Mahatma Jyothi Rao Phule Followed the Steps of Annamaiah and Vengamamba - TTD Jeo (E&H)

 TTD JEO (Education &Health) Smt Sada Bhargavi said on Monday that on the lines of Annamaiah and Vengamamba, Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule fought to achieve equality in society.

 

Addressing the 195th Jayanthi fete of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule as Chief Guest at Mahati auditorium in Tirupati the TTD JEO said caste, gender and group divisions were man-made hazards and social reformers like Annamaiah and Vengamamba through sankeetans did service while Phule strived to eliminate them from society with education.


She called for study of life history of such reformers to inspire youth in their life's journey. She said Phule laid importance to women education and because of a great humane like Phule today many women like her could able to become officers.

 

Dr Pratyusha Subba Rao, counselling psychologist from Guntur said Phule launched the first school for untouchables and his book Gulamgiri has become a research material at Stanford University.

 

Dr D Rajita, a lecturer from Hyderabad said Mahatma Phule was known for sacrifice and his wife Savitribai Phule was the first women teacher in India. She said Phule started women empowerment a couple of centuries ago from his house with his wife and gave life to many women.

 

Earlier TTD employees led by JEO Sri Bhargavi garlanded the statue of Mahatma Phule at Balaji colony and later came in procession to Mahati auditorium.

 

They also garlanded portraits of Sri Venkateswara and Mahatma Phule. Later 20 TTD employees who rendered meritorious service and the winners of essay and quiz contests were presented prizes.

Srivari Annual Vasanthotsavam from 14th to 16th April

 The three-day annual Vasantothsavam fete of Srivari temple will be conducted from April 14-16 as a part of practice to conduct this spring festival every year which concludes on Chaitra Suddha Pournami day.

 

As part of the festivities, a procession of utsava idols of Sri Malayappa and His consorts will be conducted on Mada streets on April 14 and later seated in Vasantothsavam mandapam for Abhishekam and later returned to Srivari temple.

 

On April 15 there will be procession of Bangaru Ratham in the morning.

 

On the last day on April 16 Sri Malayappa and His consorts along with Sri Sita Rama Lakshmana and Anjaneya, Rukmini sameta Sri Krishna will participate in the Vasantothsavam fete and later return to Srivari temple.

 

On all three days, grand Snapana Tirumanjanam fete is performed for utsava idols of Swami and consorts.

 

During the Vasantothsavam fete, Swamy is worshipped with perfumed flowers and a variety of fruits.

 

In view of Vasantothsavam fete TTD has cancelled the Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara sevas on April 14-16and Nija pada Darshan Seva on April 15.



Grand Procession of Muthyala Talambralu







As part of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam fete at Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati a spectacular procession of pearl Talambralu was organised from TTD administrative building to the temple premises by TTD officials who earlier performed special pujas at the TTD treasury wing on Monday.

 

JEO Sri Veerabrahmam carried the precious pearls and handed it over to chief archaka Sri Ananda Kumar Dikshitulu. The holy pearls were carried on an elephant Ambari to Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple across pilgrim city.

 

Later speaking on the occasion the TTD JEO said the pearls etc. were taken for the evening event of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam. After the Kalyanam, the utsava idols will be paraded on the Mada streets of the temple.

 

Temple Special Grade DyEO Smt Parvati, AEO Sri Durga Raju, Superintendent Sri Ramesh, Temple inspectors Sri Muniratnam and Sri Jayakumar were present.

Sri Ramachandra Enthralls In Venugana Alankaram







On the second day of the ongoing Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavams at Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Vontimitta of YSR Kadapa districts, the processional deity paraded on the Mada streets on Monday morning in Venugana alankaram and blessed the devotees.

 

The procession was accompanied with bhajan and Kolata teams and Mangala vadyam and the Karpura Haratis offered by devotees was a spectacle.

 

Thereafter grand Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed for the utsava idols of Swami and Ammavaru in the afternoon. There will be a spectacular Unjal seva in the evening.

Karthikeya 2 Locks 22nd July Release Slot


Nikhil's upcoming film, Karthikeya 2, which also features Anupama Parameswaran and Anupam Kher in the lead roles has picked the release date.  The makers of the big budget action thriller have announced that the film will be releasing in theatres on the 22nd of July.  Karthikeya 2 is the sequel of super hit film, Karthikeya. The action thriller is produced by Abhishek Aggarwal and TG Vishwa Prasad under Abhishek Aggarwal Arts and People Media Factory.  Karthikeya plays an action packed role in the film and it is directed by Chandoo Mondeti. It is being mounted on a big scale and it is best suited for a big screen experience.  The film is now headed for worldwide grand slam theatrical release on the 22nd of July.  The makers have incorporated heavy duty action shots, including 3000 CGI, VFX Shots, and also aesthetically exotic locales. Hamsa Vahana Held

 On the second day evening of the ongoing Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavam at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district on Monday evening, Sri Rama flanked by Sita Devi and Lakshmana Swamy took a celestial ride on Hamsa Vahanam.

 

Sri Kodandarama blessed His devotees on the celestial carrier.

 

According to legends, Hamsa has the capacity to separate milk from water, which is nothing but the divine wisdom of Parabrahma Swarupam.

 

Earlier Unjal Seva took place with divine fervour.

 

The Annamacharya Sankeertana by renowned artist Dr G Madhusudhan Rao has provided a musical feast to the devotees.
