Astabandhana Samarpanam Held at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

Tirupati, 25 Apr. 19: The auspicious event of Astabandhana Samarpanam was held at Sri Varahaswamy temple in Tirumala on Thursday in a religious manner.

The holy Astabandhana paste preparation was held at Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple located Swamy Pushkarini and later the holy paste was applied to the sub-shrines of Sri Vishwaksenulavaru, Sri Ramanujacharyulu, Sri Anjaneya Swamy apart from Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by priests.

The entire event took place under the supervision of Chief Priest Sri Venugopala Dikshitulu. TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO Tirumala Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, temple DyEO Sri Harindranath and others also took part in this celestial fete.

On Friday, Mahashanti Purnahuti will be performed in the yagashala between 8pm and 10pm while on April 27 the celestial fete concludes with Maha Samprokshanam.

Twenty Ritwiks and 10 Veda pathashala students led by chief priest of Srivari temple Sri Venugopala Dikshitulu performed yagashala rituals on Wednesday between 8am and 12 noon and again from 8pm to 10pm.

Sanatana Dharma Should Reach The Grass Root Level - TTD JEo

Tirupati, 25 Apr. 19: The basic tenets of Hindu Sanatana Dharma should reach the grass root level, said Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham.

Speaking to concerned officials in his chambers he said, the Hindu Dharma Prachara programmes should be conducted in all the Gram Panchayats once in every six months. "Identify the dedicated Dharma Pracharakas in all villages panchayats to strengthen dharmic activities. Also improve the HDPP Website and make it more attractive.

The JEO said, the international Organisation for Standardization (ISO) team will visit SV Ayurvedic college and other TTD educational institutions on May 4 and hence asked the concerned officials to be prepared. He also said the Garuda Statue at Alipiri should be made more attractive with advanced electrification. Fire fighting mechanism should be enabled in all the TTD kalyana mandapams located across the country, he added.

Sports Complex Soon For TTD Employees - TTD JEo

Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham on Thursday directed the engineering officials to come out with an action to construct a sports complex for the sake of TTD employees in the empty place located in TTD press building area.

The JEO along with officials inspected the place and said, the sports complex should have all the advanced facilities. For men cricket, football, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton, chess need to be set up while for women kabaddi, carroms, tug of war courts etc.

Later the JEO also inspected TTD call centre to monitor its functioning. He instructed the engineering officials to erect the map of Tirumala at all important places in Tirupati so that the visiting pilgrims will have better information on to where and how to reach their destined place.

Similarly he also instructed them to play display boards pertaining to all local temples in the respective areas.

'Cheliya Untane' was possible only because of Anupama Parameswaran: Singer Yazin Nizar

The Telugu music lovers and film audience are well aware of Yazin Nizar and his hit songs. 'Seethakalam Sooryudila' from 'S/o Satyamurthy', 'Jiya Jale Jale' from 'Loafer, 'Meghalu Lekunna' from 'Kumari 21F', 'Chirunama Thana Chirunama' from 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada', 'O Vasumati O Vasumati' from 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Chandamame' from '118', 'Bali Bali Ra Bali' from 'Baahubali', etc are his renditions. He has crooned for the likes of Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Ram Pothineni, Varun Tej, Nikhil, and Raj Tharun.

The Telugu-Malayalam singer has now come out with a music video titled 'Cheliya Untane', a private song unveiled on Wednesday.

The song, rendered by Yazin and also featuring him as the male lead opposite Anupama Parameswaran, has music by Niro. This is Anupama's first music video. Aditya Music originals has today released it in Telugu and Tamil. The Telugu version has lyrics by Mounika. The Tamil version, titled 'Uriye Unnodu' has lyrics by Niro. The English lyrics heard in the song are by Allen Babu Daniel.

Excerpts from Yazin's interview

I have done a private song titled 'Neeve' in the past. But I didn't act in it although I sang it. 'Cheliya Untane' struck us when I met some of my friends. Niro and I happened to meet for a jam session. This is when the whole idea started. Allen joined us later. We didn't start out to make a music video. Anupama supported us in our endeavour. We were all pleasantly surprised by her support. This is when we thought of doing a music video. Anupama gave us the dates to shoot for the song despite her busy schedule. Due to the team's efforts and the support of Aditya Music, we could successfully make the video.

I don't have many friends in the film industry. Anupama is one of the few friends I know. We were excited when she said 'Yes' to acting in the song. This is her first music video. We completed the shoot in just two days in beautiful locations in Chikmagalur and Telangana. This is a simple love song. The duo happens to meet during a journey.

I have acted in a Telugu song for the first time. I had done a Malayalam song titled 'Angry Babies' in the past. I don't have acting talent. I am a bit camera-shy. I was jittery initially. Doing this song was a learning experience.

It's a positive sign that a great music label like Aditya Music is encouraging music artists and video makers (through private songs). With this kind of support, many more independent music directors will flourish. Most of the hit numbers I have crooned in Telugu were released by Aditya Music.

I have sung the song 'Nuvve Samastham' in 'Maharshi'. This is my third song for Mahesh Babu garu. Previously, I had sung for 'Srimanthudu' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu'. So, this is my third outing in the combination of Devi Sri Prasad garu and Mahesh garu. I have crooned for 'Majili', '118', 'Antariksham' and other films recently. My journey as a singer is quite good. I am excited about the release of 'Maharshi'.
