Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam Held








The traditional temple cleansing ritual, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was observed in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on Thursday in connection with annual brahmotsavams scheduled from May 21 to 29 with Ankurarpanam on May 20.


The aromatic Parimalam mixture is smeared all along the roofs, walls, of the main shrine, sub temples and puja utensils were cleaned. This fete took place from 6.30am to 9.30am. From 10am onwards, devotees were allowed for darshan of Mulavirat. 

HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala, DyEO Smt Shanti, AEO Sri Munikrishna Reddy, Superintendent Sri Narayana, Temple Inspector Sri Radhakrishna and other religious staff were also present.

TTD Online Quota for August




TTD is all set to release the online quota of darshan, accommodation and srivari seva voluntary service for the month of August. Details as follows...


Srivari Arjitha Seva Tickets Electronic DIP Registration will be available from 10am of May 18 till 10 am of May 20. Seva Electronic Dip payment period is from May 20 to May 22 (upto 12noon).

Srivari Arjitha Seva Tickets viz.Kalyanam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and SD Seva along with Annual Pavitrotsavam tickets(August 15-17) will be available from 10 AM of May 21 while Virtual Seva tickets on the same day at 3pm.

Tirumala Angapradakshinam Tokens will be available from May 23 at 10AM.

Darshan and Accommodation quota to the SRIVANI Trust Donors will be available on May 23 at 11AM.

Senior Citizens/Physically Challenged quota will be available from
3pm of May 23.

The Special Entry Darshan (Rs.300) tickets will be available on April 24 at 10 AM.

Tirumala & Tirupati Accommodation Quota will be available from 3pm of May 24.

The Srivari Seva voluntary service General quota for Tirumala and Tirupati will be released at 11am while Navaneeta Seva at 12noon and Parakamani Seva at 1pm on May 27.

Applications Invited




Applications are invited from the interested candidates to apply for regular and part-time courses in the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance, SV Nadaswaram and Dolu School for the academic year 2024-25.


The applications will be issued from May 25 onwards and the last date of receiving filled-in applications is June 12. 

SV College of Music and Dance has full-time Visarada (Diploma), Praveena (Advanced Diploma) courses in Vocal, Violin, Veena, Flute, Nadaswaram, Bharatanatyam, Harikatha, Mridangam, Dolu, Ghatam. SV Nadaswaram, Dolu School has full time certificate and diploma courses. Hostel facility will be provided to students from other areas.

Similarly, applications will be issued from May 25 onwards for admission into Evening Part-time Certificate, Diploma, Kala Pravesika Courses for the academic year 2024-25 into SVCMD, Nadaswaram and Dolu school and the last date of receiving filled-in applications is on June 12. 

The full-time courses are available in Vocal, Violin, Veena, Flute, Nadaswaram, Bharatanatyam, Harikatha, Mridangam, Dolu, Ghatam as Visarada(Diploma) and Praveena(Advanced Diploma).

The part-time courses includes vocal, Devotional Music, Veena, Violin, Flute, Mridangam, Ghattam, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi Dance from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

According to the college Principal Dr Uma Muddubala, the SVCMD has a certificate course (4 years) and diploma course (2 years) recognized by Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad. The application for Kala Pravesika (two-year foundation course) is conducted by TTD. 

The applications for both regular and part-time courses can be obtained on payment of Rs 50.

Brahmotsavams in Rishikesh Temple




The annual Brahmotsavams will be held from May 21 to 29 at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Andhrashram at Rishikesh with Ankurarpanam on May 20.


Every day vahana sevas will be observed from 7.30am to 9am in the mornings and 7pm to 8.30pm in the evenings.

Important days includes Dhwajarohanam on May 21, Kalyanotsavam, Garuda Vahanam on May 25, Radhotsavam on May 28, Chakra Snanam on May 29.

HDPP is organising bhakti sangeet programs during the period.

Nrisimha Jayanti on 22nd May




Nrisimha Jayanti will be celebrated on May 22 at  Srivari Temple in Tirumala. Every year Nrisimha Jayanti is being observed in the month of Vaisakha in the advent of Swati Nakshatra. A special abhishekam is performed on this occasion to the Moolamurti of Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy.


