Vasantothsavams Concludes







The annual Vasantothsavams in Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor concluded on a grand religious note on Thursday.

 

As a part of the festivities, Snapana Tirumanjanam was held to the processional deity Padmavathi Devi in Aseervachana Mandapam between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. Due to Covid guidelines, the annual fete was held in Ekantam.

 

TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, Deputy EO Smt Kasturi Bai and others were also present.

 

Plans to Extend Garuda Varadhi Flyover upto Alipiri - TTD Chairman






The plans are afoot to extend the prestigious project of Garuda Varadhi flyover upto Alipiri for facilitating the devotees visiting Tirumala, said TTD chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Thursday.

 

Speaking to media after his inspection of the flyover works underway on war footing near the Tirupati Municipal Park, he said besides avoiding traffic issues in Tirupati town, the four-lane flyover, if extended up to Alipiri toll gate would facilitate smooth passage to both vehicular and walking devotees.

 

He said the additional cost of extension of the flyover and other related issues will be taken at the next meeting of the TTD board soon.

 

TTD Chief Engineer Sri M Ramesh Reddy was also present.

Tirumala is Undoubtedly The Birth Place of Ananeya Affirms Pundit Parishad Chairman






Many Puranas, Epical evidences clearly indicate that the holy shrine of Tirumala is the birth place of Anjaneya, asserted Professor Muralidhar Sharma, Chairman of the Pundit Committee constituted by TTD and Vice-Chancellor of National Sanskrit University.

 

Addressing a media conference at the University on Thursday evening, the VC refuted the claims made by Sri Govindananda Saraswati Swami, Founder of Sri Hanumad Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, Hampi who stated that Sri Anjaneya was born at Anjanahalli on the banks of river Pampa near Hampi in Karnataka, Sri Muralidhara Sharma said the Swamiji could not able to prove his point with any sort of evidences.

 

He said the Govindananda Saraswati was invited to the university on Thursday morning where for three hours discussions were held on the issue with the scholar Sri Kuppa Vishwanatha Sharma as moderator.

 

He said the arguments propounded by Sri Govindananda Swami were challenged with material evidences at the debate and he was also sought to accept that the evidences existing in Puranas were basic tenets of Hindu culture.

 

It was also appealed to the Swami to not belittle the TTDs endeavour as was done by him through his writings via mails.

 

After the literary and spirited debate the moderator Sri Kuppa Vishwanatha Sharma declared that the findings of TTD Pundita Parishad were concrete and that the arguments of the Hampi Swami held no substance as they lack proper evidences.

 

Members of the committee Acharya Ramakrishna, Acharya Shankara Narayana, Acharya Rani Sadashiva Murthy, Convenor Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma were also present.

Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt. held a Tele-Conference with District Collectors



As per the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Shri Somesh Kumar conducted a teleconference with District Collectors today to review the arrangements for paddy procurement, vaccination of super-spreader categories and supply/availability of seeds and fertilizers.

In view of the expected early arrival of monsoon, District Collectors were directed to expeditiously complete the paddy procurement exercise within next 6 days.  Chief Secretary directed the Collectors to meet the shortage of labour and gunny bags by procuring from the local market. He advised them to ensure sufficient availability of vehicles for transport of paddy and keep a check on unwarranted cuts being imposed by the millers. He also directed the Secretary Civil Supplies to ensure smooth and seamless conduct of procurement operations.

The Collectors were further instructed to conduct a detailed review with their District Agriculture Officers and ensure sufficient availability of seeds/fertilizers at the point of sale.

With regard to the vaccination drive proposed for super spreader categories, the Collectors were informed to strictly follow the line list and limit vaccination to the categories decided by the Government. Further, they were also directed to carefully ensure administration of only Covishield vaccine to these categories.

The teleconference was attended by Sri SAM Rizvi, Secretary Health, Sri M Raghunandnan Rao, Secretary Agriculture and Sri V Anil Kumar Commissioner Civil Supplies.

 

 

Sri Somesh Kumar,IAS., Chief Secretary to Govt. visited ENT Hospital, Koti










Sri Somesh Kumar, IAS., Chief Secretary, Govt. of Telangana today visited ENT Hospital along with Sri S.A.M. Rizvi, Secretary, Health, Dr.Ramesh Reddy, Director, Medical Education and interacted with the patients and reviewed with the doctors on surgeries and treatment being given to the Black Fungus patients.

As per the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K.Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Secretary paid a visit to the hospital and went around to each ward and enquired about the treatment and well being of the patients. He assured that Government is taking all necessary measures to extend best treatment to the patients and urged patients not to panic.

The Chief Secretary said that ENT Hospital Koti, Hyderabad is identified as the Nodal Hospital for Black Fungus treatment with 250 beds with sufficient facilities, medicines and injections. Every day, this hospital is carrying out 20 surgeries and efforts are being made to increase surgeries. Apart from this the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital is also being made ready to start treatment. He also informed that present situation is under control and stabilized.

Sri S.A.M. Rizvi,IAS., Secretary, Health, Dr.Ramesh Reddy, Director, Medical Education, Sri Gangadhar, OSD to CM, Sri Chandrashekar Reddy,MD, TSMSIDC, Dr.T.Shanker, Superintendent, ENT Koti Hospital and other officials accompanied the Chief Secretary.

Two years after ABCD, Allu Sirish is back with the announcement of his next movie. The pre-look poster, which was released on Thursday, has already got people excited. Fans started trending #Sirish6 in no time.


The pre-look features an intense scene between the couple and has the names of the actors on the top, which is a breath of fresh air when it comes to Tollywood posters. The movie stars Anu Emannuel opposite Allu Sirish and has been directed by Rakesh Sasi of Vijetha fame. The movie is being produced by GA2 Pictures and is being presented by Allu Aravind.

Allu Sirish presently was seen in a Hindi single 'Vilayati Sharaab' that went viral in no time, crossed 100 million views and remains to be on everyone's playlist. Apart from ABCD, his film Okka Kshanam was also dubbed in Hindi as Shoorveer. His previous work in Telugu and Malayalam films made his fans anticipate his next film and by the looks of it, this one will be a rage.
