TTD Plans a Green Carpet Welcome for its Visitors











Tirupati, 30 Apr. 19: To attract the tens of thousands of visitors who throng the temple city of Tirupati for pilgrimage, the TTD is contemplating to offer a "Green carpet Welcome" to its visitors by developing bio wall on a huge scale.

During is inspection at Alipiri, Sapthagiri Junctions and Padmavathi Nilayam (PAN) amenities complex on Tuesday, Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham said, the roads laid by TTD in Tirupati stretches to about 26 kilometers. This includes nine arterial roads. We want to develop green cover in a big way leaving the area which falls under Garuda Varadhi and smart city corporation limits and we have been intensively working on this from the past one and a half months. By June, Tirupati will don a complete new look", JEO maintained.

Adding further JEO said, the Alipiri junction will soon get a new look. On a trial run we made electrification to Garuda statue which grabbed the attention of denizens. Similarly we want to develop all the junctions under our purview, he added. 

Tall trees like Sypholobium japonicum(Pogada), Spathodea and peltophorum popularly known as the  Flame of the Forest have been planted in PAN building area at Tiruchanoor since the area has concrete floor. While the Bougainvillea have come up very well in the junctions. Apart from this, planting of Gardenias (aromatic plants) are all underway at some places. On the whole, the temple city will provide ethereal look to the millions of devotees who throng this place as a part of their pilgrimage", JEO asserted.

Bhashyakarula Utsavam Commences






Tirumala, 30 Apr. 19: The 19-day religious fete, Sri Bhashyakarula Utsavam commenced on a grand note in Tirumala on Tuesday.

The Sri Vaishnavaite Saint Bhagavat Sri Ramanujacharya has penned Sri Bhashyam and hence became famous as Bhashyakarulavaru.

The festive commenced on the advent of Arudra Star whichhappens to be the birth start of the saintly person. As a part of this festival the processional deity of Sri Bhashyakarulavaru was taken on a procession in golden tiruchi in the mada streets. 

As a part of this 19 day fete, Bhashyakarula Sattumora will be observed on May 9 and the festival concludes on May 18.

506 Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Students Script History in JEE (Main), 2019




Telangana Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Societies scripted history with a record number of 506 students cracked JEE (Main) 2019 and qualified for JEE Advanced 2019.   Never before in the histories of the both societies had witnessed such a large number of students coming out with flying colours in JEE (Mains) exam and they all stand tall defying poverty and deprivation.
Of the 506 students, 307 are from social welfare residential institutions and 199 from tribal welfare institutions. 22 social welfare and 13 tribal welfare students have qualified in the open category. What makes their performance is truly special is the fact that all the students hail from villages and tribal hamlets, whose parents work as labourers, vegetable sellers, masons, roadside tea sellers and clercks.   
Rajnikesh Vardhan of Social Welfare IIT College, Gowlidoddi secured 203 marks out of 360 with 98.41 percentile. Korra Mahesh of Tribal Welfare IIT Study centre, Rajendra Nagar bagged all India 410 rank in the ST category with 95.3 percentile. Azmeera Mahesh of Rajendra Nagar college clinched all India 486 rank in the ST category.
The current year’s results remain a golden lettered moment said Secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar, while thanking the chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Minister for Welfare Koppula Eshwar for helping to bring a new generation of students from the marginalized communities under the KG-PG Mission. Under the KG-PG Mission, the government is providing free long-term coaching facilities to poor students on par with the corporate institutions, besides nutritious food and coaching materials free, the secretary further said.    
On this occasion, the Secretary congratulated the students and said, the entire credit goes to the teachers and principals for their hard work and dedication.
