Maha Kumbhabhishekam Held for Chennai Padmavathi Ammavari Temple























The presiding deity of Tiruchanoor Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru has now appeared in the form of Sri Padmavathi Tayar in Chennai blessing the denizens, said HH Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswati Maha Swamy of Visakha Sarada Peetham.


The Pontiff graced for the Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Padmavathi Tayar temple in GN Chetti Road at Chennai on Friday.


During his Anugraha Bhashanam on the auspicious occasion the Pontiff said though the world renowned Hindu religious shrines of Sri Padmavathi Venkateswara are stationed at Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, the deities are much worshipped by the denizens of Tamilnadu. With the benign blessings of the deities may prosperity blossom in the lives of people of Tamilnadu, he wished.


TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy in his address said after Tiruchanoor temple, an exclusive temple for Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi has now become a reality only in Chennai in the entire country. He lauded the largesse of veteran actress Ms. Kanchana and her family who donated land towards the construction of Sri Padmavathi Tayar temple and the contribution of Chennai Local Advisory Committee Chief Sri Sekhar Reddy.


Later Sri Sekhar Reddy also said he was fortunate enough to be a part in this divine contribution.


Devotees thronged in huge numbers to have darshan of Goddess Padmavathi Devi which was provided after Maha Kumbhabhishekam.


TTD Board member Dr Shankar, Delhi LAC Chief Smt Prasanthi, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, Agama Advisor Sri Srinivasacharyulu, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and other officials of TTD were present.

Tallapaka Annamacharya Vardhanti Posters Released



The 520th Death Anniversary of Telugu Padakavita Piatamaha Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya will be observed in Tirupati, Tirumala, Tallapaka from March 18 to March 21.

 

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Wednesday released the related posters at his chambers in TTD Administrative Building

         

JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, FACAO Sri Balaji, Dharmic Projects Program Officer Sri Rajagopal Rao, Annamacharya Project Director Dr Vibhishana Sharma were present.

 

On March 18 in Tirumala, Saptagiri Sankeertana Gosthi Ganam has been organised at Narayanagiri Gardens.

 

While at Mahati and Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati also special programs have been arranged matching the occasion on the above said days.

 

In Tallapaka, the birthplace of the saint poet, Annamacharya Sankeertans and Harikatha are being arranged at Dhyana Mandiram and 108-feet statue of Annamacharya.

 

Annual Vasanthotsavams in Tirumala



The annual festival of Spring-Salakatla Vasanthotsavams will be observed in Tirumala between April 3-5.

 

This three day festival will be observed in such a way that it concludes on the auspicious Chaitra Suddha Pournami.

 

Every day during these three days, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be observed between 2pm and 4pm. at Vasanta Mandapam in a grand manner.

 

On the second day morning between 8am and 10am there will be a procession of the golden chariot.

 

In connection with this festival, TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas on these three days while on April 4, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva also remains cancelled.

 

Ksheerahivasam Held in Chennai Temple








As part of ongoing consecration rituals in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple coming up at GN Chetti Road in Chennai, Ksheeradhivasam ritual was held on Wednesday.

 

Ksheeradhivasam is an Agamic ritual where in special abhishekam with milk was rendered in the evening after performing Chatustanarchana, Murti Homam, Prayaschittam, Purnahuti, Karmanga Snapanam, Vimana Nayanonmeelanam under the supervision of Pancharatra Agama Advisor Sri Srinivasacharyulu.

 

Chennai Local Advisory Committee President Sri Sekhar Reddy, DyEO Sri Vijay Kumar and others were present.

TTD JEo Reviews Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple Fete






TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam on Tuesday reviewed with all the department heads on the arrangements to be made for annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodanda Ramalayam at Tirupati.


Calling for a team effort towards the successful conduct of the annual fete that takes place between March 20-28, the JEO during the review meeting held at the temple premises directed the officials concerned to gear up for the big festival by making elaborate arrangements as only five days are left.


The electrical, floral, Annaprasadam, water, buttermilk distribution, Security arrangements should be made without any compromise, he instructed the officials.


