Sri Govindaraja Swamy Vari Temple Brahmotsavams Begins With Dwajarohanam






Tirupati, 28 May 20: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindarajaswamy temple kicked off on Thursday morning with the Dhwajarohanam in the auspicious Mithuna Lagnam 8am and 9:30am.

Archakas and Veda pundits installed the flag with the Garuda image on the temple pillar amidst chanting of Veda mantras and mangala vaidyams and later Srivari Asthanam was performed within the complex sans devotees in view of Coronavirus restrictions.

Apart from a variety of rituals TTD also organised, Snapana Tirumanjanam in the afternoon. In the evening, Pedda Sesha Vahanam was performed within the temple corridors.

Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swami, Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami, Special Grade Dyeo Smt Varalakshmi and temple staffs were present.

No More Sale Or Auction of TTD Assets - TTD Board Chief







Tirumala, 28 May 20: The TTD Board has decided that hereafter not to dispose of in any manner the immovable properties donated by the devotees to TTD, said Trust Board Chief Sri YV Subba Reddy.

After five-hour-long first ever video conference carried out by the TTD Trust Board from Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Thursday, disclosing this to media persons who came to meet him outside the Meeting Hall, the TTD Chairman said the board has also decided to set up a committee comprising of officials, intellectuals, heads of Hindu religious institutions and devotees soon to study on how to utilize such unviable and encroached properties so as to take appropriate action without hurting the sentiments of the devotees.

The TTD Chairman said, to put an end to the uproar created by a section of media and some vested interests on social media over the sale of unviable, immovable assets which impacted on the sentiments of the devotees, the AP government had issued a GO banning the sale of such assets. The current TTD board has therefore rescinded its decision on the immovable properties, though they were processed by the previous Board of TTD.

Similarly the board meeting also decided to write to state government to constitute an investigation committee either vigilance commission or any other body on the entire episode to bring out actual facts.

Elaborating on other important decisions, the Chairman said, 
TTD is fully geared to commence the Srivari Darshan as soon as they get the instructions from the Government once the lockdown ends.
"Today we have even inspected the VQC compartments, temple, laddu area etc. on how to take forward dashan arrangements to the pilgrims following the social distancing restrictions, once the lockdown ends and we get the green signal from the Government to open up darshan for pilgrims", he maintained. 

He said, TTD will henceforth follow a transparent policy on allotment of Rest Houses and abolish the previous procedure of allotment on nomination basis. "We have instructed the officials to come up with appropriate guidelines to implement the same", he added.

The board has also decided to conduct a comprehensive enquiry on the vested interests who made baseless allegations on the decisions of the TTD board, he said.

Under the instructions of Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who felt an urgent need to have a children's specialty hospital in Tirupati, the board has decided to develop a Children's Hospital on the lines of Niloufer Hospital at Hyderabad which is exclusively meant for child medicare", the Chairman said.

Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana informed the Cabinet Secretary that the State Government has been working on various guidelines issued from time to time and is making all the arrangements to control virus particularly in the containment zones in the State.

Sri Rajiv Gauba, Cabinet Secretary held a video conference with all the Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries on Public Health Response to Covid-19 today.

The Chief Secretary said that the situation is under control and the Government is well prepared  with required PPE kits, Masks, testing kits, beds, Ventilators, hospitals to deal  the cases.

Arvind Kumar,IAS., Principal Secretary to Govt. (MA&UD) held a Video Conference with the Additional Collectors


Principal Secretary Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar asked the  officials  to gear up to take up massive sanitation campaign in their municipalities and urban local bodies from the 1st to 8th of next month as part of the intensive sanitation drive.  Mr Kumar along with director Municipal Administration Mr Satyanarayana held a video conference with the additional collectors, municipal commissioners and officials of urban local bodies from the CDMA office today.
He said that as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, operational guidelines have already been issued to all the municipalities for taking up sanitation activities in the municipalities.  Special cleanliness drive has to be conducted in areas  wherever garbage is accumulated for months together.  All debris should be removed, drains desilted and road side bushes and shrubs should be cleared.  Similarly the areas have to be identified where the construction and demolition waste is accumulated for months and work out strategy to clean up the waste, he added. 
He asked the officials to identify low lying areas in localities, slums and roadsides  where water is accumulated or forms a cess pool and fill them up so that no stagnation takes place.  All the public toilets should be cleaned and made functional by the end of the sanitation drive.  Construction of public toilets should also be taken up.
He reiterated that The “Every Sunday 10 AM ten minutes” programme should be taken up for emptying of water tanks and other dumped containers as a precautionary measure  for containment of vector and water borne diseases.  As part of this initiative all ward members, resident welfare association members and other association members have to be involved for taking up cleaning exercise of their locality.  The people have to be motivated to adopt and own up the programme, he added.
 He directed the commissioners to take up anti larval measures in the municipalities to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes.  Proper chlorination of all water sources should be ensured.  Identification of vacant areas which are becoming dump yards should be identified and they should be cleaned, he said. 
 He urged the officials to completely involve the public representatives and resident welfare association members in the intensive sanitation drive to make it a peoples participatory movement.  He also advised them to strategise for taking up plantation in open spaces, schools, parks or road sides as part of the Haritha Haram programme

TTD Chairman, EO Condoles the Death of Former EO


Tirumala, 28 May 20: TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy and EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal condoled the death of Sri Umapathi, former Executive Officer of TTD and expressed their condolences to his bereaved family members.

Late Sri Umapathi served as Third Executive Officer of TTD from 31-08-65 to 12-02-69 and brought about several development activities in TTD during his tenure.
