Lankan Prime Minister Reaches Tirumala







Tirumala, 23 Dec. 21: The Honourable Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Sri Mahinda Rajapaksa along with his spouse Shiranthi Rajapaksa reached Tirumala on Thursday afternoon. 

 

On his arrival at Sri Padmavathi Rest House, he was given a warm reception by Deputy CM Sri K Narayana Swamy. 

 

TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti received the foreign dignitary and presented him with floral bouquets. 

  

The Lankan Prime Minister and his entourage will have Darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Friday. 

 

District Collector Sri Harinarayan, Urban SP Sri Venkata Appala Naidu, Board Member Sri Lakshminarayana, Reception Officials Sri Lokanadham and others were present.

TTD Disaster Management Soon - TTD JEo (H&E)

 TTD JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi (Health&Education) said on Wednesday that a Manual on disaster management will soon be drafted for quick response during natural calamities like land slides to avert losses to TTD properties and also safety of devotees.

 

Addressing a review meeting at SVETA Bhavan on the purpose of the Manual was to give correct information to devotees and boost their confidence levels in such crucial hours.

 

Speaking on the occasion the TTD JEO said the guidelines of manual were being framed on the instructions of the TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy. Following which the additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy set up a committee with herself, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CVSO Sri Gopinath Jatti, Chief engineer Sri Nageswara Rao and DFO Sri Srinivasulu Reddy as members.

 

She said a working group was also formed to frame the guidelines under supervision, which will interact with engineering, IT, Health, Forest, Electrical and Security wings. Presently the team was deliberating on setting up of a control room and framing precautionary alerts etc 

 

Earlier the JEO also explained the legal aspects of the disaster management Manuel in consultation with TTD legal officer Sri Reddappa Reddy and HR consultant Sri Ramachandra Rao.

 

 

The TTD JEO said as part of the disaster management exercise the TTD is organising a two say awareness campaign for all 69 HoDs, Besides a three day training program legal issues will also be conducted for all TTD officials by leading legal experts to resolve all legal issues in courts quickly, she added.

 

All Heads of TTD departments were present.
