Sankatahara Ganesha Vratam Held



Tirupati, 4 Dec. 20: As part of Karthika Masa Deeksha, Sankastha Hara Ganesha vratam held at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati on Friday.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Vedic Scholar Sri Pavana Kumara Sharma said, Chaturthi Tithi is important for Lord Ganesh that too the one which occurs after Karthika Pournami.

 

The Vratam held with utmost devotion between 8:30am and 9:30am.

Seventh Phase of Sundarakanda Akhanda Parayana at Tirumala on 6th Dec



Tirumala, 4 Dec. 20: The Seventh Phase of Sundarakanda Akhanda Parayanam is scheduled on December 6 at Tirumala.

 

In this spiritual event, 194 shlokas from 25th 30th Sargas will be recited by Vedic scholars and devotees.

 

TTD has decided to recite 2821 shlokas from 68 chapters of Sundarakanda in 16 phases as the number holds a very significant place. So far six phases have been completed. Seventh phase of Akhanda Parayanam is scheduled to take place on Sunday which will be telecast live on SVBC from 7am onwards.

 

Applications for Admissions into SV College of Music and Dance from 8th Dec


 

Tirupati, 4 Dec. 20: The applications from candidates for admissions in to TTD run SV College of Music and Dance in Tirupati has been invited from December 8 onwards.

 

The interested candidates shall apply for their desirable courses from December 8 to 26. The students have to pay Rs.50 towards application fees. 

 

According to Principal Smt Jamuna Rani, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Harikatha, Carnatic Vocal, instrumental courses including Veena, Flute, Mridangam, Violin, Nadaswaram, Dolu, Ghatam are available. B Music, B Dance, Visarada, Praveena courses are available.  In SV Nadaswaram School, apart from Certificate and Diploma Regular courses, part-time evening course is also available.

 

For Regular courses, the minimum qualification required is Eighth Standard and for Evening course, fifth standard. The interviews will be held to the students from December 28 to 31 in a phased manner.

BIRRD Launches First Bionic Hand in the Country











Tirupati, 3 Dec 20: The TTD-run BIRRD Orthopedic hospital launched the country's first Bionic Hand on Thursday. 

 

Participating in the event via video conference in the Conference Hall at BIRRD, TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy said, under the instructions of Honourable CM of AP BIRRD will be developed in to a super speciality hospital in the field of treating Ortho related ailments. 

 

He said he is so happy that the Hospital has launched the Bionic Hand, a revolution in the field of artificial limb usage in medicine on the day of International Day of Persons with Disability. 

 

Later he interacted with Ms.Gayathri from Hyderabad to whom the first bionic hand was inserted. She expressed immense satisfaction over the functioning of the hand which is arranged to her left arm. 

 

Meanwhile the Makers Hive firm which has created this arm inspired by former President of India, Late Sri Abdul Kalam named it after him as "Kal Arm"(the arm of future for the needy). 

 

According to representatives of Bionic Hand makers, this artificial hand costs around 35-40lakhs in foreign nations while they are manufacturing per piece at Rs.2.75lakhs only. The hand has the capacity to lift nearly 8kilos. 

 

TTD JEO Sri P Basanth Kumar, BIRRD Director Dr Madan Mohan Reddy were also present.

Rudra Yagam and Laksha Bilwarchana Held at Kapiila Teertham






Tirupati, 3 Dec 20: As part of month long Karthika Masa Homa Mahotsavams in the famous shrine of Lord Shiva at Sri Kapilatheertham in Tirupati, Rudra Yagam and Laksha Bilwarchana were performed with utmost religious fervour on Thursday.

 

The Rudra Yagam will last upto December 13 for 11 days. Acharya Pavana Kumara Sharma narrated the importance of Rudra Yagam.

 

Rudra Japam, Homam, Laghu Purnahuti, Rudra Trisati, Bilwarchana, Nivedana, Visesha Deeparadhana, Harati were rendered.

 

While the Laksha Bilwarchana was also observed in the temple between 6am and 12 noon.

 

UMA MAHESWARA VRATAM HELD 

 

As part of Karthika Masa Deeksha, Uma Maheswara Vratam was held in the morning between 8:30am and 9:30am which was telecast live on SVBC.

ZEE5 to premiere Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal-starrer 'Comali'


03 December, 2020: ZEE5 has been entertaining the Telugu audience with new movies, web series, and web shows consistently. The episodes of 'Amrutham Dwitheeyam' have been well-received. Afresh, the streaming platform is going to premiere a new movie on December 4. Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal-starrer 'Comali' will release this Friday on ZEE5 as an exclusive release. 


'Comali', the comedy-drama, comes with an exciting premise. What happens when a man, who was in a coma for 16 years, regains consciousness? How do the changes in society perplex him? Will he face adjustment issues? What was his past like? These are narrated in an exciting manner in the film. This is a consistently engaging film.

Samyuktha Hegde is the film's second heroine. She will be seen in the role of a girl who was in love with the hero in school days and who is now married to some other man. The comedy scenes between comedian Yogi Babu and the hero will have the audience in splits. Senior director KS Ravikumar plays an MLA. Directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, this one has music by Hiphop Tamizha.
