Arvind Kumar,IAS., Principal Secretary to Govt. (MA&UD) inspected the works at IKEA junction
Principal Secretary Municipal
Administration Arvind Kumar today said that the HMDA is completing development
works on war footing fully utilizing the lockdown period. The lesser traffic due to the lockdown in the
usually crowded ikea junction has enabled the HMDA to take up beautification
works.
Mr Arvind Kumar today inspected the
works being taken up at the ikea junction near the IT corridor and instructed the
officials to complete the works within one week.
Landscape beautification at the
rotary of the ikea junction is being developed jointly by the engineering and
urban forestry wings of HMDA. The works
have been taken up in two pockets. The
landscape is proposed with sculptures
and age old aesthetic trees with illumination.
Apart from junction improvements and greenery the junction is being developed
aesthetically with metal designs of various animals. Five olive trees and other
stone carvings are also being set up. Commuters will be in for a pleasant surprise
once the lockdown ends, Mr Kumar observed.
Hgcl MD Santosh, CE HMDA B L N Reddy and other officials were present.

TTD Postpones Padmavathi Parinayotsavam
Tirumala, 30 Apr. 20: In view of ongoing COVID 19 lockdown restrictions in Tirumala, TTD has decided to postpone the three-day annual event, Sri Padmavathi Parinayotsavam which is scheduled from May 1-3.
Usually this fete is observed in a big way by TTD in Narayanagiri Gardens every year. But due to lockdown restrictions, TTD has initially decided to confine this fete inside the temple this year.
But for that also, as it requires a bear minimum of 70 religious and non-religious staff to perform the fete, observing social distancing in the available space is not possible.
So TTD has decided to postpone the fete after consulting Sri Pedda Jiyar Swamy of Tirumala, Agama advisors and chief priests of the temple. The fresh dates of the performance of the festival will be announced later.
“A” - Title Poster Released
Avanthika Productions “A” (AD INFINITUM) Telugu feature film completed its shooting and released its Title Poster. Nithin Prasanna, Preethi Asrani (Malli Rava , Pressure Cooker ), Baby Deevena (Jabardast ) , Rangadam, Krishna Veni, Bharadwaj are the main cast of this film.
Ugandhar Muni, who did his film making at New York Film Academy, is directing this movie. Let’s hear to what he has to say:
The story spans from 1977 to 2019 and has a very unthinkable and unique premise, this concept was never explored in India cinema, or even in any of the World Cinema. Most of the technical team like me are from reputed film schools, who were hired after a tough scrutiny, so you can expect a very technically well-made movie, and I am very fortunate to get such a team. To get the right casting, we spent around 4 months, did more than 300 auditions, and in the end- it paid off, believe me - it’s a terrific cast.
Definitely this movie will give a genuine fulfilling experience for the audience, especially if they are fans of Thriller genre.
Evergreen hit of Selva Raghavan!
It's actually 13 years ago. Still, it's sweet and evergreen. Director Selva Raghavan (Sri Raghava in Telugu film industry) directed a big star for the first time in Telugu. He delivered a hilarious film '
Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule' (AMAV), a women-centric domestic story with the right feel and fervor for Venkatesh. AMAV remains forever in the minds of the audiences. The film was released in 2007 and became a high commercial success. One of the Selva Raghavan's interviews on AMAV, he said: I was amazed by the performances of Venkatesh and Trisha. I learned so many things while making this film. Venky contributed a lot to the script. No doubt there is a filmmaker in Venkatesh. Venkatesh was paired with Trisha for the first time. Venky played a man named Ganesh while Trisha was an aggressive career-minded girl. Sriram (Srikanth in Tamil) had a very important character. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sivaji and legendary director Vishwanath were also in the cast. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the film. Editing was handled by Kola Bhaskar while cinematography was handled by Balamurugan. The film was produced by NV Prasad and Shanam Naga Ashok Kumar in the banner of Sri Sai Deva Productions. The film was released on 272 screens including 15 in Karnataka, 8 in Orissa and 21 overseas. The movie had collected Rs 30 crore and completed a 50-day run in 200 centres and a 100-day run in 21 centres. AMAV won three Nandi Awards viz Venkatesh- Best Actor, Best Popular Feature Film received by NV Prasad and Shanam Naga Ashok Kumar and Best Dialogue Writer for Ramesh - Gopi. Trisha received "Best Actress" awards by the Filmfare Awards South, CineMAA awards. Further Venkatesh received "Best Actor" award by Santosham Film Awards. Following its success, this movie was remade in Tamil as 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' directed by Selva Raghavan's assistant Mithran Jawahar starring Dhanush and Nayanthara in the lead roles. Karthik Kumar, Raghuvaran, legendary director K Vishwanath, Karunas and Saranya Mohan play supporting roles. And 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' had slightly different climax than the original Telugu version.
