Sadhu Subramanya Shastri Heralded Srivari Glory Emdedded in Inscriptions - Speakers

 

 Sri Sadhu Subramaniam Shastry brought to light the glory of Srivaru and Tirumala temple which were embedded in the inscriptions, said scholars.


Rich tributes were paid on the occasion of 132nd Jayanti of Sri Shastry on Friday.

TTD officials accompanied by Sri Shastry's daughter Smt Girija Devi, grandson, Justice CM Murthy, TTD Projects Officer Sri Vijayasaradhi, HDPP secretary Sri Rama Rao and others paid floral tributes and garlanded the bronze statue of Sri Sadhu Subramaniam Shastry in front of SVETA at Tirupati.


Speaking at the Jayanti Sabha held in the SVETA building Smt Sadhu Girija Devi said the celebration of her father's Jayanti program every year was a rich tribute to his contributions to TTD.


SVETA Director Smt Prashanti said Sri Shastry when serving as the first Peishkar of Srivari temple had also discharged duties as an epigraphist and translated the collection of copper plate inscriptions found in the temple.


Later the HDPP secretary Sri Rama Rao and research assistant Acharya Nagolu Krishna Reddy, retired Principal Sri Krishna Reddy, SVHigher Vedic Studies Institute Project officer Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma spoke and lauded the contributions of Sri Shastry.


Thereafter the TTD officials felicitated the kin of Sri Shastry and others.


Earlier a documentary on the life and contributions of Sri Sadhu Subramaniam Shastry was also exhibited.

Ready 15 Panchagavya Products by Jan13th - Eo TTD

 










TTD Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed officials concerned to ensure that at least 15 Panchagavya products are made available to devotees by January 13, ahead of Vaikunta Ekadasi.


Inspecting the pace of production of Panchagavya products at the DPW stores on Friday evening, the TTD EO directed officials to ensure quality products. He inspected the machines making dhoop cones, dhoop sticks, cow dung balls etc.


Thereafter along with Engineering and Estate officials, he also inspected the piece of land being chosen to construct Spiritual Theme Park near the Alipiri - Zoo Park road.


TTD JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, Chief Engineer Sri Nageswar Rao, SE Electrical Sri Venkateswarlu, SV Goshala Director Dr Harnath Reddy, SV Ayurveda College Principal Dr Muralikrishna, Additional Health Officier Dr Sunil and representatives of Ashirwad organisation were also present.

Sri Somaskanda Swamy Koluvu at Sri Kaplileswara Swamy Vari Temple

 




As part of the ongoing annual Float festival (Teppotsavam) at Sri Kapileswara temple held in Ekantha on the third day, the utsava idol of Sri Somaskanda Swami koluvu was observed on Friday evening at Unjal Mandapam.

 

While TTD Veda pundits performed Veda parayanams, the artists of Annamacharya project rendered sankeetans.

 

Similar ritual will be held for Sri Kamakshi ammavaru on Saturday.

 

Temple DyEO Sri Subramaniam, AEO Sri Naik, Superintendent Sri Bhupathi temple inspector, Sri Reddy Sekhar were present.
