The 618th birth anniversary celebrations of Saint Tallapaka Annamacharya began grandly at Tallapaka on Saturday.
Srivari Kalyanam was performed in a devotional atmosphere at the Dhyanamandiram with Vedic rituals and chanting. Earlier, group rendition of Annamayya Sankeertanas enriched the spiritual ambience.
Devotees participated in large numbers and were served prasadam.
Upcoming Music concert, Harikatha, and Unjal Seva at the 108-ft Annamayya statue are scheduled in the evening.
