Kodandarama Rides Simha Vahana at Vontimitta








As part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district on the third day evening, Sri Kodandarama rode on Simha vahana on Tuesday night.

 

The fete was marked by the bhajan, kolata and Mangala Vaidyam teams as Kodandaramaswami went around the temple in the Mada streets and blessed His devotees.

 

The devotees offered harati, dry fruits and flowers all along with the Vahana Seva.

 

Lion is often considered as an icon of braveness, towering domination and its commanding status.

 

By riding such a vahana Sri Kodandarama sent a signal that the victory over sluggishness and His commitment and dedication to eliminate evil forces.

 

DyEO Dr Ramana Prasad, AEO Sri Subramaniam, Superintendent Sri Venkateshaiah, temple inspector Sri R Dhananjay were also present.

 

Spectacular Fete of Sri Rama Pattabhishekam at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Vari Temple







As part of the Sri Ramanavami Brahmotsavam celebrations, the celestial fete of Sri Rama Pattabisekam was performed at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple on Tuesday night.

 

Thereafter the TTD also organised the mesmerising Chaturdasa Kalasa Snapana Tirumanjanam ritual at the temple.

 

At the Pattabisekam after ceremonious Kainkaryams of Pradhana Homan and Purnahuti, special ornaments were adorned to utsava idols of Sita Lakshmana and Anjaneya apart from Sri Rama. After the Pattabisekam the utsava idols were paraded on the temple Mada streets.

Governor visits remote tribal habitation of Pusukunta

Hyderabad, April 12: Continuing her visits to the remote tribal habitations in the State, Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday visited the Pusukunta Konda Reddi tribal habitation in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

In a difficult journey into the thick reserved forests on a rough terrain, the Governor made a daring visit to the remote tribal habitation Pusukunta, which is located 10 km deep inside the thick forests.

Over joyed by the visit of Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the people of the particularly vulnerable tribal group belonging to the Konda Reddi tribe extended an enthusiastic, rousing, and traditional welcome to her.

The Konda Reddi tribe people in their traditional attire and the traditional musical instruments dancing to their musical drum beats extended a hearty welcome to the Governor, who joined in their welcome dance for a minute.

The sleepy remote tribal habitation came alive with a festive mood with the arrival of scores of visitors and series of initiatives being launched there.

The visit was as part of the nutritional status improvement intervention pilot project taken up by the Governor in the adopted tribal habitations of Pusukunta and Gogulapudi in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor stated that the visit to the remote tribal habitation would remain etched in her memory forever and termed the visit as truly memorable.

She called for the sustained and collective efforts for the all-round development of the tribal habitations and emphasized on providing required medical facilities.

“Your (particularly vulnerable tribal group people) health, nutrition, education, livelihoods and your wellbeing are one of my top priorities. Not only as the Governor, but as a doctor also, I am concerned about your health, nutrition and wellbeing,” she added.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that she had a special place for the particularly vulnerable tribal group people in her heart.

“Serving the Aadivasis gives me immense sense of satisfaction and I appeal to all to join hands for their wellbeing,” she said.

The Governor stated that she was humbled to get such a hearty and traditional welcome from the Aadivasi Konda Reddi people at Pusukunta.

“Based on the success of the pilot project, similar initiatives will be extended to other remote tribal habitations with a special care for the vulnerable tribal groups in the State,” the Governor said.

Rs 44 Lakh grant for developmental works: During her three-hour long visit to the Pusukunta, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan handed over a cheque for Rs 44.32 Lakh for the development of the adopted tribal habitations. The Governor made this financial gesture from her discretionary grant.

Foundation for Community Halls and classroom: As part of the visit, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan laid the foundation stone for the construction of one community hall each at Pusukunta and Gogulapudi habitations for the benefit of the Konda Reddi community people. The Governor also laid a foundation stone for the construction of additional classrooms in the primary school of the Pusukunta.

EV Ambulances: The Governor also handed over two Electric Vehicle three-wheeler auto rickshaw ambulances to the tribal habitations. The EV ambulances will help shift the patients in need from the remote habitations and for other community use purposes.

Visit to the Dwellings: The Governor visited some dwellings of the Konda Reddis in Pusukunta to get the firsthand experience of their life, living and other livelihood conditions and the tribal women and others were surprised and were overjoyed by her visit to their dwellings and to have an interaction with them.

