TTD Chairman and the Eo Inaugurate Green Gardens in Vaikunta Queue Complex








One more green gardens and with breath refreshing ambience has been created for devotees to divine experience in the hill town of Tirumala.


TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy along with the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Friday inaugurated a mix of 1.5-acre green carpet, avenue plantation, seasonal flowers, 1500 hanging pots in the Vaikuntham Queue Complex area.


Among others, the garden space included a 15 feet Krishna idol,  20 feet marble Govinda Namam, Shanku and Chakra icons, 40 feet Sri Venkateswara Padalu and white roses, three pairs of Gomata and calf, one-hour flute music which looped 24x 7, music stereo system all carefully put together and strongly protected with firm iron fencing.


Speaking on the occasion the TTD Chairman said the entire component of music, idols, green carpets, Hanging pots are expected to provide a unique visual treat to devotees waiting for hours and soothe their nerves.


The project was conceptualised, designed and executed in just 60 days. The project was implemented By Laurence Labs and Sneha Nursery for TTD.


Sri V V Ravi Kumar CFO of  Laurence Labs and Sri L Narender Rao MD of Sneha Nursery who participated in the event said they were happy to contribute to TTD for devotees sake.

Sacred Darbha Mat and Rope Procession Held






In view of the Salakatla Brahmotsavams which is going to commence from September 27 in Tirumala temple, the procession of sacred darbha mat and rope which will be used in the temple fete during the holy ‘Dwajarohanam’ was held on Friday.

 

“Darbha”, scientifically known as Desmostachya bipinnata, is a tropical grass, which is considered most pious in Vedic scriptures and plays an important role in all the ritual related religious activities of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

 

The mat and rope made of this holy grass are tied to the temple pillar and pujas are performed as per the tenets of Vaikhanasa Agama amidst the chanting of Vedic Mantras unfurling the Garuda flag atop the Dhwajasthambham heralding the beginning of annual brahmotsavams.

 

The legends say that there are two types of Darbhas  – Shiva Darbha and Vishnu Darbha. In Srivari temple Vishnu Darbha is collected from Chelluru near the Yerpdu mandal, region of the Tirupati district. After drying it in sun rays for a week, a 22-feet length and 7-feet width mat along with a 200-feet rope set ready for the holy Dhwajarohanam event by the forest staff.

 

Meanwhile, the Darbha mat and rope were placed atop the Sesha Vahanam located in Ranganayakula Mandapam.

 

Deputy Conservator of Forest of TTD Sri Srinivasulu, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, FRO Venkata Subbaiah, DyRO Sri Srinivasulu and others were also present in the procession.

TTD Eo Inspects Srinivasa Sethu Flyover Works






TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Thursday inspected the ongoing Srinivasa Sethu flyover works connecting Kakakambadi road to Leela Mahal circle via  Vasavi Bhavan on Kapilathirtham road in Tirupati.

 

Accompanied by district collector Sri Venkataramana Reddy and SP Sri Parameswar Reddy he went round to inspect the ongoing constructions.

 

The Flyover is getting ready to be inaugurated by Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy on September 27.

 

He directed the officials concerned that the works should be completed by September 26.

 

TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Joint collector Sri Balaji, Municipal commissioner Kumari Anupama Anjali, TTD CE Sri Nageswara Rao Municipal corporation SE Sri Mohan, and APCON manager Sri Rangaswami and others were also present.

 

rotect and Sustain Traditional Temple Art for Future - TTD EO

 Lauding the talents of the students of temple architecture, painting and sculpting in the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Institute of Traditional Sculpture and Architecture in Tirupati on Thursday, the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy called on the students to enhance their skills to protect and sustain the traditional art for the future generations.

 

He was addressing the three-day workshop in SVITSA where in exponents, sthapathis in the field of Architecture from across the states of South India have graced the session to share their knowledge and impart the skills involved in various formats of temple sculpting.

 

The EO appreciated TTD JEO (H & E) Smt Sada Bhargavi for organizing a workshop, which is beneficial for the students to enhance their skills. He also directed to organize similar workshops frequently inviting the experts in the field. "In BIRRD hospital we are now inviting the stalwarts in the field of surgery who are attending to the patients and giving them best medication in their respective fields. Similarly, we should invite the renowned and experienced Sthapathis, artisans, skilled craftsmen in traditional art and make our students best in the field of temple architecture, painting and sculpting", he reiterated.

 

Later he felicitated Sri Sesha Brahmam, Dr P Nageswara Rao, Sri Sundara Rajan and Sri Brahmacharya who delivered lectures on Techniques involved in Traditional Painting, Description of Pratima Lakshanma in various Silpa Shastras, trends in AP and TS temples and Saiva, Vaikhanasa and Shakti Agamas sculptures respectively on the second day of the ongoing three day workshop.

 

EO VISITS THE STALLS:

 

Earlier the TTD EO visited the stalls, where the stone, metal, wooden idols, various paintings of divine portraits crafted and designed by the faculty and students are being displayed. He appreciated the dot work art of Sri G Sagar, one of the faculties in the institute and also student Ms Vennela who mastered herself in the traditional Kalamkari Art.

 

CE Sri Nageswara Rao, DEO Sri Govindarajan, Principal Sri Venkat Reddy, registered participants, faculty, students were also present.

 












TTD Eo Inspects Parakamani Building










TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy along with CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore inspected the Parakamani Building located opposite Annaprasadam complex in Tirumala on Wednesday evening which is set ready to be inaugurated by the Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy on September 28.

 

Later the EO also inspected the renovation works that are being carried out in Sri Padmavathi Rest House main building at a cost of Rs.4cr. The new look dining hall will accommodate nearly 150 members.
