Ramanuja was a Great Social Reformer

 





Tirupati, 7 May 19: The Sri Vaishnava Saint Sri Ramanujacharya was a great social reformer said, HH Sri Tirumala Chinna Jiyar Swamy.

Speaking during the inaugural session of Saint Ramanujacharya Jayanthi which commenced on a grant note in Annamacharya Kalamandiram at Tirupathi on Tuesday, he said, all the kainkaryams were introduced and streamlined by Sri Ramanujacharya across all Sri Vaishnava temples.

Later scholars Dr KTV Raghavan spoke on Ramanuja Vaibhavam while Dr Chakravarthi Ranganathan on Tatva Trayam. 

Alwar Divya Prabandha Project Special Officer Dr PS Ganesh Murthy was also present.

Vice Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command met Hon'ble Governor Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

TTD JEo Visits Gangamma Temple

 










Tirupati, 7 May 19: Tirupati JEO Sri B Lakshmikantham along with his spouse Smt Sobhalatha visited the Gangamma temple at Tatayyagunta on the first day of the Gangamma Jatara, which commenced with traditional "Chatimpu" on Tuesday.

The temple chairman Sri Munikrishna and EO Smt Kasturi received them. Later the temple authorities presented Ammavari Prasadams to the JEO Tirupati, after the couple presented traditional silks to the deity on the eve of jatara.
