Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple Maha Samprokshanam Rituals Commences







In connection with the completion of Vimana Gopuram Gold Malam works, the Maha Samprokshanam rituals commenced in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on Sunday on a grand religious note in Tirupati.


In the morning, Viswaksena Aradhana, Panchagavya Aradhana, Vastu Homam, Raksha Bandhanam, Kala Sthapana were performed. In the night Kalakarshana will be observed. These rituals will conclude on May 25.


Both the Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, Pradhana Archaka Sri Srinivasa Deekshitulu, DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Ravi Kumar and others were present.


Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam



In connection with the annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Narayanavanam, the traditional temple cleansing fete, koil alwar tirumanjanam will be observed on May 24.


The annual brahmotsavams are scheduled between May 31 to June 8. The entire temple and sub-temples in the temple complex will be cleaned with an aromatic mixture called Parimalam.


TTD JEo Inspects Arrangements for Maha Samprokshanam







TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam on Sunday inspected the ongoing arrangements for Maha Samprokshanam of Srivari temple scheduled on May 22 at Rampachodavaram in Alluri Sitarama Raju district along with the officials concerned.

He directed to keep ready with sufficient buttermilk and water in view of the scorching temperature besides Annaprasadam and shelter facilities for the sake of devotees participating in the event on Monday.

He has also instructed the concerned to make electrical illumination and floral decorations in a befitting manner.

Religious Activities Schedule on May 22

9am and 9:30am: Maha Samprokshanam in the auspicious Mithuna Lagnam

10am onwards: Darshan to devotees

11am: Dhwajarohanam

5pm onwards: Srivari Kalyanotsavam and Dhwajavarohanam

In the inspection, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, PRO Dr T Ravi, DyEO Sri Venkataiah, VGO Sri Manohar and others were present.

Vigraha Stapana Held

The religious ritual of Vigraha Sthapana was held in Srivari temple at Rampachodavaram in Alluri Sitarama Raju district on Sunday.

Vaidika programs like Ratnanyasam, Dhatunyasam, etc.were observed followed by Mahashanti, Purnahuti, Chaturdasa Kala Snapanam,, Nava Kalasa Snapanam etc.in the evening.

TTD Eo Inaugurates Vedic Heritage Corridor at SVVU










TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy on Saturday inaugurated a unique Vedic Heritage Corridor in the premises of the TTD-run SV Vedic University campus.


Speaking on the occasion the EO said thousands of years ago, the ancient and sacred Vedas had impounded the embedded knowledge related to 190 subjects including Aerospace, Mathematics, Health, Yoga and others.


He lauded the efforts of SVVU authorities and through the Vedic Heritage Corridor asked them to impart the ancient knowledge to younger and future generations.


He also released two volumes titled "Some Facets of Indian Knowledge Systems" and  "Essays of Indian Knowledge Systems" penned by Vice-chancellor Acharya Rani Sadashiv Murty. TTD EO also urged the VC to publish other aspects of ancient knowledge at the earliest.


Acharya Rani Sadashiv Murti said Vedas and Homas were not just cultural and religious elements but contained useful knowledge for the well-being of the society. The Vedic Heritage Corridor was aimed at focusing on the link between present-day society and ancient knowledge.The corridor comprised of photo exhibition open to all to enlighten themselves. 


Thereafter the EO reviewed the monthly progress of the TTD manuscripts project and suggested MoU for digitising the manuscripts available with individuals and institutions around Tirupati.


He expressed happiness over the pace of digitisation, oiling, scanning, cataloging and storing in lockers, of the available manuscripts undertaken jointly by the TTD and the Sanatana Jeevan Trust and urged for giving access to all.


JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sanatana Jeevana Trust President  Sri Sridhar, Dyeo of Manuscripts Project Smt Vijayalakshmi, SV Vedic University Registrar Acharya Radhe Shyam were also present.

Special Entry Darshan Tickets on 24th May



The online quota of Rs.300, Special Entry Darshan tickets for the months of July and August will be released on May 24 at 10am by TTD.


The devotees are requested to make note of this and book tickets on the TTD website, https://tirupatibalaji.ap.gov.in


Admission Open in SVCMD



TTD has invited applications from interested eligible candidates for various courses in TTD-run fine arts institutions of SV College of Music and Dance and SV Nadaswaram School for the academic year 2023-24 from  May 26 onwards.


The TTD institutions offered full-time courses of Visharada(diploma), Praveena(advanced diploma)in vocal, flute veena, violin, Nadaswaram, Dolu, Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, Harikatha, Mrudangam and Ghatam.


The SV Nadaswaram and Dolu school also offers full-time certificate and diploma courses.


The academic classes slated to start from June 21 and hostel facilities available for non local students only.


Interested students could procure applications from the offices of the respective institutions during the working hours with payment of 50 for application.


The eligible qualification for regular courses is Eighth standard pass and for evening classes the qualification is only 5th standard pass.

Changes In VIP Darshan ane Arjita Seva For the CommonDevotees Benefit



In the backdrop of a heavy summer vacation rush in Tirumala after almost three years post relaxation of Covid restrictions, TTD has made certain changes till June 30, said TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy in a statement released on Saturday evening.


It is taking nearly 30-40 hours for Darshan to tokenless devotees due to heavy summer rush.


TTD has introduced some changes till June 30 in VIP Break Darshan and Arjita Sevas.


TTD has withdrawn the discretionary quota in Suprabata Seva on Friday, Saturday and Sunday saving 20 minutes for common devotees


Similarly, TTD has decided to perform Tiruppavada Seva on Thursdays in Ekantam thereby saving 30 minutes.


