Ugadi Asthanam on 13th April


Tirumala, 11 Apr. 21: Plavanama Samvatsara Ugadi Asthanam will be observed in Tirumala temple on April 13.

 

The traditional temple court will be observed between 7am and 9am at Bangaru Vakili inside the temple in the presence of Sri Malayappa, Sridevi, Bhudevi accompanied by Vishwaksenulavaru. 

 

TTD has cancelled all arjitha sevas (virtual) on that day following Asthanam.

Twelfth Phase Sundarakanda Akhanda Pathanam Held









Tirumala, 10 Apr. 21: TTD has successfully completed one year of Mahamantra parayanam at Nadaneerajana Mandapam in Tirumala on Saturday. 

 

It may be mentioned here that TTD has commenced the Parayana Yagnam on the same date during last year in Tirumala to overcome the ill effects of Corona Covid 19 virus which shattered the world and bestow the humanity with good health and prosperity by chanting divine mantras.

 

Stating the same Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala Principal Sri KSS Avadhani said shastras state that any programme when carried out for an year with a noble intention will definitely yield fruitful results.

 

TWELFTH PHASE SUNDARAKANDA AKHANDA PATHANAM

 

The 12th phase of Sundarakanda Akhanda Pathanam was also held on Sunday.  

 

To enrich the cultural, moral, social, religious and philosophical thoughts of the people particularly among the youth TTD mulled this program which one accolades globally.

 

So far TTD has successfully conducted 11 Akhanda Parayanams

 

On Sunday 155 Shlokas from Chapters 49 to 53 of Sundarakanda were recited and nearly 200 Vedic scholars from Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham, Vedic University, National Sanskrit Varsity, SV Higher Vedic Studies, Veda Parayanamdars participated in this mass recitation of Sundarakanda.

 

Vedic Scholars Sri Pavana Kumara Sharma and Sri Maruthi also accompanied Sri Avadhani during recitation. 

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, VC of National Sanskrit Varsity Prof.Muralidhara Sharma and others were also present.

 

Annamaiah Taught Bhakti Path to Devotees







Tirupati, 10 Apr. 21: Saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya led the common devotees in the path of devotion with his simple worded sankeetans, said Dr V Krishnaveni, Head of Telugu department at Sri Padmavati Degree and PG College.

She was addressing the second-day session of Sahitya Sabha organised by TTD at Annamacharya Kala Mandir as part of the 518th Vardhanti mahotsavam of Annamacharya.

Speaking on the theme of Annamaiah sankeertans and social developments, she said Annamaiah sankeertans were a window to Rayalaseema culture and personality development in the devotional path.

Other prominent speakers at the literary confluence were Dr S Ravindrababu of Chandragiri, Dr Gangishetty Lakshmi Narayana of Tirupati and Dr Sheikh Sha Vali of Chandragiri.

In the evening artists of the Annamacharya project, Dr P Ranganath and Smt K Vishalakshi presented melodious sankeertans and enthralled music lovers of temple city at Mahati 

The rhythm of Annamacharya sankeetans continued in the evening at Mahati with music concerts by project artist Smt R Bullemma and TTD Asthana singer Dr G Shobharaj.

The Annamacharya project Director Acharya S Dakshinamurthy Sharma, Superintendent Smt Nagamani, senior assistant Narasimhulu and music lovers participated.

Annamaiah Special Niche in Bhakti Sahitya








Tirupati,9 April 2021: Eminent scholar Dr Samudrala
Lakshmaiaih said on Friday that saint -poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya occupied a pedestal in Bhakti Sahitya as he laid the path for nava Bhakti modes.

He had participated in the Sahitya Sabha  held as part of the 518th Vardhanti Mahotsavam of Annamacharya held at Annamacharya Kala Mandir in Tirupati on Friday.

Eminent scholars Sri EG Hemant Kumar of Tirupati, Sri Sangeetam Keshavulu and Sri KSubramanyam  both from Chandragiri spoke on contributions of Annamacharya on the occasion.

TTD Eo Inspects Tirumala Parking Lots






Tirumala, 9 April 2021: TTD is mulling to develop multilevel parking space in Tirumala for 3000 more vehicles, in addition, to the present 4000 capacity to facilitate lakhs of devotees visiting the holy shrine every day.

 

TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy on Friday along with Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti inspected various areas in Tirumala to find out their feasibility for vehicle parking.

 

Speaking to media after inspection Additional EO told media persons, locations near Mullagunta, Seva Sadan and PAC- 5 are being considered for promoting parking lots including multi-level parking.

 

He said the present RTC garage will also be shifted to a vacant space near Balaji Nagar where the new RTC garage is under construction.

 

Earlier the EO and Additional EO visited some places near Mallagunta, Employees canteen backside, Seva Sadan, RB circle, Rambagicha bus stand, Balaji Nagar, PAC-3 and Outer Ring Road.

 

TTD CE Sri Ramesh Reddy, VGO Sri Bali Reddy, Health Officer Dr RR Reddy, AVSO Sri Gangaraju and other engineering officials were present.

Sri Sita Ramakalyanam at Vontimitta as per National Covid Protocol Only - TTD Eo

Vontimitta,09 April 2021:  In view of rising cases of Covid across the country, TTD along with YSR Kadapa district administration has decided to observe the famous Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta as per National Covid guidelines for benefit of health security of devotees, said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.


EO inspected the premises of Kalyana Vedika where the celestial marriage takes place at Vontimitta on April 26 along with district collector Sri Harikiran and SP Sri Anburajan. Later he had darshan of Sri Kodandarana Swamy.

Speaking to media on the occasion he said, the annual brahmotsavams at Vontimitta Kodanda Ramalayam will be conducted from April 21 to 29  as per Covid norms. The Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy will be taking part in the celestial Kalyanam for the first time on April 26. As the second wave of Covid is on rise, a restricted figure of 5000 devotees will alone be allowed to take part in the celestial marriage.

The EO also appealed to the local devotees to adhere to the Covid guidelines and co-operate with TTD and district management towards the successful conduct of the mega religious event. He said the SVBC will be telecasting the live event of celestial marriage which commences at 8pm onwards for the benefit of global devotees.

The procedure for issuance of passes will be discussed with the district management later, he added.

Local MLA Sri Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy, JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti and other officials from TTD and Kadapa were also present.






Strictly Adhere to Covid Guidelines - TTD EO






Vontimitta,09 April 2021: Both TTD and Kadapa district authorities should strictly adhere to the Covid guidelines and make the annual event a grand success, said TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy.


A review meeting was at the PAC waiting hall located adjacent to Vontimitta temple on Friday. Addressing the TTD and district authorities EO said, the Government of India has issued Covid guidelines specifically on the conduct of religious events.

As we are allowing only five thousand devotees we need to discuss on how to distribute passes. All the departments shall thoroughly go through these guidelines for making arrangements accordingly and make the event a hassle free one, he added.

He also directed the TTD and district medical wing to keep ready sufficient number of water and buttermilk packets and also first aid kits as summer heat waves are already soaring high.

He said a Single point contact officer from both TTD and district administration would help in ensuing problem free arrangements. He also asked SP Sri Anburajan to chalk out a plan to over come traffic concerns.

YSR Kadapa district collector Sri Harikiran briefed the arrangements under for the major religious event on behalf of district administration. He also saad the process of distribution of passes to be discussed as only 15 days are left for Kalyanam.

Earlier JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi briefed  about the arrangements for the grand event from the side of TTD.
