Quality medical education is crucial for country’s health system















Hyderabad, July 31: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday said that quality medical education is vital for the country’s healthcare system.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need to have more number of doctors and other healthcare workers across the world.

The Governor was addressing the Graduation Ceremony of MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences, here.

She said that there was tremendous increase in the number of medical seats ever since Shri Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister of the country in 2014.

Around 30,000 MBBS seats and 24,000 PG medical seats were created additionally in our country since 2014. The Governor pointed out that the number of UG medical seats in the country will be around One Lakh in near future.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has also appreciated the Telangana Government’s decision to establish six more medical colleges in our State.

The National Medical Commission established by the Central government is heralding accountability and transparency in the medical education in the country.

The Governor called upon the young passing out medical graduates to uphold the highest standards of medical professional ethics.

The Governor presented gold medals and other medals to the meritorious students as part of the Graduation Ceremony.

Governor calls for better awareness on mental health issues

Hyderabad, July 31: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday called for increased awareness on mental health issues.

She said that due to lack of mental health awareness, many people and their families have been suffering silently.

 “Mental health is an essential and integral part of health. It is just not the absence of the mental illness. It is the foundation for wellbeing and effective functioning of individuals,” she added.

The Governor was virtually launching the 7th annual conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Telangana State (TSPSYCON-2021), from the Raj Bhavan, here.

She stated that mental health is one of the leading non-communicable diseases ailing the world. Prevalence of psychiatric disorders witnessed a massive increase since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor said that if diagnosed and treated early, it will not result in serious consequences. It is important to acknowledge mental illness as a health issue and seek the professional help without any hesitation.

“The family members and others must not stigmatize the mental illness. Instead they should support the affected and help them recover by seeking professional medical help,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed concern that every 6th Indian needs help on mental health.

“Studies are indicating that India is likely to incur a huge loss of around 1.3 Trillion US dollars between 2012 and 2030 due to these mental health issues affecting large number of people,” she added.

The Governor lauded that some celebrities have started openly discussing about the mental health issues and the trauma that they went through and how they bounced back with the medical help. She termed it as a welcome sign.

Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata First Notice Out, Superstar’s Birthday Blaster On August 9th



The makers of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated flick Sarkaru Vaari Paatabeing directed by the Parasuram directorial have come up with rejoicing updates. While they have released First Notice poster, Superstar’s Birthday Blaster is announced to be out on August 9th.


The First Notice looks kick-ass and different from regular first look posters. Mahesh Babu appears at stylish best and he is seen coming out of a luxury red-colour car. Sports a tiny round earring, long hair and a one-rupee coin tattoo behind ear, Mahesh Babu is super cool here in trendy outfit.

We can also see three men leaving the place on bikes. This all hints at Mahesh Babu going to take on them. The poster is striking and sets bar high for Superstar’s Birthday Blaster to be out in another nine days.

The poster also shows January 13th as the film’s release date. It’s an ideal date, as the next day will be Bhogi, followed by Sankranthi and Kanuma. The extended weekend will favour the film to rake in record collections.

On the other hand, Sankranthi is a lucky season for Mahesh Babu who enjoyed several hits for the festival. Particularly, his last movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata ended up as highest grosser for the actor.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment and 14 Reels Plus banners. Star heroine Keerthy Suresh is essaying Mahesh Babu’s love interest in the film being produced jointly by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta.

Music sensation Thaman SS is providing music for the film, while R Madhi is the cinematographer. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor, while AS Prakash is art director.

Jacqueline Fernandez Is Gadang Rakkamma in Kichcha Sudeepa starrer Vikrant Rona


In line with the grand revelations that have been announced about the upcoming Kichcha Sudeepa-starrer Vikrant Rona. After announcing that the film will be made in 3D, its makers now unveil the first look of Jacqueline Fernandez, who will be seen essaying an interesting role in it. Displayed on billboards across Mumbai, and other cities of the country. The first glimpse reveals the Bollywood star's character Raquel D’Costa Aka Gadang Rakkamma in the pan-Indian 3D film and her look as well. 


Her look in the film will have a fusion of multiple ethnicities. She plays ‘Gadang Rakkamma’ who runs a tavern in a fictional place. She will be seen matching wits with Vikrant Rona, essayed by Baadshah Kichcha Sudeep 


Jacqueline inspired headlines as the word about her stepping aboard the Vikrant Rona universe spread like fire. Not only will the stunning actress be seen portraying a pivotal character, she will also be seen shaking a leg with Sudeepa in the film.

Balamevvadu Movie Title Track Out: Mani Sharma Composed, MM Keeravani Sung The Number


"Balamevvadu" is a film that reflects the thirst of corporate hospitals for money and also the scams of medical mafia. Dhruvan Katakam is making his debut as a hero with this film. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will be working with yet another young director Naveen Medaram and the unique story set in British Era bowled him to give his nod for the project Devil to be produced by Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures banner. The film comes with the tagline- The British Secret Agent.

Set in Madras presidency Of British India in 1945, Devil is the story of a British secret agent who takes up the job of solving a dark mystery. This mystery is deeper than he could fathom and this leads him into a web of love, deceit and betrayal. His success and failure, both have serious repercussions and this mystery has the potential to change the course of history.