It's also been decided not to accept VIP recommendation letters on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays but allow break Darshan for only self VIPs which will save 3 hours of Darshan time on each of these days.


These decisions will be implemented keeping in view the common devotees providing them with comfortable and quick Srivari Darshan avoiding long waiting lines and time.


TTD has appealed to all devotees and VIPs to cooperate and give opportunity for all devotees to have comfortable Srivari Darshan.


Grand Ankurarpanam Fete at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple











Ankurarpanam was performed on Saturday evening as part of the ongoing Maha Samprokshana program held at Sri Govindarajaswami temple in Tirupati. Acharya Ritwik Varanam was observed in the day between 7.30am and 9am.


Earlier the procession of Sri Viswaksena was held on the Mada streets followed by Mrutsangrahanam and Ankurarpanam performed as per Vaikhanasa Agama traditions.


Preparations are underway to conduct rituals of Jeernodharana and Maha Samprokshana at Sri Govindarajaswami temple marking the completion of gold plating works of temple Vimana Gopuram.


Both the Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala, FACAO Sri Balaji, DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Ravi Kumar, Chief priest Sri Srinivasa Dikshitulu and other staff were present.

Ksheeradhivasma Fete at Rampachodavaram









As part of Maha Samprokshana fete at the newly built Sri Venkateswara temple at Rampachodavaram in Alluri Sitaramaraju district, TTD observed Ksheeradhivasam on Saturday.


The fete comprised of abhisekam to the idols of Sri Venkateswara, Sri Padmavati, Sri Godadevi, Sri Garudalwar, Dwarapalakas with cow milk besides temple gopuram and Dwaja sthambhams.


The rituals which commenced at yagashala in the morning will be continued in the evening as well.


VIGRAHA PRATISTA ON MAY 21


On May 21, as part of Maha Samprokshana fete the main idols of Sri Venkateswara, Sri Padmavati,Sri Goda Devi and Sri Garudalwar  besides  Dwarapalakas will be consecrated amidst Vedic mantras and Mangalam vaidyams.


One of the Chief Priests of Srivari temple Sri Venugopal Deekshitulu, DyEOs Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Shivprasad, DyEE Sri Ananda Ram were also present.

Seminar on Annamaiah Literature - TTD Eo To Scholars




TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy directed the scholars to conduct a seminar exclusively on the literature of  Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annmacharya to propagate the devotional, folk and all genres of Sankeertans penned by him in the name of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.


The EO held a meeting with all Dharmic Projects of TTD in his chamber in the Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday. He said out of Astadasa Puranas, so far the Purana Itihasa Project of TTD has published five and another four are under DTP stage. "These works need to be speeded up. there are tens of thousands of sankeertans penned by Kannada Haridasas and they also need to be published in the form of a book. ", he added.


He also directed the concerned to observe Satyanarayana Vratam and Hanuman Chalisa in all the important temples every month and also reviewed on Alwar Divya Prabandha, Nalayira Divya Prabandha, SV Recording, HDPP, SVIHVS projects of TTD also.

Donation to BIRRD Trust



Orissa-based Sivam Condev Private Limited has donated Rs.10lakhs to TTD-run BIRRD Trust on Friday.


The company representative of Tirupati, Sri Raghavendra handed over the DD for the same to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy in the Administrative Building in Tirupati.


Special Officer of BIRRD Dr Reddeppa Reddy was also present.

Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple Annual Festival



The annual brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati are scheduled between May 26 and June 3 with Ankurarpanam on May 25.


The important days includes Dhwajarohanam on May 26, Garuda Vahanam on May 30, Rathotsavam on June 2 and Chakra Snanam on June 3.


TTD has arranged devotional cultural programmes during this period.


Panchagavyadhivasam Held







As part of the Maha Samprokshana rituals for Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Rampachodavaram of Sri Alluri Sitaramaraju district, Panchagavyadhivasam was observed by the Ritwiks on Friday. 


This ritual is usually performed as the sculptors will carve the deities from the stone giving it a shape. After the deity is being prepared, to provide a relief to the deity, "Bimbasuddhi" is carried out and as part of it Panchagavyadhivasam will be performed with the products of desi cow which includes ghee, milk, curd, dung and urine amidst chanting of relevant Mantras by the religious staff. Later Panchagavya Prasana, Vastu Homam, Akalmasha Prayaschitta Homa, and Rakshabandhanam were performed.


In the evening Agni Pratistha, Kumbha Sthapana, Kumbharadhana and Visesha Homams will be observed.


Tirumala temple one of the chief priests Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, DyEOs Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Sri Venkataiah, Sri Siva Prasad, EE Sri Sudhakar, DyEE Sri Anandram and other officials were present.


Bhoomi Pooja to Srivari Temple in Karimnagar

The Bhoomi Puja for the construction of the Srivari temple at Karimnagar in Telangana State is scheduled on May 31. 


In connection with this, TS Minister Sri Kamalakar, Telangana State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Sri Vinod Kumar, Hyderabad LAC Chief Sri Bhaskar Rao have formally met TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy at his chamber in TTD Administrative Building on Friday. 


The TS Government has allocated 20 acres of land to TTD towards the construction of the temple in Karimnagar City. The EO said, before the Bhoomi Puja, Bhukarshana (ploughing the sacred land where the temple is going to come up) ritual will be performed by the Archakas on May 22. Later the construction work commences. He also said, on May 31 after the Bhoomi Puja, Srivari Kalyanam will be organised in a big manner on the same day evening for the sake of the local devotees.


The high-level team from TS said they will make elaborate arrangements for the TTD religious and non-religious staff members who will be participating and executing the religious event.
