Apollo Hospitals to Administer Sputinik V Vaccines in Collaboration with Dr Reddy's In Pilot Program





 

Hyderabad, May 17, 2021: Apollo Hospitals (Apollo), Asia's foremost integrated healthcare services provider and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (Dr. Reddy’s), a leading Indian multinational pharmaceutical company today announced the launch of a limited pilot program for the Sputnik V vaccine as part of the soft launch by Dr. Reddy’s in India. The first phase of the program will kick-off with vaccinations in Hyderabad on Monday (May 17, 2021) and in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday (May 18, 2021) at separate facilities at the Apollo Hospitals in those cities. The vaccinations would follow the SOPs as recommended by the Government including registration on CoWIN.  

 

Dr. K. Hari Prasad, President – Hospitals Division, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited said, “With the opening up of the vaccination program for the private sector, we have intensified our efforts to accelerate the rate of vaccination through opening vaccination centers across our hospital network and are also in discussions with corporates to undertake vaccination on their premises. We are currently administering COVID vaccine at 60 locations across the country including Apollo Hospitals, Apollo Spectra hospitals and Apollo Clinics. This pilot phase will allow Dr. Reddy’s and Apollo to test the arrangements and cold chain logistics and prepare for the launch. We are confident that with the Sputnik V vaccine, we will be able to make a significant contribution to ease availability and access to COVID vaccines to the community at large.”

The Sputnik V vaccines for the pilot program would be supplied by Dr. Reddy’s from the first batch of 1,50,000 vaccine doses imported by them for the soft launch. After Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, the pilot program will be extended to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Pune.

Shankara Jayanthi Observed in Sri Venkateswara Vedic Varsity





Tirupati, 17 May 2021: On the auspicious occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Jagadguru Sri Shankaracharya, special puja was performed in Yagashala of Sri Venkateswara Vedic Varsity premises in Tirupati on Monday.

 

The fete commenced with the introductory remarks by Vedic exponent Sri Prava Ramakrishna who said Sri Shankaracharya dedicated his entire life in the promotion and preservation of Hindu Sanatana Dharma and preached Advaitha philosophy to the world of Bhakti. 

 

Later the ritual started with Sankalpam, Ganapati Puja by Vedic scholars Sri GV Subramanya Sharma and Dr GV Phaniraja Shastry under the supervision of SV VU Vice-Chancellor Sri Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma.

 

Sri Shankaracharya Puja performed which included Astottara Shatanamavali, Padukabhishekam etc. amidst chanting of Chaturveda Parayanam by Veda pundits.

Tirupati, 15 May 2021: TTD is organising the annual Brahmotsavam of Its sub temple of Sri Narapura Venkateswara temple, Jammalamadugu in YSR Kadapa district from May23-31 in Ekantha in view of Covid guidelines. 

 

Similarly the auspicious fete of annual will be performed on the evening of May 22.

 

TTD will conduct the Dwajarohanam event on May 23 evening in the lagnam between 9.30-10.30 am. Besides daily vahanas, TTD is also poised to conduct daily Snapana thirumanjanam for the Utsava idols and also Pushpa yagam on June 1 night.

 

Sita Maata Visesha Homa At Tirumala




Tirumala, 15 May 2021: As part of its spiritual agenda against pandemic Covid TTD organised Vishesha Homa of Sri Sita which was performed by16 vaikhana pundits at the Dharmagiri Veda vijnan peetham on Saturday morning 

 

The principal of Dharmagiri Veda vijnan peetham Sri KSS Avadhani will be supervising the Sri Rama Mula Mantrusthanq - Tarpana and Homas till May 18.

 

Earlier the pundits observed the Mula Mantrusthanam of Sri Sitadevi, Sri Rama, Sri Lakshmana, and Sri Anjaneya and thereafter Vaikhanasa pundits performed Vishesh homas for Sri Rama, Sri Sita, Sri Lakshmana and Sri Anjaneya. Thereafter the sacred Sri Rama Mula mantram Sri Rama Japam and Sri Rama Gayatri mantram were chanted.

 

Speaking on the occasion the TTD Vaikhanasa Agama adviser Sri Nalari Venkata Mohanacharyulu said Vishesha homas aimed at relief to humanity from pandemic Corona were part of the Shodasha Dina Sundara Kanda Diksha launched b TTD.

 

He said such Visesha Homas will be held for Sri Lakshmana on May 16 Sri Anjaneya on May 17 and the Homas phase will conclude with Purnahuti on May 18.

 

The entire program is being live telecast between 2.00-2.30 pm daily for benefit of devotees across the world and that they should chant the Mula mantras eight times to beget the fruits of Homas.

Lakshmi Narayana Puja On Akshya Thritiya Day





Tirupati, 14 May 2021: As part of TTD’s spiritual endeavour against pandemic Covid in the month of Vaishaka, TTD grandly organised the Lakshmi Narayana puja on the Akshaya Tritiya fete, at the Yagashala of SV Veda university on Friday noon.

 

The celebrations were telecast live from 11.00-12.00 noon by the SVBC for benefit of Srivari devotees across the world.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-chancellor of SV Vedic University Acharya Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma said the performance of the Lakshmi Narayana puja would beget devotees blessings of Sri Venkateshwara.

TTD To Arrange 22 German Sheds for Covid Victims in Andhra Pradesh




Tirupati, 13 May 2021: TTD plans to build 22 sheds with German technology in Andhra Pradesh at a cost of Rs.3.52 crore for providing beds to Covid victims after successful experiment in the pilgrim city at Sri Padmavati Covid hospital,

 

Following requests for similar oxygen bed facilities on the Tirupati model the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has on Thursday sanctioned the said amount from the SV Sarva Shreya Nidhi to build such Tents with German technology in different places in AP.   Each shed will have 30 beds facility.

 

As per schedule: 4 at Visakhapatnam, 3 each in Anantapur, Guntur, Kakinada and Krishna, 2 each in Prakasam, Kurnool and 2 other locations such sheds will be built. District collectors will be provided funds as per the cost estimates made by TTD for each shed.
