Teppotsavam Concluded at Sri Kapileswara Swamy Vari Temple





The annual fete of Teppotsavam underway at the Sri Kapileswara temple concluded on Sunday with the Sri Chandikeswara swamy and Sri Chandrasekhar swamy koluvu held in ekantha at the unjal Mandapam in the evening between 6-7.00 pm.

 

The highlight of the event was Veda parayanam by TTD Vedic pundits and sankeertans by artists of the Annamacharya project.

        

TTD Dyeo Sri Subramaniam, Superintendent Sri Bhupathi, Temple Inspector Sri Reddy Sekhar other Archakas and officials are present.

Supreme Court Judge Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple




Hon'ble Supreme Court Judge Mr Justice CT Ravi Kumar offered prayers in the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara on Sunday morning.

 

The Hon’ble Judge was earlier received by TTD Addl Executive Officer Sri AV Dharma Reddy at the temple's main entrance and had a darshan of Lord Venkateswara.

 

Later the Honourable Supreme Court judge was rendered with Vedasirvachanam by a team of Vedic scholars inside Ranganayakula Mandapam. Addl EO offered Prasadams, Laminated Photo to the honourable Judge of Supreme Court.

Chief Pontiff of Sri Bhandarakeri Matha Offered Prayers to Lord Venkateswara




HH Sri Sri  Vidyeshateertha Sripadaru of Sri Bhandarakeri Matha, Udipi visited Sri Vari Temple, Tirumala on Sunday morning. On his arrival at in front of Sri Vari Temple, Addl EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and Temple Priests welcomed him with Temple Honors and led him to Sanctum Santorium.

Srivari Vaikunta Darshan for BPL Families of SC/ST/BC and Firshermen - TTD Chairman

 TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Sunday laid foundation stones for construction of Srivari Kalyana Mandapams at Darsi and Kanigiri towns of Prakasam districts.

 

Speaking at public meetings organised on the occasion the TTD chairman said the Kalyana Mandapam at Darsi town built over 1.5 acres at a cost of Rs1.5 crores will facilitate weddings with a guest list of 630 guests complete with Wedding Mandapam, dining hall and accommodation for the bride and bridegroom. At Kanigiri town also the Kalyana Mandapam will have all facilities on one care land at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

 

He said in directions of Honourable AP CM TTD has taken up Sanatana Hindu dharma campaign in a big way during last 2-1/2 years. And now all BPL families belonging to SC/ST/BC and fishermen communities were being provided free Srivari Darshan.

 

Similarly, as per the recent TTD board resolution free Srivari Darshan was provided to these categories at the rate of 1000 per day during the last Srivari Brahmotsavam in October last.

 

He said as per the board decision from January 13 onwards during the 10 days long Srivari Vaikunta Darshan also these categories of devotees will also be provided Vaikunta darshan.

 

All these initiatives of TTD was aimed at containing the spread of Religious conversations in villages of AP. In the same spirit, TTD was constructing SV temples in the SC/ST/BC and fishermen villages in a big way.

 

The chairman also highlighted the recent TTD initiatives lie Gudiko Gomata Gosamrakshana Goshalas and Gobases organic farming etc. As of now Presentation of cow and calf has been completed in 100 temples. And in the coming days’ action plans drawn for the expansion of the program to many more regions.

 

He said TTD is negotiating with corporate groups to promote an action plan for bringing all Goshalas in both Telugu states under one umbrella.


The TTD chairman also highlighted the progress of works h other kalyan Mandapam projects in Prakasam district like Nagulappulapadu, Markapuram, Medarmetta, etc.

 

The TTD chairman also said under the Srivani trust scheme Rs 3.6 crore was sanctioned for Sri Venkateswara at Adani, Rs 1.00 crore for Sri Kodandaramaswamy temple and Rs 2 crore for the Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy temple at Singarakonda and assured adequate funds for the installation of Sri Thiyagaraya statue at Kakarla,

 

The TTD chairman also announced that in a phased, annex Srivari temples would be constructed at all TTD Kalyan Mandapams at a cost of Rs 5 lakhs.

Grand Pournami Garuda Seva Held








TTD organised a grand monthly Pounamu Garuda Sava on Sunday evening wherein bejewelled Sri Malayappa Swamy rode on colourful vahana on Mada streets and blessed devotees.

 

Garuda, the favourite charioteer of Sri Venkateswara is symbolically heralded in all 108 Vaishnava countries. He is also hailed as an icon of wisdom and bracing and Srivari Darshan on his vehicle brought boons and averted all sins.

      

Tirumala pontiffs Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, Srivari temple DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu, VGO Sri Bali Reddy were present.

Governor envisions greater role for MIDHANI for self-reliance in defence products










Hyderabad, Dec 19: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday said that the Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI) has a greater role to play in contributing to the country’s self-reliance in defence sector.

She said that country was making all efforts to achieve self-reliance in terms of defence equipment and other strategic metals.

Addressing the valedictory event of MIDHANI’s exhibition of its products organized as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations at the MIDHANI, here, she stated the organization has made tremendous contribution in ensuring country’s self-reliance in the availability of critical materials to a great extent.

The Governor has also highlighted the efforts of the MIDHANI in manufacturing a wide range of metals and alloys.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has expressed happiness about the contribution of MIDHANI in producing Titanium Bio Medical implants and supplying the same at nominal charges under its Corporate Social Responsibility.

The Governor asked the MIDHANI to come out with more such innovations and help the needy.

 “I appreciate the efforts of the MIDHANI in supplying special metals and alloys to various national programs of space, Defence and Energy sectors. Few examples like GSLV, PSLV, Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, Gaganyaan, Light Combat Aircraft, Kaveri Engine, Advance Ultra Super Critical Programme etc.,” she added.

Promote energy conservation awareness at all levels: Governor

Hyderabad, Dec 19: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan has given a call to all to take the energy conservation as the personal responsibility.

She stated that wastage of energy today will result in the energy shortage tomorrow.

“Energy conservation, efficient use of energy, and the promotion of renewable energy sources are vital for the country to realise its goal of emerging as the energy independent country during the next 25 years,” she added.

The Governor, as the chief guest, was addressing the Telangana State Energy Conservation Awards (TSECA-2021) function, organized by the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation, here, on Sunday.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan emphasized on the need for promoting awareness at all levels on energy conservation. 

“The energy conservation must begin at our homes and then the country will automatically avoid lot of energy consumption that is resulting in global warming and the fast depletion of national resources,” she added.

The Governor pointed out that need to promote alternate energy production and its use in order to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.

“Efficient use of energy and its conservation assumes greater importance. One unit of energy saved at the consumption level reduces the need for fresh capacity creation by nearly 2 times,” she said. 

The Governor highlighted the use of LED bulbs and other energy-efficient equipment at all levels.

The Governor appreciated the efforts of the State of Telangana in the power sector and its initiative to promote greenery through Haritha Haram.

The Governor asked the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation to intensify its efforts in promoting the renewable energy in a bigger way.

Special Chief Secretary to Government of Telangana Sunil Sharma, and TS Genco and Transco CMD D. Prabhakar Rao and other senior officials were present.

The Governor appreciated the award winners for their efforts in energy conservation.
