All Types of Cancers Under Free Treatment - CM Of AP

 As a part of the Andhra Pradesh Government's chief motto of comprehensive cancer care in the state, all types of cancers are brought into the bracket of free treatment, said the Honourable CM of Andhra Pradesh, Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

 

After inaugurating the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Cancer Care and Research (SVICCAR) by TATA Trust in the Temple City of Tirupati on Thursday afternoon, speaking on the occasion, the CM said, it is a welcoming gesture by TATAs to set up a master piece cancer care institution in Tirupati. "With this initiative of TATAs collaborating with TTD and State Government of Andhra Pradesh will definitely address the gap of cancer care infrastructure in the state providing quality medi-care for cancer to the needy at an affordable price", he expressed.

 

Adding further he said, the State Government has requested TTD get into the medical services in a big way for the benefit of many suffering. The ultimate goal is that no single patient shall die of cancer in the state or rush to neighbouring states for treatment. 

 

He said with the co-operation of TATA and renowned Onchologist Dr Nori Dattatreyudu, the state government aims to set up State-of-Art Onchology centre soon.

 

Earlier in his address on the occasion, renowned Radiation Onchologist and Advisor to AP Government Dr Nori Dattatreyudu complimented the CM for his vision on cancer care and treatment. He said the Chief Minister is committed to construct three comprehensive cancer hospitals across the state. He also suggested to have Paediatric Onchology Center, Preventive Onchology, Center for Pain and Palliative Care as AP is the only state in India which has realized the importance of Cancer treatment, he maintained.

 

Earlier the CM has also shown a five minute AV on TATA cancer care. The CEO of TATA Trusts Sri N Srinath, Chief Executive of ACF Dr Sanjiv Gupta and other doctors were introduced to the CM of AP. 

 

Later Dr VR Ramanan, the Medical Director of SVICCAR explained the CM on various facilities available and said the TATA cancer care has developed on four pillars including enhanced access, uniform high quality care, affordable care and early detection through awareness programs. He had also shown the equipment, true beam lab and other diagnosing units present in the hospital and explained their functioning.

 

Ministers Smt V Rajani, Sri P Ramachandra Reddy, Sri Narayana Swamy, Smt RK Roja, MLAs Sri Karunakar Reddy, Sri C Bhaskar Reddy, MLC Sri Srinivasulu Reddy, TMC Mayor Dr Sirisha, Deputy Mayor Sri Abhinay and others were also present.

TTD Chairman Performs Puja And Resumes Srivari Mettu Services

 TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy on Thursday performed pujas and resumed pilgrim services on the Srivari Mettu footpath route.

 

Speaking on the occasion the Chairman said, due to the unprecedented torrential downpour on November 16, 17 and 18 of 2021which had led to massive landslides on the Srivari Mettu footpath damaging steps, footpath, toilets etc.

 

The TTD Board Chief said Puranic legends say that Sri Venkateswara Swamy Himself has used this ancient route to reach Tirumala. The inscriptions of the Srivari temple also reveal that this footpath was developed by the kings of the Vijayanagara empire and that emperor Sri Krishna Devaraya had regularly used this path.

 

Complimenting the TTD Engineering department which took up the repair works on a war footing at a cost of 3.60 crore has completed all the works ahead of schedule for the benefit of the devotees, the Chairman said.

 

"Though it is a difficult task to bring the construction required for restoration works as the damaged occurred in the middle of the footpath, our Engineering officials did an excellent job in getting it ready ontime", he added.

 

The Chairman felicitated all the Engineering officials, contractors on the occasion.

AP CM Felicitates SP Hridayalal Director and Smile Train Organiser



The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday felicitated  Dr Srinath Reddy, the Director of Sri Padmavati Hridayalaya for his stellar feat of performing over 300 open heart surgeries successfully on infants at the hospital.

 

CM presented him with a shawl and Srivari Prasadam and also felicitated Smt Mamta Carroll, organiser of the NGO Smile Train institute which is providing free treatment at the Hospital for children with ailments like cleft Palate, deaf and dumbness with a shawl and Srivari Prasadam.

 

The CM lauded the contributions of both at the Bhumi puja ceremony of the Sri Padmavati Children's super-speciality hospital.

Parents Thank CM For Giving A New Lease of Life to Their Children

 During the visit of Honourable CM of AP Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy to Tirupati on Thursday for Bhoomi Puja of SP Children's super speciality hospital, the parents of children who were successfully treated for heart ailments free of cost in the hospital expressed their gratitude to him.

 

We are ever grateful to the Dr YSR Arogyasree scheme which saved the lives of our children. "This is the heartfelt emotional response of parents whose children underwent heart surgeries at Sri Padmavati Children’s super speciality hospital.

 

During their interaction with the Honourable AP CM Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday during his visit for Bhumi puja for the new building of the Children’s hospital they expressed their gratitude with soul-touching words.

