Quality medical education is crucial for country’s health system















Hyderabad, July 31: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday said that quality medical education is vital for the country’s healthcare system.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need to have more number of doctors and other healthcare workers across the world.

The Governor was addressing the Graduation Ceremony of MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences, here.

She said that there was tremendous increase in the number of medical seats ever since Shri Narendra Modi took over as the Prime Minister of the country in 2014.

Around 30,000 MBBS seats and 24,000 PG medical seats were created additionally in our country since 2014. The Governor pointed out that the number of UG medical seats in the country will be around One Lakh in near future.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has also appreciated the Telangana Government’s decision to establish six more medical colleges in our State.

The National Medical Commission established by the Central government is heralding accountability and transparency in the medical education in the country.

The Governor called upon the young passing out medical graduates to uphold the highest standards of medical professional ethics.

The Governor presented gold medals and other medals to the meritorious students as part of the Graduation Ceremony.

Governor calls for better awareness on mental health issues

Hyderabad, July 31: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday called for increased awareness on mental health issues.

She said that due to lack of mental health awareness, many people and their families have been suffering silently.

 “Mental health is an essential and integral part of health. It is just not the absence of the mental illness. It is the foundation for wellbeing and effective functioning of individuals,” she added.

The Governor was virtually launching the 7th annual conference of the Indian Psychiatric Society, Telangana State (TSPSYCON-2021), from the Raj Bhavan, here.

She stated that mental health is one of the leading non-communicable diseases ailing the world. Prevalence of psychiatric disorders witnessed a massive increase since the onset of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor said that if diagnosed and treated early, it will not result in serious consequences. It is important to acknowledge mental illness as a health issue and seek the professional help without any hesitation.

“The family members and others must not stigmatize the mental illness. Instead they should support the affected and help them recover by seeking professional medical help,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed concern that every 6th Indian needs help on mental health.

“Studies are indicating that India is likely to incur a huge loss of around 1.3 Trillion US dollars between 2012 and 2030 due to these mental health issues affecting large number of people,” she added.

The Governor lauded that some celebrities have started openly discussing about the mental health issues and the trauma that they went through and how they bounced back with the medical help. She termed it as a welcome sign.

Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata First Notice Out, Superstar’s Birthday Blaster On August 9th



The makers of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated flick Sarkaru Vaari Paatabeing directed by the Parasuram directorial have come up with rejoicing updates. While they have released First Notice poster, Superstar’s Birthday Blaster is announced to be out on August 9th.


The First Notice looks kick-ass and different from regular first look posters. Mahesh Babu appears at stylish best and he is seen coming out of a luxury red-colour car. Sports a tiny round earring, long hair and a one-rupee coin tattoo behind ear, Mahesh Babu is super cool here in trendy outfit.

We can also see three men leaving the place on bikes. This all hints at Mahesh Babu going to take on them. The poster is striking and sets bar high for Superstar’s Birthday Blaster to be out in another nine days.

The poster also shows January 13th as the film’s release date. It’s an ideal date, as the next day will be Bhogi, followed by Sankranthi and Kanuma. The extended weekend will favour the film to rake in record collections.

On the other hand, Sankranthi is a lucky season for Mahesh Babu who enjoyed several hits for the festival. Particularly, his last movie Sarkaru Vaari Paata ended up as highest grosser for the actor.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, GMB Entertainment and 14 Reels Plus banners. Star heroine Keerthy Suresh is essaying Mahesh Babu’s love interest in the film being produced jointly by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta.

Music sensation Thaman SS is providing music for the film, while R Madhi is the cinematographer. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor, while AS Prakash is art director.

Jacqueline Fernandez Is Gadang Rakkamma in Kichcha Sudeepa starrer Vikrant Rona


In line with the grand revelations that have been announced about the upcoming Kichcha Sudeepa-starrer Vikrant Rona. After announcing that the film will be made in 3D, its makers now unveil the first look of Jacqueline Fernandez, who will be seen essaying an interesting role in it. Displayed on billboards across Mumbai, and other cities of the country. The first glimpse reveals the Bollywood star's character Raquel D’Costa Aka Gadang Rakkamma in the pan-Indian 3D film and her look as well. 


Her look in the film will have a fusion of multiple ethnicities. She plays ‘Gadang Rakkamma’ who runs a tavern in a fictional place. She will be seen matching wits with Vikrant Rona, essayed by Baadshah Kichcha Sudeep 


Jacqueline inspired headlines as the word about her stepping aboard the Vikrant Rona universe spread like fire. Not only will the stunning actress be seen portraying a pivotal character, she will also be seen shaking a leg with Sudeepa in the film.

Balamevvadu Movie Title Track Out: Mani Sharma Composed, MM Keeravani Sung The Number


"Balamevvadu" is a film that reflects the thirst of corporate hospitals for money and also the scams of medical mafia. Dhruvan Katakam is making his debut as a hero with this film. Nia Tripathi plays the heroine, wherein Suhasini, Nassar and Prithviraj will be seen in other key roles. RB Markandeyulu is producing the film, while Sanathana Drishyalu presents it. After 20 years, Keeravani sings a song composed by Mani Sharma and the two legendary music directors come up with the strongest song of the year. While Mani Sharma tuned the song wonderfully, Keeravani brings soul to it with his vocals. It’s an instant hit.