Yoga Narasimha Swamy temple:

In the first prakaram of the Srivari Temple, the mandapam on the north-east side of the sanctum sanctorum has a sub-temple of Sri Yoga Narasimhaswamy on the west side. The statue of Sri Yoga Narasimhaswamy was designed according to Shastra. Here the lord appears in Yoga Mudra. The temple is believed to be built between 1330 AD and 1360 AD and Sri Ramanujacharya installed the idol of Sri Yoga Narasimhaswamy in this temple.

Puja to Sri Narasimha Swamy in Vasanta Mandapam

As part of Vaisakha month celebrations, Sri Narasimha Swamy pooja will be performed at Tirumala Vasantha Mandapam from 3 pm to 4.30 pm. This program will be telecast live by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel for the sake of global devotees.

Bhagavat Ramanujacharya Avatara Mahotsavams




Bhagat Sri Ramanujacharya Avatara Mahotsavam will be held from May 10 to 12 under the auspices of Alwar Divya Prabandha Project of TTD in Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati.


On this occasion, a literary conference and musical program on Sri Ramanujacharya will be held from 6 pm to 8.30 pm for three days. 

On May 10 evening at 5.30pm HH Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy along with HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy commence the fete with their Anugraha Bhashanam.

Later renowned scholar Sri Chakravarthi Ranganatham give his religious discourse on Sri Ramanuja Vaibhavam followed by devotional music rendered by Smt Revati and team.

Teppotsavam in Devuni Kadapa




The annual Teppotsavam in Devuni Kadapa of YSR district will be held from May 21 to 23 in Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple.  

         
As a part of this, on May 21, Sri Krishna along with Godadevi will take three rounds, on May 22 Sridevi Bhudevi along with Sri Venkateswara Swamy will go for five rounds, and on May 23 Sridevi and Bhudevi along with Sri Venkateswara Swami will take a pleasure ride for seven rounds on the finely decked floats.

Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held from 10 am to 11 am and Thiruveedhi Utsavam from 6 pm to 6.30 pm followed by Teppotsavam during these three days.

On this occasion, devotional and cultural programs will be conducted under the auspices of the Hindu Dharmaprachara Parishad and the Dasa Sahitya Project of TTD.

Padmavati Pariyanotsavams from 17th to 19th May




The three-day annual festival of Sri Padmavati Parinayotsavam will be celebrated in Tirumala from May 17 to 19.  


The celestial wedding ceremony of Sridevi Bhudevi and Srinivasa are being performed with great pomp at the Parinayotsava Mandapam in the Narayangiri Gardens every year.

In this three-day event, Sri Malayappa Swamy will be worshipped on Gajavahanam on the first day, on Horse-carrier on the second day, and on Garuda Vahanam on the last day.  

TTD has cancelled Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara sevas on these three days.

According to the Puranas, about five thousand years ago, that is, in the early days of Kali Yuga, Sri Maha Vishnu came to earth as Sri Venkateswara from Vaikuntha.  

At that time Akasharaja, who was ruling Narayanavana, gave his daughter Sri Padmavati in marriage to Sri Venkateswara.  

Sri Venkatachala Mahatyam states that Akasharaja performed divine wedding in Narayanavanam on Vaishaka Shuddha Dashami in the advent of Phalguni Nakshatra.

TTD organizes the Padmavati Parinayotsavam for three days, one day before and one day after every Vaisakh Shuddha Dashami Tithi to mark the auspicious occasion of the wedding of Padmavati with Srinivasa.  

This festival has been in vogue since 1992. Marking the significance of Narayanavanam where the wedding of Sri Padmavati Srinivasa took place in those days, TTD celebrates Sri Padmavati Pariyanotsavam in Narayanagiri Gardens at Tirumala.

The traditional temple cleansing ritual Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple on May 9.


The annual Brahmotsavams in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple will be observed from May 16 to 24 with Ankurarpanam on May 15.

The important days includes Dhwajarohanam on May 16, Garuda Vahanam on May 20, Radhotsavam on May 23, Dhwajavarohanam on May 24.

Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed from 6:30am to 9:30am. Pilgrims will be allowed for Darshan from 10am onwards.

