TTD Contemplates A Naval Anti-Drone System (NADS)

 A Naval Anti-Drone System(NADS) is being contemplated to be introduced in Tirumala soon by TTD which instantly detects and jams micro drones said, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


During the media briefing held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday, the EO said, the negotiations are going on with Bharat Electronics Limited(BEL) over the procurement of NADS. "As a part of introducing a secured transportation mechanism for pilgrim luggage, TTD is going for a State of Art luggage tagging system which will come into force likely by this April end. "Akin to the Airport Model, we are going for RFID taggings to the luggage of pilgrims'', he added.


The EO explained that out of 396 TTD Kalyana Mandapams located across the country, the rentals of only 12 Kalyana Mandapams have been enhanced owing to the request of the devotees, by totally renovating the structure, providing A/C, furniture spending Rs.2.8cr etc. The tariffs of the remaining 384 Kalyana Mandapams are not hiked. He also informed the media about the world-class Museum coming up in Tirumala on donation basis by TATA constructions at Rs.150 crore which will be completed by December.


For the first time in the history of TTD, we have released a white paper on all 960 assets extending to an area of about 7,126 acres donated to TTD by various philanthropists for the information of the pilgrim public. Similarly, our bank deposits which were Rs. 13,025 crore in 2019 are now Rs. 15,938 crore while the gold deposits enhanced from 7,339 kilos to 10,258 kilos as per latest statistics. "These figures speak of the transparency in our administrative system and our commitment in discharging our duties and responsibilities for the benefit of devotees'', he asserted. 


The EO also put forth the various social welfare activities being operated by TTD with a special focus on health and education. "Besides various schools and colleges, we run specialized institutions like Deaf and Dumb school, polytechnic for physically handicapped, Poor home, old age home, orphanages etc.free of cost. Superspeciality hospitals like SVIMS, BIRRD, and Paediatric hospitals provide impeccable medical services to the needy and poor. A world class Oncology Institute will also come up by the end of this year", he said.

2068 Temples Coming up Under Srinivsani Funds

 Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana Trust(SRIVANI) was commenced by TTD in 2019 with an aim to construct small temples in SC, ST, BC, fishermen colonies and also to renovate the ancient temples as a part of TTD's mission of taking forward Hindu Sanatana Dharma in a big way, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.


During a media conference arranged at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, the EO elaborated on various issues which were misinterpreted on various social media platforms and by a section of media misleading the devotees. 


Condemning the allegations that SRIVANI Trusts are diverted to pay the salaries of TTD employees and also to state government programmes, he said, the funds from SRIVANI Trust are totally utilized in constructing temples in backward areas and in renovating the age-old temples across the state. 


Giving the statistics he said, at present 2068 temples are under construction in different stages which also includes temples in the states of Telangana, Karnataka and Pondicherry. In a phased manner we will extend the construction activity to other states also in future", he maintained.


Elaborating further he said, among these temples, 320 are being constructed with the co-operation of Samarasata Seva Foundation (SSF) at a cost of Rs.32 crore while the construction of another 932 temples will be taken up with AP Endowments department at Rs.100 crore approximately.


 "Besides, we have received another 667 applications which will be scrutinised and construction will be taken up accordingly. Apart from these temples, another 150 ancient temples are under innovation at a cost of Rs.130 crore.


The EO also said, for Dhoopa-Deepa-Naivedyam activities in these temples, TTD has released Rs. 12.50 crore. A local committee was also formed to look after the affairs of these temples and every month, the amount will be sent to the Committee's account. We also have a separate Account for SRIVANI Trust and Social Audit as well", he maintained.

Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple Brahmotsavams from 11th Feb to 20th Feb


The annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple will be observed between February 11-20 with Ankurarpanam on February 10.


Important days includes Dhwajarohanam on February 11 in the auspicious Meena Lagnam.


Nandi Vahanam on February 18 on the most important day of Maha Sivaratri.


Kalyanotsavam on February 19 and Trisula Snanam, Dhwajavarohanam on February 20.
