The TTD Joint Executive Officer for Health and Education, Dr. A. Sharath directed officials concerned to complete all essential and urgent works at SPW Women’s Junior College without delay.
The JEO inspected the college on Monday evening and speaking on the occasion, he stated that certain issues faced by the students had been brought to his attention and instructed the officials to address the basic needs of the students on a priority basis.
He also directed them to identify works that require permanent solutions and initiate the necessary procedures at the earliest.
He informed that about 2,000 students are currently studying in the college and that the institution has been maintaining a pass percentage of 97%.
He expressed satisfaction over the academic atmosphere and the conducive environment available for students.
The JEO instructed officials to enhance hostel capacity and accommodation facilities, improve medical services, install solar water heaters to provide hot water, establish an e-learning seminar hall, carry out necessary hostel repairs, and strengthen physical education facilities.
The Principal, faculty members, staff, and officials of the SPW College were present during the inspection.
