967th Avatarotsavam of Anantalwal Observed
Tirumala, 14 Mar. 21: As a tribute on the 967th Avatarotsavam of Sri Vaishnava Acharya Sri Anantalwar, Purusaivari Thototsavam was been observed in Tirumala on Sunday.
In his spiritual address, the Tirumala Pedda Jiyangar HH Sri Periyakoil Kelviappan Shatagopa Ramanuja Periya Jiyar Swamy said Ananthalwar stood as the right example for a true ”Bhakta” (devotee) who dedicated his life in the service of Lord Venkateswara. He said he pioneered the Pushpa Kainkaryam in the temple of Lord Venkateswara and rendered his sincere services till his last breath in his 102 years of a pious life.
Sri Narayana Chinna Jiyar Swamy in his anugraha bhashanam said, Anantalwar took forward the legacy of Sri Ramanujacharya and stood as a role model to many Sri Vaishnavaites.
Later both Sri Pedda Jiyar and Sri Chinna Jiyar Swamijis released a book on
Anantalwar Divya Charitra in different languages penned by Sri P Venkatrami Reddy.
Meanwhile the Avatarotsavam was observed with great religious fervour under the aegis of the Alwar Divya Prabandha Project headed by HDPP Secretary Sri Rajagopalan in the Alwar tank gardens.
Later, the entire clan of Sri Ananthalwar hailing from across the country took part in the Shodasa Upanyasamala programme.
Sri Rama Graces on Divine Swan Carrier
Tirupati, 14 March 2021:Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy graced on the beautifully decked divine Hamsa Vahana on the second day evening of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Tirupati.
On Sunday night vahana seva, the processional deity eloquently seated on the swan carrier blessed His devotees.
Due to Covid guidelines, the annual fete is being observed in Ekantam.
Both the senior and junior Pontiffs of Tirumala. Spl. Gr. Dy E O Smt. Parvati, AEO Sri Durga Raju, Superintendent Sri Ramesh Kumar were also present.