Health Camp detects brain tumor and abdominal tumor patients:

The ultra sound scanning tests and other diagnostic tests carried out by the team of doctors from the ESIC Medical College at Pusukunta detected one brain tumor case and two abdominal tumor cases, while more than 75 per cent of them were found to be suffering from anaemia.

While assuring the required medical help to the needy patients, the Governor also distributed Mahua Laddu, health and hygiene kits to the tribal women with an aim to improve their nutritional status.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan also visited the renovated model Anganwadi Centre set up in the tribal habitation and had interacted with the children and staff.

She had also visited the primary school and laid the foundation stone for the construction of additional classrooms.

Large number of Aadivasi tribal people from the Pusukunta, Gogulapudi and other adjoining tribal habitations thronged the village and a massive number of people vied with each other to greet the Governor with the bouquets made up of colorful wild forest flowers and showered flower petals on the Governor all along.

Governor joins the people for lunch: The Governor joined hundreds of Konda Reddi people and others at the venue for the lunch organized at Pusukunta.

Secretary to Governor K. Surendra Mohan, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) state branch chairperson Ajay Mishra, and other senior officials of the district administration, police, ITDA, IRCS, NSS volunteers from Kakatiya University and a host of local public representatives were among others who were present on the occasion.

Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam was performed with religious fervour amidst chanting of Vedic mantras by the temple priests at Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple in Tirupati on Monday evening.

 

A large number of devotees took part in the Kalyanam (celestial wedding) and received the blessings of Sri Rama and Sita Devi. After a gap of two years due to Covid restrictions, the devotees had a divine opportunity to witness the grandeur of Sita Rama Kalyanam with utmost devotion.

Maha Samprokshana Program Begins at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Vari Teple on Ghat Road




The holy Maha Samprokshana fete at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in First ghat road commenced on Monday.

 

As part of festivities, Akalmasha Homa, Panchangavya Aradhana were performed at Yagashala on Monday and later in the evening Punyahavachanam, Agni pratista, Kalakarshana, Kumbha sthapana, Kumbha Aradhana and other homas were performed.

Misconceived Campaign on TTD Over Neglect of Annamaiah - TTD Addl Eo




TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy denied reports by a section of media and social media over the neglect of the place where Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya who once lived at Tirumala and said TTD held Annamaiah and his family in high esteem and given prominence to his principles of Bhakti in a big manner.

 

Addressing a media conference at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Monday evening, the TTD Additional EO said during the implementation of the master plan on Mada streets in 2003 the statues of Annamaiah and others were taken away by respective mutts etc.

 

Since the statues were not installed as per Agama shastras, they were not offered dhoop and Deepa rituals and baseless to say Balalaya was observed during the eviction of statues.

 

He said in 2007 Agama pundits had opposed installing and pujas of any idols other than Srivari idols on Mada streets.

 

The Additional EO gave ample instances of importance being given to Sri Annamacharya-

 

1.    Annamaiah ancestors daily participate in Srivari temple kainkaryars of suprabata Seva, kalyanotsava, Ekantha seva etc.

 

2.    As part of the master plan all Mutts and locals were evacuated from Mada streets and rehabilitated in other locations.

 

3. All Annamaiah successors were provided traditional honours at Srivari temple.

 

4.Two sankeertans of Annamaiah were sung during Sahasra Deepalankara seva every day.

 

5. 25 crore allocated to the Annamaiah Project established about 45 years ago.

 

6. 14,932 Annamaiah sankeertans are accessible to all common devotees today.

 

7. 25 Literary pundits are involved in vigorous research on Annamaiah sankeertans.

 

8. 4400 sankeetans have been tuned and accessible to devotees through YouTube and SVBC portals while another 1000 sankeetans will be done soon.

9.  Since1995 Annamaiah Vardhanti and Jayanti are being celebrated annually.

 

10. TTD has installed 108 feet Annamaiah statue at Tallapaka.

 

11. Very recently State government has also created an exclusive district named after Annamaiah.

 

12. In 2012 when Annamacharya successors sought installation of the Annamaiah statue on Mada Street, TTD board had rejected the demand.

 

13. The SVBC has launched programs of Annamaiah sankeertans for youth through 'Adivo Alladivo', 'Annamaiah Pataku Pattabhishekam 'etc. and created zeal among the youngsters to learn new sankeertans of Annamacharya and popularize the same among masses.