The important days includes Dhwajarohanam on March 20, Ugadi Asthanam on March 22, Garuda Seva on March 24, Hanumantha Vahanam on March 25, Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam on March 31 followed by Teppotsavams from April 3-5.


SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarulu, temple DyEO Smt Nagaratna, Gosala Director Dr Harnath Reddy, DyEOs Smt Shanti, Sri Govindarajan, Sri Lokanatham, Chief Priest Sri Anadakumara Deekshitulu and others were also present.

Jaladhivasam Held in Chennai Temple

Accommodation Registration Counters Shifted to CRO on A Trail Basis







The Face Recognition Technology (FRT) implemented by TTD has enhanced transparency in room allotment system and curbed the menace of Dalaris said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


Speaking to the media at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO said the devotees are now getting accommodation within 5-10 minutes without any inconvenience. The rotation of rooms which used to be rampant earlier due to the middlemen has now curtailed with the introduction of FRT. Even the refund is also given to the devotee who was allotted the room with their Adhaar card. Once again a devotee will get a room only after a span of a month. With this new system which was introduced on March 1 onwards, till March 12, the revenue garnered by TTD in accommodation was Rs. 2.95 crores. Same system is being implemented in Advance booking and Current booking systems also, EO maintained.


On an experimental basis, the registration of names in counters located at various places in Tirumala will be shifted to CRO. The EO also said the FRT enabled in Vaikuntham 2 for distribution free laddus to devotees has also yielded good results putting an end to dalari menace. At present laddu token will be issued only in person to a devotee, he added.

    

Earlier, a PowerPoint presentation was shown to the media and the accommodation allotment system with FRT was explained.

Pattu Vastrams Presented to Tiruninravru

TD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Tuesday presented pattu vastrams to Sri Bhaktavatsala Perumal of Tiruninravur in Tiruvallur district of Tamilnadu on behalf of TTD.


This age-old temple is considered as one among the 108 Sri Vaishnava Divya Desams akin to Tirumala, Sri Rangam and others. Tirumala Sri Pedda Jeeyangar is the religious head and permanent Trustee of this ancient temple who was also present.


TTD has been presenting vastrams for the last one and a half decades.

46th Jeer of Ahobila Mutt Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple







H.H. Sri Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Mahadesikan, 46th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Mutt offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on monday morning.

 

He was received at the Sacred Fig tree located near Old Annaprasadam Complex as per temple traditional honours (Pedda Maryada). Later Temple DyEO Sri Ramesh welcomed the seer, while the archakas took the Pontiff to Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple with Isthikapal honours.


Temple Peishkar Sri Srihari, AEO Sri Ravi, Parpatheyadar Sri Thulasi Prasad and others were present.

Work Hard to Achieve more Success - TTD JEo(H&E)









The motto of the Students' Success Meet-Achievers Award is to encourage the students to strive hard to achieve more success in their future endeavours, said TTD JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi.


In her address at the Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Monday evening, the JEO said that the pupils pursuing education in TTD educational institutions have the divine blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.


For the first time in the history of TTD, the students who excelled in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are being Awarded which will remain as an inspiration to others. The JEO aspired all the students of TTD Educational Institutions to work hard with more dedication.


Renowned scholar and Professor in National Sanskrit University Sri Kuppa Vishwanatha Sharma explained the students the greatness of Teacher - Student relationship and described it as ethereal. He wished all the students a great success in their lives.


Chief Audit Officer Sri Sesha Sailendra, SVETA Director Smt Prasanthi, DyEO Sri Govindarajan also spoke on the occasion.


Earlier, at the beginning of the event DEO Dr Bhaskar Reddy explained about the motto of the programme.


The Achievers Awards were given to nearly 230 students belonging to various TTD educational institutions including schools, colleges and special institutions with a 10gm silver dollar and certificate of appreciation.


The cultural programmes by students of SV Deaf and Dumb school, SV College of Music and Dance allured the audience.


Principals, HMs, faculties, pupils and their parents were also present.
