university comprising of ancient documents of Vedas, Agama Puranas, Nyaya  and  Darshan and the digitisation project and publications etc,


    Speaking on the occasion he said he was happy to witness the unique project of preserving valuable ancient manuscripts including those on Nyaya Shastra throwing light on legal systems, legal education and the theme objective of the Nyaya Shashtras.


    The CJI called for a national mission for the preservation and digitisation of ancient palm leaf edicts for promoting research and publication which will impact humanity. He lauded TTD for setting up SVV university and the digitisation project of ancient edicts and was thrilled by listening to Veda mantra pathanam.


     CJI OFFERS PRAYERS AND SRIVARI DARSHAN


    Earlier the CJI of the Supreme Court also offered prayers at the Srivari temple, Tirumala in the morning along with AP High Court chief justice  Sri Dhiraj Singh Thakur and was given a ceremonial reception by Temple Archakas.


    Thereafter the CJI was offered Veda Ashirvachanam by Veda pundits at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. He was also offered Srivari portrait, Thirtha Prasadam, TTD diary, calendars, Agarbattis and Pancha Gavya products.

    Sri Krodhinama Panchangam Available to Devotees




    TTD has made the Sri Krodhinama Panchangam available to the devotees in its book stalls at Tirumala and Tirupati from Tuesday onwards.


    Like every year, TTD has published the  Panchagam for the upcoming Telugu New Year which is base to observe several religious festivities related to Tirumala and other temples of TTD as well other important Hindu festivals in the Telugu year.


    The TTD Panchangam priced at Rs.75 will be made available in the remaining areas also soon.

    TTD JEo Along With Kadapa District Collector Reviews on Arrangements

















    In connection with the annual Brahmotsavams in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam at Vontimitta in from April 17-26, a high-level review meeting besides inspection were held in the temple premises by the top brass officials of TTD and YSR Kadapa district.


    The authorities should make extensive arrangements for the convenience of the devotees who come for the mega religious state event of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 22 said the Kadapa District Collector Sri Vijayaramaraju along with TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam who reviewed the ongoing arrangements.


    YSR District Collector along with TTD JEO and District SP Sri Siddharth Kaushal conducted a review at Vontimitta on Monday.


    During the review meeting, the TTD JEO directed that the officials of all the concerned departments of TTD should coordinate with the district authorities and complete the arrangements for Brahmotsavams expeditiously.


    He said Ankurarpanam is on April 16 and Brahmotsavams will begin with Dwajarohanam on April 17 on the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami. 


    He said Hanumanta Vahanam is on April 20, Garudavahanam on April 21 and the state festival of the celestial Sri Sitaram Kalyanam is on April 22 and will be organized in a magnificent way. 


    The other important days include Rathotsavam on April 23, Chakrasnanam on April 25 while Pushpayagam is on April 26.


    YSR Kadapa District Collector Sri Vijayaramaraju said that the district administration along with TTD are making extensive arrangements to ensure that the devotees who have come for the event will not face any inconvenience. 


    As part of this, security, parking, distribution of food offerings, temporary toilets, uninterrupted power supply, first aid centers, RTC buses, sign boards, sanitation, public address system and other departments were reviewed and necessary suggestions were made.


    District SP Sri Siddharth Kaushal said that TTD vigilance staff and the district police will make strict security arrangements. 


    Instructions were given to the officials on setting up CC cameras, control room and other aspects in all necessary areas.
