Several special festivals will be observed
at Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple, Tirupati, during the month of May.
On May 1, Ponnakalva Utsavam will be conducted.
On May 8 and 15 (Fridays), procession of Sri Andal Ammavari will be held in the four mada streets at 6 PM.
On May 9, on the occasion of Sravana Nakshatram, Sri Bhu Sameta Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy will bless devotees in a procession at 6 PM.
Hanuman Jayanthi will be observed on May 12.
On May 18, on Rohini Nakshatram, procession of Sri Parthasarathi Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be held at 6 PM. Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will also be performed on the same day.
Nammalwar Utsavams will be observed from May 21 to 30.
Ankurarpanam for Brahmotsavams will be held on May 22.
Annual Brahmotsavams will be conducted from May 23 to 31, commencing with Dwajarohanam on May 23.
Garuda Vahanam will be on May 27 and Rathotsavam on May 30.
The festivities will conclude with Chakrasnanam and Dwajavarohanam on May 31.
