The games and sports meet for TTD employees entered third day on Saturday.

The employees participated in the Indoor Games with enthusiasm in the event held in the Recreation Hall of TTD Administrative Building.

As part of Carroms and Chess were held for women employees aged above 45years category.

As a part of an ongoing annual sports meet for the employees of TTD, volleyball was held on Friday.

Sri Venkateswarulu Naidu team stood as winners against Janardhan team in the common category.

Sports for Enhanced Physical and Mental Strength

“Sports will not only strengthen the physical and mental fitness of the body but also improves the “Spirit of Service” which is very much essential for the TTD employees TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

After inaugurating the TTD Employees' Annual Sports Meet 2023 at the Parade Grounds behind TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Thursday by unveiling the National and Sports flag, the EO in his address to employees said that “TTD is one of the most important organisations in the entire world that functions 24X7 throughout the year. If you participate in the sports meet, it will refresh your physical and mental abilities, with which you can execute your duties with more enthusiasm and offer better services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims”, he asserted.

Earlier, the EO also flew off the sparrows and took the Honor Salute from the participants of Parade March.

JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, VSO Sri Manohar and others were also present.

R-Day Observed with Patriotic Fervour

The Republic Day was observed with utmost patriotic fervour by TTD in its Parade Grounds in Tirupati on Thursday.

After the unfurling of the National Flag by TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, the Parade by TTD Security Wing led by AVSO Sri Vishwanatham stood as a special attraction. After delivering his R-Day speech the EO felicitated 32 officers and 237 employees on the occasion who exhibited work skills'

Virat, Simba, Indu, Hunter, Varsha, Beauty steals the show: They are not the names of any cricketer or actor or actress. In fact they are Hounds of TTD which have been excelling in catching hold of the culprits, thieves. A mock drill was carried out by the Dog Squad In-Charge Sri Suresh Babu where in these Vigilance Dogs hunted, chased and identified the suspicious objects that stood as cynosure on the occasion.

The devotional and patriotic dance performances by the students of TTD institutions attracted the spectators.

JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Narasimha Kishore, DLO Sri Reddeppa Reddy, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, FACAO Sri Balaji, CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, all HoDs were also present.

TTD JEO (H & E) Inspects TTD Employees Sports meet Arrangements

The JEO for Health and Education Smt Sada Bhargavi on Tuesday evening, inspected SV High School Grounds to verify the arrangements for TTD Employees annual Meet which is scheduled between February 2 to 18.

She directed the officials to arrange Shelter, breakfast, drinking water, parking, etc. to the participants.

DyEO Welfare Smt Snehalata, SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarulu, DEO Sri Bhaskar Reddy, SV College of Music and Dance Principal Sri Sudhakar and others were present.

The star-studded competition is set to begin on December 7 and conclude on December 11. The tournament will take place in Pune at the Balewadi Stadium.

Here is a quick look at the format, all 8 franchises, will play a total of 4 matches to qualify for the semi-final. Each match between two franchises will have a total of 4 games (Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Mixed Doubles and Men's Doubles). Where each game will be worth 20 points, thus there will be a total of 80 points at stake in each match. Each team will play a total of 320 points (80 points x 4 matches) at the league stage. The top 4 teams in the points table will qualify for the semi-finals. One player can only play two games in every match.
