Chakratheertha Mukkoti Performed
The annual Chakratheertha Mukkoti was performed with religious fervour in Tirumala on Wednesday.
The temple staff carried the puja material to Chakratheertham and performed special abhishekam to Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar, Sri Narasimha Swamy, Sri Anjaneya Swamy located in the premises.
As per the tradition, in Karthika Masam on the Suddha Dwadasi day, the Chakratheertha Mukkoti event is celebrated every year in Tirumala.
According to Varaha Puranam Chakratheertham is one of the seven prominent theerthams in the Sheshachala ranges which houses about 66 crore holy theerthams.

The film is launched formally in Hyderabad recently. Prizes Distributed on Gita Jayanthi
The winners of the Bhagavat Gita shloka recitation competition were awarded on Tuesday evening on the occasion of Gita Jayanthi.
This event was organized at Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati. This competition was held under the aegis of the HDPP wing of TTD.
At the beginning of the programme scholar’s Sri Maruti, Sri Raghavendra, Sri Ramakrishna Seshasai, Sri Chakravarti Raghavan addressed the students about the importance of the Bhagavat Gita.
The competition was held on December 5 to students in the 17th Chapter of Bhagavat Gita - Shradhatraya Vibhaga Yogam.
The students were categorised as Junior that includes 6th and 7th class students while students of 8th and 9th standards were categorised as Seniors. Likewise, the competitions were also held in all 700 Shlokas to those above and below 18years of age.
For the winners in all these four categories, All Projects Officer of TTD Sri Vijayasaradhi, HDPP Secretary Sri Rama Rao gave away the prizes.
HDPP AEO Sri Satya Narayana, Co-ordinator Sri Mahesh were also present.
Kanchi Seer Offers Prayers to Hill Lord
