Magnificent Pournami Garuda Seva








Tirumala, 27 Apr. 21:  In consonance with the practice of conducting Garuda Vahana Seva, TTD organised the grand Garuda Vahana Seva on Mada streets on, Tuesday night.

 

According to puranic legends, Garuda vahanotsavam is considered divine in 108 countries across the world. Acharya’s hailed Garuda as a Vedic personality and his wings regarded as symbolic of Vedic glory.

 

It is popularly held that the blessings of Sri Malayappa on Garuda Vahana is a divine antidote against all sins.

Sita Lakshmana Sameta Kodandarama Rides Tiruchi






Vontimitta, 27 Apr. 21: On the 7th day of Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavam, Sri Sita Lakshmana sameta Sri Kodandarama Swamy took a Tiruchi ride on Tuesday morning.

 

In view of Covid guidelines, TTD organised a Tiruchi ride in ekantham instead of the traditional practice of Rathotsavam.

 

Temple AEO Sri Muralidhar, Superintendent Sri Venkateshaiah, Inspectors Sri Dhananjayulu, Sri Giribabu, archakas and other staff were present.

Release of 'Acharya' stands postponed : Producers


'Acharya', the most-awaited mega movie, starring megastar chiranjeevi and mega power star Ramcharan will not be hitting the screens on May 13. The film's postponement is in view of the pandemic becoming fierce. 


The producers added that the new release date will be finalized once the situation becomes normal.

Pattu Vastrams and Pearls Presented to Kodandarama






Vontimitta, 26 Apr. 21: The AP endowment minister Sri Velampalli Srinivasa Rao on Monday presented pattu vastrams and pearls to Sri Kodandaramaswami temple on behalf of the AP Government.

 

It is an age-old practice to present vastrams and pearls officially on the occasion of the Sri Sitarama Kalyanam fete in the Vontimetta temple

Srivari Annual Vasanthotsavam Ends
















Tirumala, 26 Apr. 21: The three-day annual festival of Vasantothsavam concluded at Srivari temple on Monday.

 

On the final day Sri Malayappa Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, Sri Rama with Sita Devi, Lakshmana Swamy and Anjaneya Swamy and Sri Krishna Swamy with Rukmini Devi were rendered celestial bath inKalyanotsava Mandapam.


It was a visual feast to the devotees who are present globally to witness the snapana tirumanjanam to all the nine utsavarulu at a time through the live streaming of the religious event on SVBC

 

This religious event took place between 2pm and 4pm. In view of the COVID 19 lockdown restrictions, TTD performed the event in Kalyanotsava Mandapam this year instead of Vasanthotsava Mandapam.

 

Thereafter in the evening Asthanam was held and at night the utsava idols of Sri Malayappa and his consorts were paraded on the Mada streets.

 

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy couple, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Srivari temple DyEO Sri Harindranath, other officials were present.

 

Nagalapuram Brahmotsavams Begins with Dwajarohanam



Tirupati, 26 Apr. 21: The annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Vedavalli sameta Vedanarayana temple, Nagulapiram commenced on Monday with Dwajarohanam held in ekantham due to Covid guidelines.

 

Earlier the Utsava idols were paraded in a Tiruchi and later the Dwajarohanam was conducted in the Mithuna lagna, between 9.30-11.30 am.

 

As part of festivities, Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva will be conducted in the night at 8.00 pm.

 

As part of the nine-day festival, the TTD is organising vahana sevas in ekantham at morning and night.