Pushpa Yagam at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple on 12th May




Pushpayagam will be performed on May 12 at Tirupati Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple with Ankurarpanam on May 11 


On May 12 between 10 am and 11 am Snana Tirumanjanam will be conducted for the Utsavarlu.

Later, from 4pm to 6 pm, along with Sita and Lakshmana, Sri Kodandarama Swamy is offered with various kinds of flowers.  

Later, at 7 o'clock in the night, Sri Kodandarama Swami along with Sri Seetha Devi and Sri Lakshmana Swamy blesses the devotees in the four mada streets of the temple.  

Grihastas (two persons on a ticket) can participate in Pushpayagam by paying Rs.1,000/- per ticket.

The annual Brahmotsavam was held from April 5 to 13.

Pushpayagam is performed as a sin-free ritual to the errors committed by the priestly attendants, office staff, non-authorities or devotees with or without their knowledge.

Ayodhyakanda Akhanda Parayanam Held








The 10th edition of Ayodhyakanda Akhanda Parayanam was held on Monday at the Nada Neerajanam stage in Tirumala. SVBC telecasted the program live from 7 am to 9 am.


A total of 164 Shlokas from 35th to 39th sargas of Ayodhyakanda, 25 slokas of Yogavasishtam and Dhanvantari Mahamantra were recited.
           
Scholars of Dharmagiri Veda Vijnana Peetham, Dr. Ramanujacharya, Sri Ananta and Dr. Maruti recited the Shlokas.  

The teachers of Dharmagiri, SV Vedic University, Higher Education Studies, National Sanskrit University participated in Akhanda Parayanam.

On this occasion, the artists of Annamacharya Project Sri Rajesh sang the "Devatala Gachina ..." at the beginning of the program and  "Rama Rama Sri Raghurama..." at the end.

TTD officials, scholars and a large number of devotees participated in this program.

Annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Konetiryaya Swamy at Keelapatla




Annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Konetiraya Swamy in Keelapatla, Chittoor district from 16th May.


It will be held grandly till 24th.  

Brahmotsavam starts with Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on May 14 and Senadhipati Utsavam and Ankurarpanam on May 15 from 6 pm to 8.30 pm.

Vahana sevas are available from 8 am to 10 am and from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Important days includes Kalyanotsavam, Garuda Vahanam on May 21, Vasantotsavam,  on May 22, Rathotsavam on May 23, Chakra Snanam on May 24

Devotees participating in Kalyanotsavam have to pay Rs.500/-per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.

One-Day Annaprasadam Donation @ ₹38 Lakhs




The devotees not only can donate but also render Annaprasadam services to the pilgrims in Tirumala under one-day donation to SV Annaprasadam.

 
Details of donation amounts for Annaprasada distribution

One day Annaprasadam - Rs.38 lakhs, Breakfast - Rs.8 lakhs, Lunch - Rs.15 lakhs Dinner - Rs.15 lakhs.

The donor's name is displayed in the Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex.  

Likewise, donors can get an opportunity to serve Annaprasadam here one day on the date as per their choice.

Tipper Donated







Chennai based Ashok Leyland has donated a Tipper worth over Rs. 31lakh to TTD on Saturday at Tirumala.


Every year, one vehicle from the company is being donated to TTD. And this year One 1920 TU Box Fully Built Tipper is donated.

Special Puja was performed to the Tipper on the occasion. TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy, President of Ashok Leyland, Sri Sanjeev Kumar were present.

Brahmotsavams in New Delhi Temple




The annual Brahmotsavams will be held from May 21 to 29 at Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in New Delhi with Ankurarpanam on May 20.


Before the Brahmotsavam, Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam (traditional Temple Cleaning ritual) is performed on May 14. On May 21, between 10.45 am to 11.30 am, the flag hoisting ceremony will be held in Karkataka Lagnam. 

During Brahmotsavam, Vahana Sevas will be conducted between 8 am to 9 am and again between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm. Pushpayagam will be performed on May 30 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Important days includes Dhwajarohanam on May 21, Kalyanotsavam, Garuda Vahanam on May 25, Radhotsavam on May 28, Chakra Snanam on May 29.

Special Events in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple in the Month of May




Following are the festivals in the month of May at Tirupati Sri Kodandaramaswamy temple.


