Venuganalamkaram on Day 2













As part of the ongoing Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Brahmotsavam at Vontimitta, on the second day on Thursday morning, Sri Rama offered darshan to His devotees along the four Mada streets of the temple, decked in Venugana Alankaram.


From 7.30 in the morning, the procession of Swamy took place in grandeur.  While groups of artists glorified the procession with colourful chekkabhajans and kolatams, the Lord paraded along the streets with majesty blessing devotees.  

 

Later, Snapana Tirumanjanam ceremony will be held in the temple.  In this, milk, curd, honey, turmeric, coconut water and sandalwood paste will be offered to the Utsava Murthies while performing Abhishekam.


Temple Deputy EO Sri. Natesh Babu, Superintendent Sri Hanumanthaiah, Temple Inspector Sri Naveen and others participated in the procession



Deities Ride on Hamsa










The utsava idols of Sri Sita Rama and Lakshmana rode on Hamsa Vahana on the night of the second day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam in Vontimitta to the accompaniment of bhajans, kolatams, enthralling the devotees along Mada streets on Thursday.

 

Hamsa Vahana signalled Lord's capacity to distinguish between milk and water (good and evil) in the universe. 


With this carrier, the Lord sends a message that He is Paramahamsa Tatva and ultimate destination to attain salvation.

Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Kalyanam Held


















On the evening of Thursday, the celestial wedding ceremony of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam was held with utmost religious fervour in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati.


The utsava deities of Sri Sita Rama along with Lakshmana Swamy were seated on a special platform decked in full splendour.


Later amidst chanting of Vedic hymns, the temple priests performed the divine marriage of Sri Sita Devi and Sri Rama while the devotees were seen immersed in devotional waves.


Temple DyEO Smt Nagaratna, Superintendent Sri Soma Sekhar and others were present.

Asthanam Held




Sri Rama Pattabhisheka Asthanam was held in Tirumala temple on Thursday evening.


The Vedic Pundits read out the coronation ceremony of Sri Rama on the occasion.


This event took place at Bangaru Vakili inside the temple between 8pm and 9pm in front of Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana and Anjaneya Utsava Murthies. Later the Utsava Murthies of the other legendary Monkey kings, Sugreeva and Angada were also offered floral garlands along with Lord Hanuman.

A Grand Procession of Pearl Talambras








A grand procession of Pearl Talambrams was held on Thursday in connection with Sri Sitaram Kalyanam at Tirupati Sri Kodandaramalayam.


First, the officials performed a special pooja to the pearls in the treasury section of the TTD administration building.


Later, the pearls were brought in a procession on paraphernalia led by elephants and handed over the Mutyala Talambralu to Sri Anandakumara Dikshitulu the chief priest of Sri Kodandaramalayam. 


The procession reached the temple through Theerthakatta Street, Gandhi Road, Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple Dakshina Mada Street, Bazaar Street.


These pearl talambrams are used in the kalyanam of Sri Sitaram on Thursday evening.


Temple Deputy EO Smt Nagaratna, AEO Sri. Parthasarathy, Superintendent Sri Somasekhar, Temple Inspectors Sri. Chalapathy, Sri. Suresh and others participated in this program.


These pearls will be used in the Kalyanam to be held on Thursday evening.

Chandragiri Ramalayam Brahmotsavam Commences








The annual Brahmotsavam in Chandragiri Ramalayam temple commenced on a grand religious note with Dhwajarohanam on Wednesday.

Superintendent Sri Srinivasulu, temple inspector Sri Haribabu and others were present.

Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams Off To A Colourful Start in Vontimitta











The annual Brahmotsavam in Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Ramalayam off to a grand start with Dhwajarohanam on Wednesday.


The entire temple premises reverberated to the rhythmic Vedic mantras from Pancharatra Agama.


As the Pundits were chanting the hymns, the Garuda flag was hoisted on the temple pillar in the auspicious Mithuna Lagnam.


Each deity including Asta Dikpalakas, Vishwaksena, Panchabhutas etc. were appeased and invited to participate in the mega-religious event by rendering a specific raga and a Tala.

Speaking on the occasion, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam said the annual utsavams commenced in a colourful way and the celestial Sita Rama Kalyanam on April 22 between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Elaborate arrangements of Annaprasadam, buttermilk and water distribution, security arrangements have been made for the sake of devotees in coordination with the District Administration


EE Sri Krishna Reddy, DyEOs Sri Natesh Babu, Sri Siva Prasad, DFO Sri Srinivas, Garden Superintendent Sri Srinivasulu, VGO Sri Bali Reddy and other officials, devotees, archakas were also present.
