Pattabishekam Utsava of Valmikipuram Sri Pattabhirama Swamy Vari Temple on 14 and 15th August


TTD is organising grand Pattabishekam utsava on August 14-15 at the Sri Pattabirama temple in the TTD local temple at Valmikiouram village, Chittoor district in Ekantha as per Covid guidelines.

 

As part of festivities the Ankurarpanam ritual with Senadhipati utsava shall be held on August 13 inside the temple

 

On August 14, Snapana thirumanjanam shall be held for utsava idols in the yagashala after puja and Homa. Later in the evening, Unjal Seva followed by Sri Sitaram Shanti Kalyanam shall be grandly conducted and thereafter at night the auspicious Hanumanta vahana seva is held to delight of devotees.

 

On August 15 morning Snapana thirumanjanam and yagashala puja are conducted ahead of the majestic festivities of Sri Rama Pattabisekam.

 

The celebrations will conclude with Unjal seva and Garuda vahana seva in the night.

PV Sindhu Calls on Governor




Tokyo Olympics-2020 Bronze Medal winner and badminton champion PV Sindhu has called on Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.

Sindhu, who created history by becoming the first Indian woman to win medals in two successive Olympics, showed her Olympic Bronze Medal to the Governor.

The Governor appreciate the sporting icon as an inspiration to youth of the country and wished her many more successes in her sporting career and bring laurels to the country at the national and international level.

Governor offers traditional Bonam at Raj Bhavan temple






Hyderabad, Aug 8: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has offered traditional Bonam and performed as part of the Ashada masam Bonalu celebrations at the Raj Bhavan temple, here, on Sunday.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, carrying the traditional bonam on her head, came in a procession in pure traditional Telangana style from her official residence to the temple.

The Governor’s family members and other members of the Raj Bhavan pariwar joined Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan in the celebrations.

The Raj Bhavan wore a festive look, while the traditional Telangana Bonalu songs rented the air inside the sprawling Raj Bhavan complex.

The Governor in tune with the Telangana traditions and culture carried the Bonam and offered it to the presiding deity ammavaru at the temple. She took part in the elaborate puja and performed rituals.

“I prayed for the prosperity and development of our nation and Telangana and the wellbeing of all the people,” she said.

The Governor greeted all the employees and their family members on the occasion.

Secretary to Governor K. Surendra Mohan and other senior officials joined the Governor in the Bonalu State festival celebrations in Raj Bhavan.

 

Ethic Tribal Art is the greatest treasure of our country: Governor




















Hyderabad, Aug 8: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday said that the ethnic tribal art is the greatest treasure of the country.

She gave a call to protect the ethnic tribal art forms and the artefacts for posterity so as to pass on our great treasure to the future generations.

The Governor was interacting with the press after taking a look at the exhibits displayed at the Ethnic Art Exhibition being organised at the State Art Gallery, Madhapur, here.

She said that it is our duty to safeguard the exquisite artefacts that are full of creativity and are of great finishing.

 “They represent our rich cultural heritage and symoblise our cherished past. We must protect them and show our respect to our ancestors and their artistry,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan went round the exhibition and showed keen interest in knowing about different artefacts displayed at the exhibition.

 She expressed her amazement at the skill and mastery of our ancestors in coming out with such masterpieces.

The Governor appreciated the relentless efforts of Prof. Jayadheer Tirumala Rao, Prof. Lakshmi of Aadhya Kala and other activists working in the field to protect and promote the tribal ethnic art forms and artefacts.

Nagarjuna, Praveen Sattaru’s Film Shooting In Hyderabad


King Nagarjuna has joined hands with director Praveen Sattaru for a high-octane action thriller being produced by Narayan Das K Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Sharrath Marar under the Sree Venkateshwara LLP and Northstar Entertainment Banners.


The film’s shooting recommenced recently in Hyderabad with Nagarjuna, Gul Panag and Anikha Surendran are taking part in it. Crucial sequences are being canned in the ongoing lengthy schedule.

The makers have released a working still featuring Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna plays an action-packed role in the film, wherein Kajal Aggarawal is the heroine.

The yet to be titled flick’s shoot is planned in different cities in India and also abroad.

National Handloom Day celebrated at Raj Bhavan













National Handloom Day is celebrated in festive atmosphere at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Saturday.

On the occasion, Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan felicitated the weavers and stated that they deserved greater support.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor highlighted the weavers’ role during the freedom struggle and their contribution to the national movement.

“Weavers really deserve more. They should be rewarded suitably. They should also be given greater respect for all the service that they are doing to the nation,” she added.

The Governor also remembered her participation in the first ever National Handloom Day launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tamil Nadu in 2015.

Paying rich tributes to the art of weaving, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that weavers exhibit extraordinary passion towards their profession for centuries and come out with exquisite designs with painstaking efforts and patience. They bring colour to the nation.

She called upon the people to buy local handloom products in order to support and be with the weavers and to express our respect to their profession and passion.

The Governor lauded the efforts of the Telangana Postal circle in bringing out special covers highlighting the Geographical Indications related to the handloom products of Narayanpet, Siddipet, and Warangal.

It was for the first time that Raj Bhavan organized the National Handloom Day where more than 50 weavers from across the State joined the Governors in the celebrations.