Well-known actors and top-notch technicians will be working for this magnum opus. Srikanth Vissa, the writer of Pushpa, has provided story for the film that will have music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar.

Devil’s first look was released for Kalyan Ram’s birthday and it got overwhelming response. Kalyan Ram appeared in a never-seen-before avatar as a secret British agent.

Offer your dedicated services with a motto of Work is Worship, said TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.

 

Addressing the newly appointed 119 TTD employees on compassionate grounds, during the valedictory session of their 15-day training programme at SVETA on Friday, the TTD EO in his motivational message said the employees should live up to the dictum of TTD which believes in that Service to Mankind is service to God and Work First God Next.


The EO said each employee should thoroughly study the rules, regulations, GOs of TTD and service rules to excel in their work. He also shared with them about his training experience imparted to trainee IAS.  He also suggested they should prepare for competitive exams and achieve higher promotions also.

 

In her message, JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi called on the new recruits not to forget their duties and responsibilities. "With this intention alone we have given training programme to you for 15 days with stalwarts along with field visits to various temples for practical experience", she added. She also said, the plants which each one of these employees planted at SVETA shall be taken care of by them alone till their service period in TTD.

 

Earlier, the TTD EO handed over the posting letters to the employees as well as their training certificates on the occasion along with JEO.

TTD Panchangavya Products on Anvil - TTD EO




TTD Executive Officer, Dr KS Jawahar Reddy on Friday directed the officials concerned to speed up the production of herbal products from Panchagavya (cow dung and urine) and also their sale in Tirumala and Tirupati at the earliest.

 

Addressing a review meeting with officials of SV Goshala at Sri Padmavati Rest House, the EO said among probable products from Panchagavya like Dhoopam, Soaps, Agarbattis, Detergents should be taken up for production as soon as possible.

 

He said the Coimbatore based Ashirwad Ayurveda Pharmacy India Pvt. Ltd have said that Pancha gavya could be used to make many medicinal products as well. The EO also said the sale of few Panchagavya products used in daily pujas in temples like dhoopachurnam, Agarbattis, Sambrani cups, Dhoop sticks, Dhoop cones and Vibhuti should be sold for use by devotees in their households and also in the temples.

  

Similarly other Panchagavya products like tooth powder, face pack, face powder, herbal shampoo, nasal drops, should be made available for sale. Pancha gavya herbal floor cleaner should be used in TTD rest house, offices and other external areas. He also wanted cow dung bricks be used in Homas and all the products be stored in DPW stores at Tirupati.

 

TTD EO said the Panchagavya products shall be first made available for sale in Tirumala and Tirupati and later in other regions.

Anjanadri is Adobe to Anjaneya







The pontiff of Kurtalam Siddheswara Peetham Sri Sri Sri Siddheswarananda Bharati Mahaswami affirmed that the Valmiki Ramayana had clearly mentioned Anjanadri of Tirumala as the birthplace of Sri Anjaneya Swamy.

 

He was addressing a two day international Webinar hosted jointly by the Sri Venkateswara Higher Vedic Studies Institute of TTD and National Sanskrit University which commenced on Friday in Tirupati.

 

Participating in the video conference Sri Bharati Mahaswami said the Brahmanda Puranam also affirmed the fact in addition to other Puranas which hail Anjanadri as the birthplace of Sri Anjaneya.

 

He said the Kishkinda theory lacked puranic and traditional support materials and persons who had no knowledge of Puranas were unfit to talk and make comments on the holy concept.

 

In his presidential address the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said soon after he took charge at Tirumala, he received several e-mails about Anjaneya Swamy birthplace and when he posed them to pundits and learned persons they too concurred and provided puranic evidences.

 

He said TTD set up a pundit Parishad in December 2020 for comprehensive research on Puranas, history, and geographic and Archaeological data and affirm Anjanadri as the birthplace of Hanuman.

 

The pundit Parishad also visited locations in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra wherever locals claimed as the birthplace of Hanuman. Finally on the auspicious day of Sri Ramanavami day on April 21 this year, TTD published a booklet with all authoritative evidences gathered by the pundits Parishad. The report was kept open for public debate inviting suggestions, objections etc.

 

TTD also organised a discussion meeting with a few but their unparliamentarily approach and the language they used was condemnable. TTD is ready to conduct another round of debate, if necessary to remove misconceptions etc.

 

Speaking on the occasion Dean of Mahindra University Law college Dr Madabushi Sridhar said there was enough proof of Anjanadri as Hanuman birthplace including an Oxford university publication of 2007 - "Hanuman’s Came". The reference to Anjanadri has been there decades ahead of the TTD study, he added.

 

Acharya V Muralidhar Sharma, the Chairman of TTD pundits Parishad and the Vice-Chancellor of National Sanskrit University said the webinar was being conducted to spread data on the findings of TTD Pundits Parishad which will soon be brought out in form of a book. He said without Puranas the concept of Indianism will be blank.

 

Jeeva director Acharya Samudrala Ranga Ramanuja Charyulu said everyone should read and digest the content of Puranas, Venkatachala Mahatyam, Venkatachala Itihasamala etc. for more information on Anjaneya birthplace.

ZEE5's free vaccination drive Sankalpam receives a great response







Unveils 'Any Time Manoranjanam' campaign with Hero Satyadev and Television stars Meghana Lokesh and Deepthi Manne
