momentous "Shramdaan" cleanliness campaign at the Raj Bhavan premises
on the morning of October 1, 2023. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the
core principles of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The
Hon'ble Governor passionately implored all citizens to embrace this noble
cause, underscoring our collective responsibility toward a cleaner and greener
nation. She commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's unwavering commitment to
this vital mission and pledged the Raj Bhavan's steadfast dedication to
maintaining an eco-friendly establishment. In a heartfelt plea, she called upon
the people of Telangana to foster a culture of cleanliness in their immediate
surroundings.
The
"Shramdaan" event bore witness to wholehearted participation from Raj
Bhavan officials and staff, highlighting the paramount importance of community
involvement in realizing the objectives of Swachh Bharat.
Governor
Soundararajan's leadership serves as a beacon, inspiring citizens to actively
engage in this movement. As the morning sun bathed Raj Bhavan in its warm
embrace, the Governor's message resounded, echoing a shared vision for a
cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous future for all.

Formation of Telangana Brahmin Parishad by the government
for the holistic development of Brahmins
The
Vipprohita Brahmin Sadan Bhavan, constructed in Duraj Palli, will be
inaugurated on Sunday. This building, built with an allocation of Rs. 2.50
crores from the state government, stands on an acre of land generously donated
by Dr. A. Ramaiah, a resident of Suryapet. The construction of this two-storied
building commenced with the laying of the foundation stone by Power Minister
Jagadish Reddy on August 19, 2017. The Chief Minister of the State, K.
Chandrasekhar Rao, initiated the construction of this groundbreaking Brahmin
Sadan building, equipped with all the necessary facilities to host cultural and
socio-vedic programs, as well as welfare programs for the Brahmin community. It
is worth noting that the Chief Minister has previously inaugurated a
state-level Brahmin Sadan Bhawan with a budget of Rs. 12 crores in Gopanapalli
village of Serilingam Palli mandal, Rangareddy district. Construction of
Brahmana Sadan has already been completed in Siddipet and Cheryala.
Additionally, Brahman sadhans in Khammam town and Madhira, with allocations of
Rs. 75 lakhs and Rs. 73 lakhs, respectively, is currently underway.
Formation of Telangana Brahmin Parishad for the holistic
development of Brahmins:
To ensure
the comprehensive development of Brahmins in the state, the Telangana Brahmin
Parishad, comprising 18 members and chaired by retired IAS officer Dr. KV
Ramanachari, has been established. The Parishad oversees the implementation of
numerous welfare schemes for Brahmins, including the Vivekananda Foreign
Education Scheme, Sri Ramanuja Fee Reimbursement Scheme, Financial Assistance
to Vedic Schools, Honorarium to Vedic/Sastra Scholars, Financial Assistance to
Vedic Students, Encouragement for Entrepreneurship among Brahmins, Financial
Assistance to Telangana Brahmin Unemployed Youth for Competitive Examinations,
and Vippori Brahmin Sadan. The government extends its support for the holistic
development of Brahmins through financial assistance for traditional schools,
Akshayanidi, and other schemes. Till date, the government has spent Rs. 261
crores under these schemes. The Parishad contributes a maximum of 75% of the
construction cost for Vipprohita Brahmin Sadhana buildings.
The
government's objective is the welfare of all sections of society. The Telangana
government emphasizes equal importance for all castes, implementing welfare
schemes and constructing self-respect buildings across the state, earning
recognition and acclaim.

Hyderabad, September 24th, 2023: Silver Oaks International School – a 22-year-old institution, nurturing both character and competence with an innovative pedagogy and an indigenous research-led curriculum; hosted a unique charitable pop-up event - Silver OaksStreet Store, to provide succour to the underprivileged, at Silver Oaks International Schools, Bachupally and Beeramguda in Hyderabad; today.
As part of the initiative, the students of Silver Oaks International Schools collected eighty thousand unused and redundant articles, books, toys, clothes, school bags, shoes and other utility items in usable condition, from their homes and that of their relatives and friends. Good Samaritans from the community too pitched in by contributing their bit to the noble initiative. Eighteen hundred kids and elders from deprived sections of the society visited the schools and picked the items of utility for their personal or family use.
The ’Silver Oaks Street Store’ initiative instils values of caring and sharing amongst the students of the School at a young age, helping them grow into compassionate and socially responsible individuals, who actively contribute to the well-being of all communities. While it’s also a means to clear the clutter at home, making it more airy, liveable and healthy, the biggest takeaway for the kids is building a strong character and imbibe good habits, to become a responsible individual. The initiative brightened up and brought smiles on the faces of underprivileged, in owning and cherishing the items they desired.
The Street Store was launched under the school’s major initiative ‘Me and My Country, We Grow Together’ which hosts a plethora of social responsibility activities throughout the year. Another such event under the umbrella initiative is ‘Coins For The Country’ where the students have raised about Rs. 1,50,00,000 and contributed it to the education of less fortunate children in rural areas. The primary goal of ‘Silver Oaks Street Store’ is to bridge the socio-economic divide by enabling able families to directly support the less fortunate. Through this activity, articles of utility were made available for the underprivileged to choose across all the four campuses of Silver Oaks International Schools in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, today.

In the movie Devil, "Maaya Chesave” song beautifully portrays the journey of love between the hero (Kalyanram) and the heroine (Samyuktha Menon).