- May 4, 11, 18, 25: Sri Sitarama Lakshmana Mula Virat Abhishekam will be performed 

- May 8: Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be held at 8 am in the temple on the occasion of Amavasya. Hanumanta Vahanam at 7 pm.

- May 11: Ankurarpanam in Sri Kodandaramaswamy Pushpa Yagam.

The 10th episode of Ayodhyakanda Akhanda Parayanam will be held on May 6 at Nadaneerajanam stage in Tirumala.


SVBC will telecast the program live from 7 am to 9 am for the sake of global devotees.

A total of 164 shlokas will be recited in five sargas from 35 to 39 from Ayodhyakanda, 25 slokas of Yogavasishtam and Dhanvantari Mahamantra, total 189 shlokas.  

Dharmagiri SV Veda Vijnana Peetham, SVVeda University, TTD Vedic Scholars, TTD Sambhavana Scholars, Sri Annamacharya Project, National Sanskrit University Scholars will participate in this program.

Appreciation Pour in For TTD Programs






The monthly live phone-in program Dial your EO held at the Conference Hall in the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday is flooded with laurels from pilgrim circles over the pilgrim-friendly initiatives taken up by TTD especially Post - Covid onwards.


A total of 30 callers including a NRI caller from Muscat, have given their valuable suggestions and feedback to the TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and appreciated the TTD top boss and his team for several versatile changes brought in Darshan, accommodation patterns to reduce the woes of devotees. Some excerpts

Among the callers who appreciated the efforts of TTD EO and his team in making pilgrim-friendly arrangements, Sri Harindranath Reddy, Sri Purushottam from Hyderabad, Sri Srinivas from Warangal, Narasappa from Bengaluru were there. After the late Sri PVRK Prasad, we are witnessing such an overall development in Tirumala, the caller Sri Harindranath Reddy observed.

Thanking the pilgrim callers for the words of encouragement, the EO replied, TTD mandarins and the workforce are always at helm of pilgrim service. But I appeal to all of you not to fall prey to some biased and baseless reports in a section of the media. "Your words of appreciation will boost our morale and offer services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims with more dedication", he maintained.

Callers Sri Ravindra, Smt Ruchita Devi, Smt Lavanya from Hyderabad, Sri Nageswara Reddy from Vanaparthi, Sri Eswar from Nandyal have brought to the notice of EO about the buffering issues in Srivari Seva online application. Answering the callers, the EO said, the  Srivari Seva online application was introduced to enhance transparency in the bookings and also to provide opportunity to the devotees present across the country to register as Srivari Seva volunteers. The application issues, if any, will be rectified under the TTD IT wing soon.

Other callers included Sri Prasad from Kakinada who sought EO to reprint Kavitraya Mahabharatam, login to the joint donor by Sri Murali from Bobbili, arrangements to keep wet clothes while having Varaha Swamy darshan after Pushkarini Snanam etc.

Answering all the callers, the EO said the possibilities of implementation will be verified.

A caller Sri Narendra from Medak sought EO to arrange any special darshan for the Blind to which he answered already TTD is providing separate darshan to the handicapped and senior citizens and they can avail darshan facility in that.

Devotees Sri Saikrishna, Sri Venkateswara Rao from Amalapuram, Sri Mahesh from Lingampalle suggested EO to make some arrangements to avoid congestion beyond Bangaru Vakili to which the EO replied many permutations and combinations are being tried to avoid the congestion since decades and it's a never-ending issue. However, he said, he will inspect and check for alternatives.

To the query of Sri Appanna from Visakhapatnam the EO said, maintaining hotels in Tirumala by TTD is not possible. "So we have given four Janata Canteens to APTDC fixing prices that are affordable to the devotees", he added.

JEOs Smt Gautami, Sri Veerabrahmam, CEO Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and others were present.

Tirumala April MonthsHighlights




After the Dial your EO program, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy during the media briefing highlighted the Darshan and other particulars related to devotees in the month of April.


He reiterated that TTD works in the larger interests of the multitude of visiting pilgrims and hence the pilgrims visiting the hill shrine are increasing year after year. 

The pilgrim initiatives are a never-ending process and the entire TTD work force is dedicated to the pilgrim service, he maintained.
