The 1052nd Avatara Mahotsavam of the eminent Vaishnava Acharya, Sri Tirumalanambi, will be grandly observed on August 30 and 31 at the Sri Tirumalanambi Temple located in the South Mada Street of Tirumala.
As part of the celebrations, 16 eminent scholars will deliver discourses on the life history of Sri Tirumalanambi in the temple premises.
Sri Tirumalanambi, one of the foremost devotees of Sri Venkateswara, is credited with initiating the sacred service of offering theertha kainkaryam to శ్రీ Venkateshwara. He was both the maternal uncle and revered guru of Bhagavad Ramanujacharya. According to the scriptures, he also recited the Ramayana to Sri Ramanuja.
