Vata Savitri Vratam Held in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University

 

Tirupati, 24 Jun. 21: Seeking peace and prosperity across the world, TTD organised Vata Savitri Vratam in Sri



Venkateswara Vedic University on Thursday.

 

This ritual held in the Yagashala of the University between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. that was live telecasted by the SVBC channel for the sake of world devotees.

 

Acharya Phaniraja Shastri has narrated the importance of the Vratam. He said the Vratam is observed by married women for the well-being and long life of their husbands.

 

As per Vata Savitri Vratam legend, the pious Savitri tricked Yama-the deity of Death and compelled Him to return the life of her husband Satyawantha.

 

Later the ritual started with Sankalpam, Ganapathi Puja, Prarthana followed by Vata Savitri Varatam.

 

Annamacharya Project senior artist Smt Bullemma presented keertans on Ammavaru on the occasion.

 

VC Sri Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma and other faculty members were also present.

 

Malayappa Reappears in Golden Armour













The annual Jyestabhishekam otherwise known as Abhidyeyaka Abishekam was concluded on a grand religious note in Tirumala temple on Thursday.

 

Archaka swamis rendered Snapanam to the deities amidst chanting of Vedic hymns and conducted Homam afterwards.

 

Later Puja was conducted to Swarna Kavacham before they were decorated to the deities.

 

After Sahasra Deepalankara Seva the deities were taken on a celestial procession along four Mada streets to bless devotees.

 

Pedda Jeeyar and Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala, Specified Authority Chairman and TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Specified Authority Convenor and TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, temple DyEO Sri Harindranath and others were also present.

Promote women leadership in all sectors: Governor

Hyderabad, June 24: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Thursday called for the proactive promotion of women leadership in all sectors.

“Women leadership must be encouraged at all levels so as to achieve gender equality and for ensuring diversity and inclusion,” she said.

The Governor was virtually launching the Women Leaders’ Forum, promoted by the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA).

Expressing concern over the low level of representation of women in senior management positions, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan emphasized on the women representation at all  levels and especially at decision-making levels. 

The Governor suggested that senior women leaders in industry and business sectors must mentor the young women entrants so as to help them build a meaningful career and scale new heights in their chosen fields.

“The women entrepreneurs constitute less than 20 percent of the total entrepreneurs in our country. Women have immense potential to contribute to our GDP. We must make more number of women part of economic and other productive activities and help them reallise their full potential,” she added.

The Governor pointed out that though many male-dominated bastions were broken and we have a long way to go before we break all the glass ceilings so as to achieve a true gender equal society.

HYSEA president A. Bharani Kumar, Women Leaders Forum representatives Mamatha Madireddy, Narsimha Rao, Manisha Saboo, R. Srinivasa Rao were among those who spoke on the occasion.

TS CS visited Vaccination Centre at Monda Market, Sec-bad

 

Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS said that around 96 lakhs vaccinations have been given so far in the state and  In a couple of days it is set to cross one crore vaccinations mark.  In order to optimally utilise the supplies provided by the government of India, the state government has taken up vaccination of high exposure groups on a priority basis as per the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao, under super spreaders vaccination 25 lakhs persons have been vaccinated.

Chief Secretary visited Monda Market and inspected the “Work Place” vaccination centre.  He interacted with the street vendors and motivated them to get vaccinated.  The vendors appreciated the move of the government to arrange vaccination at their work place.

Chief Secretary stated that vaccination is being done  across all the 100 centres and 30 mobile units within GHMC.  A mop up drive is being done in GHMC limits and all those who missed the vaccination during the special vaccination drive are being vaccinated now. He congratulated the staff of the Health Department for their service.

Secretary Health and Family Welfare Rizvi, Hyderabad Collector Sweta Mohanty, and other officials were present.

Ashok Galla, Sriram Adittya’s Hero Title Teaser Gets Overwhelming Response



Krishna's grandson, Mahesh Babu’s nephew and Guntur MP Jayadev Galla’s son Ashok Galla’s debut film Hero is being directed by Sriram Adittya and produced by Padmavathi Galla under Amara Raja Media & Entertainment.


Mahesh Babu unveiled title teaser of the film yesterday and the nearly one-minute video gets overwhelming response from all the corners. The teaser is trending top on YouTube with over 4 million views already. It’s a great attainment for a debut hero’s film.

Ashok Galla impressed big time with his different get-ups, mannerisms, and action, while director Sriram Adittya is acclaimed for his classy making. The teaser hinted Hero is going to be a different entertainer with a unique concept.

Technically, the teaser looked grand with lavish production values, vibrant visuals, terrific background score, brilliant art work etc. In fact, the great work of all the 24 craftsman is witnessed in the teaser.

Ghibran composes music for the film, while Richard Prasad cranks the camera. Chandra Sekhar Ravipati is the Executive Producer.

Jagapathi Babu plays a vital role and Naresh, Satya, Archana Soundarya will be seen in supporting roles.

The film’s shooting is nearing completion and is gearing up for theatrical release.
