Floral Tributes Paid at Tarigonda Brindavanam





Tirumala, 25 May 2021:  On the occasion of the 291st Jayanti of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba, TTD officials paid floral tributes at Vengamamba Brindavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.

 

The festivities of Jayanti utsava were held in Ekantam at Brindavan and after in the evening at Ranganayakula mantapam inside Srivari temple instead of Narayanagiri Gardens in view of Covid guidelines.

 

Sri Vengamamba, an ardent devotee of Narasimha Swamy and Venkateswara Swamy was born in 1730 at Tarigonda in Chittoor district and at attained Sajeeva Samadhi in 1817. She pioneered Anna Prasadam in Tirumala.

 

The practice of sankeetans of Annamacharya and Vengamamba are still continued in Srivari temple even today.

 

Jayantotsavams Observed






The Jayantotsavams of the ardent devotees of Srivaru, Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba and Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya began at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram in Tirupati in Ekantam as per Covid guidelines.

 

SRI THALLAPAKA ANNAMACHARYA:

 

The 613th Jayanti of saint poet Sri Thallapaka Annamacharya was observed besides garlanding the Annamaiah statue at the RC road in Tirupati on Tuesday.

 

Annamacharya had penned 32,000 sankeetans in praise of Sri Venkateswara lived between1408 and 1503 and was popular for his literary works and became popular as Padakavita Pitamaha.

 

MATRUSRI TARIGONDA VENGAMAMBA

 

The statue of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba at the MR Palli circle was garlanded as part of the 291st Jayanti of the great saint poetess.

 

Vengamamba, an ardent devotee of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Sri Venkateswara Swamy was born in 1703 and went into Sajeeva Samadhi in 1817.

 

She is credited for launching Anna Prasada Vitarana at Tirumala and hence her name prefixed with sacred title Matrusri.

Lord Govindaraja Consorts Ride Bhogi Theru






On the eighth day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Govindarajaswami, the deities took celestial ride on Bhogi Theru instead of Rathotsavam in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines.

 

Earlier Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for the utsava idols of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and His consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi in the morning.

        

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyarswamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyarswamy, Special grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu and other staffs were present.

Govindaraja Blesses from Aswa Vahanam





Tirupati, 25 May 2021: Processional deity of Sri Govindaraja Swamy took a celestial ride on Aswa Vahana on Tuesday, the penultimate day of annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple held in Ekantam following Covid-19 guidelines.

 

The Aswa Vahana indicated the absolute dominance of Sri Govindaraja on all five elements and is also highlighted as Kalki incarnation for protection good by punishing the evil.

 

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyarswami and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyarswami, Special Grade DyEO Sri Rajendrudu, AEO Sri Ravi Kumar Reddy, archakas and staff were present.

JNTU Vice-Chancellor calls on Governor

Hyderabad, May 25: Prof. Katta Narasimha Reddy, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of JNTU, Hyderabad, has called on Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan, here, on Tuesday.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, who is also the Chancellor of the State universities, instructed the Vice-Chancellor to focus on promoting innovation and research in the university in the true spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“We must gear up research, development, and innovation in our universities in order to meet the global challenges and ensure self-reliance of our country in science and technology,” she added.

The Governor also directed the Vice-Chancellor to improve the alumni network and rope in their services leveraging the Chancellor Connects Alumni initiative launched by the Raj Bhavan for the all-round development of the university.

On the occasion, the Prof. Narasimha Reddy presented a book on Nano Technology penned by him and another book brought out on the occasion of his retirement as the vice-chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University in his earlier stint.

The makers of highly anticipated film Maha Samudram, on the occasion, came up with a wonderful birthday presentation by releasing his first look poster in the film. His character is introduced as Guni Babji. He will appear with hunchback in the film, so he is called Guni Babji. It’s certain that, Rao Ramesh does full justice to the challenging role.


Director Ajay Bhupathi has been taking extreme care regarding all the aspects related to the film and he has taken special care in terms of looks of all the actors. So far, they have released first look of Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anu Emmanuel and Jagapathi Babu. Needless to say that, all the first look posters were spectacular.

Governor lauds NRIs role in Covid-19 relief measures

Hyderabad, May 25: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday lauded the efforts of the Indian Diaspora for their role in extending relief material to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Respecting their roots and with great love for the motherland, many organisations and individuals supporting Indians all over the world are extending great help to the needy back home,” she said.

The Governor was handing over 300 oxygen concentrators, donated by the IT Serve Alliance, Dallas, Texas, the USA, to their representatives in Hyderabad at Raj Bhavan, here.

The oxygen concentrators will be distributed to the needy IT Serve Alliance staff and their family members working here.

On the occasion, the Governor virtually interacted with the IT Serve Alliance National President Raghu Chittimalla and the organisation’s Dallas Chapter President, Viswa Kandi.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that their timely response to provide a total of 500 oxygen concentrators and 20 ventilator beds to the people in India was truly appreciable and inspiring to many others.

She said that it was time that we all rise to the occasion to help the suffering mankind and help it overcome the pandemic through our collective efforts.
