Pavitrotsavam at Sri Kodandarama Swamy Vari Temple from 4th to 6th August

TTD is organising annual Pavitrotsavam Mahotsavam at Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple from August 4 to 6 in Ekantham in view of Covid guidelines.

 

As part of festivities of the three day event Ankurarpanam will be performed on August 3 evening in the temple beside the Acharya Ritwick Varanam, Senadhipati utsavam, Medini Puja, Mritsangrahanam rituals.

 

On August 4, the first day of mahotsavam, Pavitra pratista shall be performed at Yagashala and Pavitra samarpana on August 5 and on August 6, the Purnahuti and other vaidika rituals will herald the conclusion.

 

On all three days Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed for the utsava idols of Sri Sitarama sameta Lakshmana Swamy in the morning and Asthana will be held at Bashyakarula Sannidhi in the evening.

 

The pavitrotsavam is an annual event performed at all the Vaishnava temples after the Brahmotsavam festival to cleanse the temple and ward of bad effects of any lapses occurred during the year and to enhance the divinity of the temple.
