Taapsee Pannu Joins Mission Impossible


Matinee Entertainment, one of the popular production houses in Tollywood, is not constrained to make only high budget films with star heroes, as they are also churning out content-based films on small to medium range budgets. The production No 8 of the banner is with talented director Swaroop RSJ of Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya fame helming it.

Titled Mission Impossible, it is a very distinctive subject. Some time back the film’s theme poster got tremendous response and the makers have come up with an interesting update.

Actress Taapsee Pannu who is busy with various exciting Bollywood projects and was last seen on Telugu screen in the super hit Anando Brahma in 2017 is making her comeback to Tollywood with Mishan Impossible where she plays the lead role. The actress was on a lookout for a perfect script for her comeback in Telugu and she finally finds one in Mission Impossible.

Taapsee has joined the team today. Welcoming the actress on to the sets, the team has released a working still where Taapsee can be seen with a broken hand. She looks anxious, as she watches something on laptop.

Awareness and better medical care are vital to reduce Maternal Mortality Rate: Governor





Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday said that awareness about the safe motherhood and access to better medical care are vital in reducing the maternal mortality rate.

She said that awareness about taking balanced and nutritious food, accessing medical help, vaccinations and promoting institutional deliveries are significant factors so as to bring down the maternal mortality rate.

The Governor, through a virtual mode from the Raj Bhavan, here, was addressing on the importance of maternal health and child care as part of the “Safe Motherhood Week and Child Care celebrations” organized by the IMA Tamil Nadu.

Expressing anguish over the spurt in maternal mortality during the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that no pregnant woman should be denied of hospital admission or medical help under the pretext of COVID-19.

“Many such incidents of denying of hospital admission to pregnant women resulting in their death are really inhuman. Hospitals must give top priority to extend necessary medical help to all the pregnant women on a priority basis,” she added.

The Governor has also called for concerted efforts by all the stakeholders in reducing the maternal mortality rate to 90 per One Lakh live births as per the Sustainable Developmental Goals in our country.

“Though our country made a significant progress in reducing the MMR, still we are witnessing large number of maternal deaths when compared to developed countries. We must give the best possible medical care to the women,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan emphasized on the need for the care for women even before the conception, during the pregnancy, during the delivery and after the child birth.

“Nutrition, medical care like regular check up, follow-up, institutional deliveries will considerably reduce the preventable the maternal mortality,” she added.

The Governor cited the initiatives like KCR Kit in Telangana and Sanjeevani in Gujarat that resulted in more number of institutional deliveries resulting in reduced MMR.

Later, responding to a query during the interactive session with the medical students, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan found fault with the inhuman practice of stigmatizing of women for infertility.

“There are many factors that result in infertility. We should not stigmatize anybody for the same,” she added.

Governor appreciates Vijaya Dairy Telangana









Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday appreciated the diversified efforts of the Vijaya Dairy Telangana in promoting the dairy products across the State.

Lauding the success of the Vijaya Dairy Telangana products, the Governor attributed the success to the concerted efforts of the dairy farmers, Vijaya Dairy Telangana functionaries and the staff, and other stakeholders.

She called for the establishment of dairy units in tribal areas so as to improve their livelihoods and promote dairy products.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan asked the Vijaya Dairy authorities to establish one Vijaya Dairy Telangana outlet, to be run by Raj Bhavan Parivar women, at the Raj Bhavan Staff Quarters, here.

The Governor was interacting with Vijaya Dairy Telangana functionaries after taking a look at various products displayed at the Vijaya Dairy exhibition at the historic Durbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan, here.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan felicitated the Vijaya Telangana officials for their efforts in bringing a turnaround in the functioning of the Dairy.

Annamacharya Sankeerthans Should Reach Youth - Addl Eo




The great essence of Bhakti embedded in the sankeertans penned by Telugu Pada Kavita Pitamaha, Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya should reach the youth, said TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

 

Reviewing on the Annamaiah Sankeertans Recording with the Selection Committee at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday, the Additional EO said, the saint-poet has penned 32,000 Sankeertans of which 14,000are available and TTD is doing the composition for all these Sankeertans to bring before the devotees.

 

He is also of the opinion that the Committee should give priority to youth. The committee should record 1000 Sankeertans while recording them through SV Recording Project.

 

TTD is also planning half an hour program every day telecasting Annamacharya, Tarigonda Vengamamba, Sri Purandara Dasa Sankeertans in SVBC. So the Selection Committee should select the youth who are well versed and sing the Sankeertans with utmost devotion, he opined.

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Naveen Medaram, Abhishek Pictures Pan India film Devil- The British Secret Agent‘s Title and First Look Out



Known for encouraging young talent who comes up with pathbreaking concepts, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram for his 21st film under popular producer Abhishek Nama’s Abhishek Pictures joins hands with director Naveen Medaram.


The film’s pre-look poster was released yesterday and it made us all to anticipate curiously for the first look poster that is out now, on the occasion of Kalyan Ram’s birthday. The film is titled intriguingly as Devil which denotes the ferocity of the protagonist. And it comes with the tagline- The British Secret Agent.

Wore blazer and panchekattu, Kalyan Ram looks intense and manly with handlebar mustache, beard and long hair in the first look poster. He looks like a DEVIL holding a gun and stepping out of a train, while there are numerous Indians sitting on the trains with Indian flags in their hands.

Apparently, Kalyan Ram is gearing up for a big fight. We can also observe injuries to his head and also blood coming from the injury to his chest. This first look is highly impressive and Kalyan Ram’s getup is equally striking.

Set in Madras presidency Of British India in 1945, Devil is the story of a British secret agent who takes up the job of solving a dark mystery. This mystery is deeper than he could fathom and this leads him into a web of love, deceit and betrayal. His success and failure, both have serious repercussions and this mystery has the potential to change the course of history.

Srikanth Vissa, the writer of Pushpa, has provided story for Devil and going by the first look and motion video, he has penned a distinctive story. Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s BGM for the motion is vivacious.

It’s indeed a never tried before theme for Kalyan Ram who will be seen in an unusual role as a British secret agent. We are going to witness a magnum opus on screen, as the motion video promises.

Devansh Nama is presenting the film which will disclose an unwritten chapter in history.

Devil will be made as a Pan India project on lavish budget with high technical standards in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada languages.
