Tummuru Fete


The annual fete of Sri Kariyamanikya Swamy will be observed between May 13-21 with Ankurarpanam on May 12.

 

This TTD sub-temple is located in Tummuru village of Naidupeta Mandal in Tirupati district.

 

The important days includes Dhwajarohanam on May 13, Garuda Vahanam on May 15, Kalyanam on May 18, Paruveta Utsavam on May 20 and Chakra Snanam on May 21.

 

Protect Tirumala Ghat Roads from Landslides - TTD Eo

 TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy said all out efforts should be made to ensure advance warning on landslides etc. on Tirumala Ghat roads and prevent human and material loss.

 

Reviewing with officials and interacting with experts of Amrut University via virtual meeting from his chambers in TTD Administrative Building on Sunday the EO said the comprehensive report from the strategic research and innovations wing of Amrut University should be expedited.

 

He asked the university experts to submit action plans ahead of calamities and also develop infrastructure to face challenges.

 

Professor Manisha and Prof.Sudesh Vidhwan of Amrut university said studies be made to identify the soft and hard surfaces in the Tirumala Ghat roads and culverts cum drainage system to strengthen to ensure quick discharge of rainwaters.

 

They said the second Ghat road was slanted and also how the Link Road be utilised during thundershower season.

 

Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, CE Sri Nageswara Rao, SE-2 Sri Jagadeeshwar Reddy were also present.

 


Grand Bhashyakarla Vellai Sattaupadi Fete Held





As part of ongoing Bhashyakarula utsavam, the Vellai Sattupadi fete was observed at Srivari temple on Sunday morning.

 

The festivities commenced on April 26 and the most significant event Vellai Sattupadi fete was held on Sunday.

 

On the occasion of Sri  Ramanujacharya birth day on Arudra star on May 5, the Bashyakarula sattumora fete will be performed.

 

As part of festivities on Sunday, the utsava idol of Sri Ramanujacharya was clad in white clothes and paraded along the mada streets.

 

Tirumala pontiffs and Ekangis conducted Divya Prabanda Parayana Goshti. TTD officials also participated.

Tridosha Siddnata Root fo Ayurveda - Dr Polishetty Ravishankar


Renowned heart surgeon Dr Polishetty Ravi Shankar said on Saturday that Tridosha Siddhanta is the root and basis of entire Ayurveda medicine.

 

Dr Ravi Shankar, popular for his research papers on Ayurveda in international medical journals was at SV Ayurveda College.

 

Addressing students on the theme ’How and Why Should Ayurveda medicine turn into mainstream medicine' - an allopathic doctors perception’. He was hopeful that SV Ayurveda College and other institutions would promote research in future.

 

Dr Murali Krishna, Principal of SV Ayurveda College also spoke on prospects of research in Ayurveda medicine and students participation.

 

Dr. Renu Dixit, Dr Ramasubba Reddy and students were present.

AFCON Tirupati Head Felicitated


The TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy has felicitated AFCON infrastructure limited Tirupati Head Sri Rangaswamy at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Saturday. 

 

He appreciated the services of the Tirupati team lead and Manager of the infrastructure company, Sri Rangaswamy for completing the restoration works of the First Ghat road to Tirumala that was damaged due to the unprecedented rain havoc that took place on November last.

 

Maha Tourism Minister Offers Documents of Land to TTD

On behalf of the state government of Maharashtra, the Honourable Minister of Tourism of Maharashtra Sri Aditya Thackeray handed over the documents of the land donated by the Maha government to TTD towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Navi Mumbai in Maharastra.

 

The Maha Minister presented the documents to TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy in the presence of all other board members and TTD mandarins at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala before the beginning of the Board Meeting on Sa







turday.

 

Sri Sanjiv Sarin, the Vice-President of Raymond limited has assured on behalf of the Chairman and MD of Raymond Group Sri Gautam Singhania, that they will bear the entire cost towards the construction of the temple.

 

TTD Chairman has felicitated Sri Aditya Thackeray and Sri Sanjiv Sarin on the occasion. He thanked the Maharashtra Government for their kind gesture to allot 10acres of land at Ulwe in Navi Mumbai. The TTD Board Chief also thanked the largesse of the Raymond Chief Sri Singhania for coming forward to bear the entire cost towards the construction of Sri Venkateswara temple.
