Governor calls upon doctors to constantly upgrade knowledge and expertise in their chosen specialisations





Hyderabad, May 22: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday exhorted the doctors and other healthcare professionals to constantly upgrade their knowledge and expertise in their chosen specialities.

“Doctors are in life saving profession. It is vital for them to keep abreast of the latest developments in their fields and learn about the best practices to offer better services to the patients,” she said.

The Governor was virtually launching the Continuing Medical Education programme titled “API initiated therapy specific recommendations for tele-consultation in diabetes and cardiology,” organised by the Association of Physicians of India, from Raj Bhavan, here.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that the Covid-19 has altered the way we work, learn, and live and we must rise to the challenge by using technology to help the needy.

 “The pandemic must not deter us from learning the best practices in medicine from all over the world. And I appreciate the digital outreach to the participants offered by the Association of Physicians of India to facilitate the continuing medical education,” she added.

Referring to the sacrifices being made by the healthcare workers as frontline warriors in our fight against the pandemic, the Governor termed their services as brave, committed, dedicated and selfless.

The Governor also paid rich tributes to those doctors and other healthcare workers, who laid down their lives fighting against the invisible enemy, the virus.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that diabetes and cardio vascular diseases are affecting millions of people and it was high time that we create greater awareness among people for their prevention and management.

Association of Physicians of India national president Dr. Kamlesh Tewary, immediate past president Dr. S. Arul Rhaj, Vivek Kamath, Dr. Nihar Mehta and others were among those who spoke at the inaugural.

Vasanthotsavams of Srinivasa Managapuram from 29th to 31st May


Tirupati, 22 May 2021: TTD is organising the grand annual Vasantothsavam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple Srinivasa Mangapuram from May 29-31 in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines.

 

In this connection, TTD will conduct every day Snapana Tirumanjanam and Asthanam for utsava idols of Srivaru and His consorts.

 

On the last day Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya Swamy Sameta Sri Rama, Rukmini Satyabhama Sameta Sri Krishna Swamy will also join the Utsavam.

 

Teppotsaavams at Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Vari Temple in Devuni Kadapa


Tirupati, 22 May 2021: TTD is organising annual Teppotsavams of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple in Devuni Kadapa of YSR Kadapa district from May 24-26 in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines.

 

As a part of the festivities, daily Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held to utsava idols of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara and His consorts in the evening.

 

Village Level Covid Action Plan - TTD Eo





Tirupati, 22 May 2021: TTD EO and Chairman of Covid command control Centre, Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed Chittoor District Collector Sri Hari Narayan to launch a village-level action plan to effectively contain spike of Covid-19 cases in the rural areas of Chittoor district.

 

Reviewing the Covid situation with district health officials at the Sri Padmavati Rest House on Saturday the TTD EO asked officials to enforce house quarantine and community isolation of Covid positive patients in the village level to contain its spread to other regions.

 

He said village officials should undertake Dandoras (announcements) in the mornings and evenings in villages and spread awareness of Covid among villagers with handbills, wall posters and loudspeakers.

 

The sarpanches should strive to transform their villages as Covid-free villages and Collectors should encourage them with cash awards. The village secretariats, Asha workers and NGOs should be involved in the Rapid response teams to contain Covid effectively. Special drive on awareness of masks and social distancing be taken up with volunteers at village level.

 

He said to stop the spread of black fungus in the hospitals all medical equipment etc. should be sterilised after the discharge of Covid patients. 

 

The Covid Command Centre Chairman also advised officials to always keep 20 tons oxygen tanks at the SVIMS hospital full and also ensure complete oxygen availability at the Ayurvedic hospital as well.

 

He also advised officials to keep vigilance on hotels, tea stalls etc. at crowded locations in Tirupati and ensure that these joints serve only parcels.

 

The district program officer of the National Health Mission Dr Srinivasulu, District Surveillance Officer Dr Sudarshan and others were present.

 

Complete Vaccination of TTD Employees on Fast Track - TTD Eo


Tirupati, 22 May 2021: TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has instructed officials on Saturday to complete first and second dose vaccination for all TTD employees on fast track.

 

At a virtual meeting with senior officials on Saturday morning, the TTD EO enquired about the status of beds, oxygen and treatment of Covid patients at SVIMS and Ayurveda hospital with Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

 

TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi informed the TTD EO on the status of the vaccination status of TTD employees and its schedule. 

 

TTD EO instructed officials to take up vaccination of all sanitation workers at Sri Padmavati Nilyam in Tiruchanoor, Vishnu Nivasam, Srinivasam Rest Houses in Tirupati besides 2nd and 3rd choultries behind the railway station.

 

He also asked for a report on black fungus cases at the SVIMs hospital, if any.

 

He directed the engineering officials to speed up works of the Children’s hospital at the BIRRD complex and also the slab works on the walker’s footpath in the Alipiri route.

 

Among others he reviewed staff appointments in Tirumala Sub Enquiry offices, cottage modernisation works at Tirumala, online training for employees of various TTD departments, Tulabharam at Alipiri footpath, compassionate appointments in various TTD departments like HDPP, Sapthagiri magazine Tarigonda Vengamamba project etc.

 

TTD EO also reviewed on Sacred gardens at Tirumala, nursery at Seventh-mile junction, fencing works by June, central procurement of medicine and equipments from next financial year, online training classes of employees at SVETA etc.

Govindaraja Shines on Garuda Vahanam







Tirupati, 22 May 2021: On Saturday evening, during the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple, the deity decked in all His divine splendour blessed devotees on Garuda vahanam held in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines.

 

Garuda vahana seva is most significant among all vahana sevas and devotees believe that Darshan of Garuda Vahana Seva of Swamy will ward off all sins and bring good dividends.

 

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Special Grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu and others were also present.

Padmavathi Parinayotsavams Concludes









The annual three-day Padmavathi Parinayotsavams concluded on Saturday in a grand manner at Tirumala.

 

In view of the Covid pandemic, the Padmavathi Parinayotsavams are being observed in Ekantam in Kalyanotsava Mandapam in Tirumala temple.

 

On the last day, Sri Malayappa Swamy on Garuda Vahanam flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi on separate Tiruchis were brought to the Mandapam where the celestial fete was observed with religious fervour.

 

After the rituals of traditional Hindu marriage, the Veda pundits chanted Chaturveda Mantras followed by a rendition of different raagas including Kalyani, Ananda Bhairavi etc. Through Nadaswaram and later Melam followed.

 

The event concluded with the melodious rendition of Annamaiah Kristis by Senior artist Smt Bullemma of the Annamacharya Project.