 

CM Jaganmohan Reddy spent some quality time with the children who were successfully treated for heart disorders in the hospital. He took the infants on his hands and kissed them with affection and also blessed them.

Smt Shanti- Bhimavaram 

 

My daughter was prescribed an operation for hole in heart costing over 10 lakhs at a  private hospital in Bhimavaram. We came to know about this hospital here and doctors admitted our child and performed the surgery without any payment. We are thankful to you sir for this "Life saving" scheme, she maintained with tears oozing out of her eyes with joy.

 

Lakshmi- Chittoor 

 

We took our son, Jagadeesh to a hospital in Tamilnadu when doctors diagnosed with a hole in heart and said the cost of the operation will be around 5 lakhs. With the help of our neighbours, we came here and within 10 days our boy is alright after free operation under Arogyasri Scheme. Thank You So much sir, an emotional mother expressed.

 

Sri Devi - Gudipala thanked Dr Srinath Reddy and his team for saving her child and giving him rebirth with successful surgery at the Childrens' Hospital.

 

Smt Venkatalakshmi-Rajahmundry said we had to go for Cochlear Implantation as my children Gopi, Likhita and Vikhita had hearing impairments and private hospital doctors said it could cost 12 lakhs.

 

In 2007 we met Dr YSR and sought help. And today all my children are healthy. We are ever indebted to Sri YSR. We are happy that Jaganmohan Reddy is following in his father's footsteps and helping the poor with free medicare.

 

Yashwant Reddy-a 11 year old from Nagari thanked CM Jaganmohan Reddy "Uncle" that his Cochlear Implant Operation was successfully performed and now he is a normal kid, studying in Hyderabad.

 

On the occasion of Sri Padmavati Children’s hospital Bhumi puja the TTD Veda pundits showered Veda Ashirvahanam on the Honourable CM.

AP CM Lays Foundation Stone for TTD Children Super Speciality Hospital

 The Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday participated in various development activities of TTD.

 

He laid the foundation stone plaque for the construction of the Sri Padmavati Children’s super-speciality hospital near Alipiri and also participated in the Bhoomi Puja programme.

 

Among others, he launched the services of Cleft palate, hearing and dumb wards in BIRRD and unveiled the plaques of the elevated expressway of Srinivasa Sethu and the Solid waste management plant of Tirupati Municipal Corporation.  He also unveiled the online Radio logo of SVBC.

 

He also witnessed an audio-visual presentation on the Smile Train Cochlear implantation. He also interacted with doctors, and parents of infants who had successfully undergone heart surgeries and spent some quality time with the babies taking selfies and photos.

 

SRI PADMAVATI CHILDREN’S SUPER SPECIALITY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION:

 

Spread on 6 acres costing 300 crore with a built-up area of 4,11,325 square feet the hospital comprises of a 7 floor building with 350 beds to provide international standard free Medicare to the needy children.

 

With 15 specialised departments the hospital is the first of its kind in the country, which also treats bone marrow, heart and other transplantations. For emergencies it also houses an air ambulance as well.

 

The hospital commenced services to poor children last year as part of commitment of former CM of AP late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy and has already completed 300 heart surgeries through the government Arogyasree scheme for children who can not bear expenses to the tune of lakhs.

 

CLEFT PLALATE, D&D WARDS AT BIRRD

 

As part for of mission health for all, the AP government has tied up with NGO Smile Train to provide world class treatment for children for ailments like cleft palate, Deaf & Dumb with speech therapy, behavioural counselling etc to boost morale of the children to lead normal life.

 

Under the Arogyasree scheme children are also provided with double cochlear implantation surgeries, speech therapy and behavioural counselling and hearing rehabilitation services to poor and middle class families.

 

SRINIVASA SETHU

 

TTD has patterned with Tirupati Smart City Corporation to build an elevated express highway in Tirupati to facilitate pilgrims with hassle free traffic rides coming for Srivari Darshan from all over the world.

 

The four lane 7 kms flyover with 17 meter wide was launched at an estimated cost of 684 crore with a TTD share of 458.28 crore (67%) and rest 225.62 (33%) crore share of TSCC and scheduled to be completed by 2023 end with first phase of 3 kms already finished.

 

SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLANT OF TMC

 

The Tirupati Municipal Corporation has built five solid waste management plants at a cost of 83.70 crore which were inaugurated by Honourable CM of AP. The plants are designed to produce gas and manure from solid wet waste, dry waste recycling, building waste recycling and 25 MLD capacity underground treatment Plant.

Buggies Donated





The MD of Sumit Sarees Pvt ltd. from Kolkata, Sri Prakash Chowdary has donated 10 buggies worth Rs.50 Lakhs to TTD in Tirumala on Thursday morning.

 

The donor handed over the vehicles to TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy in front of the temple.
