Kodandarama Chills on Chandra Prabha Vahana
Tirupati, 19 Mar. 21: On the seventh day of on-going annual brahmotsavam at Sri Kodandarama Swamy in Tirupati, Sri Rama graced on Chandra Prabha Vahana held in Ekantham in view of Covid guidelines.
Chandra or the moon stands for promoting medicinal values among living beings including plants. As per the scripts in the “Purushottam Praptiyagam” Chandra is described as Lord Vishnu who as an invisible architect, evolved solutions for all ills of the society.
In other words, Chandra Prabha Vahanam signifies the role of the school of herbal and ayurvedic medicine.
Tirumala Pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyarswami and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyarswamy, special grade DyEO Smt Parvati, AEO Sri Durgaraju, Superintendent Sri Ramesh, Temple inspectors Sri Muniratnam, Sri Jayakumar and temple Archakas were present.
TTD JEo Inspects Ghat Road Beautification
Tirupati, 19 Mar. 21: JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi inspected the beautification works under progress all along the second Ghat road on Friday.
She directed the forest wing officials to plant colourful plants all along the rocky structures to enhance the beauty of Ghat roads. She instructed the concerned to take up first ghat road (down ghat) works also on a fast pace.
DFO Sri Chandrasekhar was also present.
Ekadasi Kalyanotsavam in Upamaka in Ekantham
Tirupati, 19 Mar. 21: TTD is organising the Ekadasi Kalyana festival from March 23-31 at Sri Venkateswara temple of Upamaka village in Visakhapatnam district in Ekantham in view of Covid guidelines.
TTD will perform the Pelli Kavadi utsavam at 12.48pm and Ankurarpanam at 5.45 pm on March 23.
The Kalyanotsavam will begin after Dwajarohanam and Pallaki Seva for utsava idols of Sri Venkateshwara and His consorts in between 9.30am and 10.30 am.
The schedule of events include Kalyanotsavam in Ekantam on March 25, Vishesh pujas on 26, 27 and
Chakrasnanam on March 28.
Dwajavarohanam on March 29 evening and a Pavalinpu Seva is scheduled on March 30 and March 31 during nights.

Lord Sri Rama Shines on Surya Prabha Vahana
Tirupati, 19 Mar. 21: As part of the ongoing annual brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati, Sri Rama shined bright on Suryaprabha Vahanam on Friday morning.
In view of Covid guidelines, the entire annual fete is taking place in Ekantam.

CM KCR visited and inspected the progress of construction works of New Secretariat Building
CM KCR has said that the construction of the new Secretariat should bring in glory to the country and it should have a wonderful ornamental form with all its grandeur. The CM said that the new Secretariat should be constructed in such way that it should stand the test of time for decades to come. The CM examined the works going on at the new secretariat and their progress. The CM also examined the Red Sand stone, Beige sand stone, natural Beige sand stone, natural Gwalior stone models brought in from Rajasthan. He visited the southwest side by foot and examined the constructions works, quality of the pillars and beams. The CM made several suggestions to R&B Minister Sri VemulaPrashanth Reddy, representatives of the work agencies.
Later, the CM reviewed the secretariat building complex issue at
PragathiBhavan. “The Telangana state which we have achieved, is making rapid
strides in development and welfare activities and has become role model for
others in the country. Against this backdrop, we have to construct the state
secretariat to reflect our self-respect and it should also become a role model
for other states. The atmosphere in the secretariat should provide comfort both
for the employees and the visitors. Create wide inner roads, sprawling lawns
with flower plants. Construct Dholpur stone laden Fountains like those near the
Parliament and the RashtrapatiBhavan in New Delhi. The Telangana Secretariat
should have all the necessary beautification and comforts,” the CM said.

Sri Rama Rides on His Favourite Hanumanta
Tirupati, 18 Mar. 21: On the sixth day of ongoing annual brahmotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Tirupati, Sri Kodanda Rama took a celestial ride on His favourite carrier Hanumantha Vahanam on Thursday.
In view of Covid guidelines, the annual fete is being observed in Ekantam.
Both Senior and Junior Pontiffs of Tirumala temple, Spl. Gr.DyEO Smt Parvati
AEO Sri Durgaraju, Superintendent Sri Ramesh and other office staff were also present.
