The TTD Additional Executive Officer, Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, on Wednesday conducted a review meeting at Padmavathi Guest House in Tirumala regarding the arrangements for Sri Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti scheduled to be held on February 01.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional EO instructed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the Ramakrishna Theertha Mukkoti, one of the most important torrent festivals held in Tirumala.
He directed the engineering officials to set up shamianas, make announcements through radio broadcasting, and install display boards for the convenience of devotees and also emphasized that TTD security personnel and police should work in coordination.
The Additional EO reviewed arrangements related to security, Annaprasadam distribution, drinking water, medical and health services, and forest department coordination for the benefit of devotees.
He instructed that Srivari Sevaks be deployed for the distribution of Annaprasadam to devotees at Papavinasanam.
No permission:
Meanwhile pilgrims who are suffering from obesity, asthma, heart-related ailments, or other chronic diseases, as well as small children, will not be permitted.
Devotees will be allowed to proceed to the Theertham only after medical screening at Papavinasanam.
To handle emergencies, two ambulances and four medical camps will be set up to provide immediate medical assistance to devotees.
As private vehicles and two-wheelers will not be allowed to Papavinasanam on February 01, APSRTC will operate buses for transporting pilgrims from Gogarbham Dam Point to Papavinasanam.
Devotees will be permitted to visit the theertha only between 5 AM and 12 noon on February 01.
