Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed grandly at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple on Monday morning ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams from May 23 to 31.
The temple premises and sub-shrines were cleansed with sacred scented water mixed with traditional aromatic ingredients, creating a divine spiritual atmosphere.
After the ritual, devotees were allowed for Sarva Darshan.
Temple officials, priests and staff participated in the programme.
