Annamaiash Sankeertans are Srivari Akshara Prasadam - Sri Gandaham Basavasankar Rao

ri Tallapaka Annamacharya Sankeertans are Srivari Akshara Prasadam, said Telugu writer and Orator Sri Gandham Basava Shankar Rao.

 

Addressing the literary convention organised by TTD at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram as part of the 614th Jayanti celebrations of saint poet on the theme of  ‘Annamaiah Sankeertans’ said on Saturday evening that the TTD had published all Sankeertans found in the copper plate inscriptions into 29 volumes including 289 sankeertans researched by Sri Tallapaka Seshacharya.

 

He said the Sankeertans had seen light of day due to efforts of Sri Venturi Ananda Murthy, Sri Shankar Rao and given voice by TTD Asthana Vidwan Dr Garimella Balakrishna Prasad.

 

Earlier artists of Annamacharya Project etc. presented cultural and Bhakti programs including Harikatha, Sankeertans and Bharata Natyam programs at Mahati auditorium and Kala Mandiram.

 

Odisha Temple Fete Begins With Ankurarpanam










The temple rituals at Sri Venkateswara temple in Bhubaneswar constructed by TTD commenced with the ceremonious Ankurarpanam fete on Saturday evening.

 

Ankurarpana is also known as Beejavapanam is a ritual wherein the sowing of nine type of holy seeds in earthen containers is undertaken on the day preceding the festival. This ritual signifies the beginning of any festival in the temple.

 

Earlier Shobha Yatra, the celestial procession of the sacred items took place.

 

TTD Deputy EO Sri Gunabhushan Reddy, Agama Advisor Dr Vedantam Vishnu Bhattacharyulu, Superintendent Sri Mallikarjuna and others were also present.

Annual Spring Festival Concludes






The annual three-day Spring Festival, Vasanthotsavam concluded on a grand spiritual note in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram on Saturday.

 

As a part of Vasanthotsavam, the utsava deities were offered Snapana Tirumanjanam between 2pm and 4pm. Later in the evening, Unjal Seva and Tiruchi Vahana Seva will be observed. The uniqueness about this temple fete is that all the deities including Sri Kalyana Srinivasa, Sri Devi, Bhudevi, Sri Krishna Swamy with Rukmini and Satyabhama, Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya Sameta Sri Ramachandra Murthy will be rendered Unjal and Tiruchi sevas all at a time.

 

Temple Special Grade DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Gurumurthy, Superintendents Sri Ramanaiah, Temple Inspector Sri Srinivasulu, Archaka Sri Seshacharyulu were present.

Hanumanta Jayanti From 25th May to 29th May


TTD is set for organising Hanumanta Jayanti Mahotsavam from May 25 to 29 at Nada Neeranjanam, Anjanadri Anjaneya in Akashaganga, Japali and Dharmagiri in Tirumala.

 

At the Nada Neeranjanam Platform, spiritual discourses will be rendered by scholars every day between 3pm and 4pm. On May 25 Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murthy will deliver address on the topic, "Anjananandanam Veeram" while Dr Akella Vibhishana Sharma on "Sundare Sundaram Kapihi" on May 26. Dr M Pavana Kumara Sharma will render a spiritual talk on the theme of "Veera Hanuman Kapihi" on May 27, Prof. Rani Sadasiva Murthy will render religious discourse on "Gnaninamagraganyam" on May 28 and on the last day on May 29, Dr MG Nandana Rao will speak on "Rama Vaibhava Sphoorti".

 

TTD is organizing Sri Hanumanta Avatara Pravachanas every day at Sri Balanjaneya Swami temple at Akashaganga. 

 

The artists of Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahitya Project and SV College of Music and Dance will also perform Bhakti sangeet and cultural programs during the Mahotsavam at Akashaganga and Anjaneya Swami temple near Japali.

 

TTD is also organizing non-stop Sampoorna Sundarakanda Akhanda Parayanam at Dharmagiri Veda Vignana Peetham on May 29 from 6am to 10pm without interruption.
