Over 36 Thousand Devotees Trek Thumburu Theertham










A total of 36,200 devotees trek Tumburu Theertham located in deep woods and steep valley in Sesha Chala on Wednesday and Thursday.


TTD has made elaborate arrangements of Annaprasadam, water and security at Papavinasanam dam for the devotees trekking the tedious path.

People suffering from chronic, asthma, obesity and heart related diseases were not allowed to trek.


Due to space constraints, APSRTC buses operated to transport devotees within Tirumala to Papavinasanam dam.


On April 5, a total of 23000 devotees and on Thursday 13,200 devotees trekked the path and offered Theertha Snanam on the auspicious day of Phalguna Pournami.


TTD senior officials from Annaprasadam, Health, Vigilance and Forest departments monitored round the clock and ensured safety of devotees on April 5 and 6 upon the instructions of TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.

Srimad Ramayanam Dance Ballet Allures Devotees





The outstanding dance ballet on Sri Rama Pattabhishekam by the student's of TTD's College of Music and Dance received overwhelming response from the devotees who thronged to witness the Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta on Wednesday.


The dance ballet comprised Sita Swayamvaram, Vanavasam, Ravana Samharam and Pattabhishekam episodes with 38 students donning various characters in Srimad Ramayanam.


Before the commencement of Sita Rama Kalyanam, the students enacted the dance ballet which lasted for over an hour and allured the devotees.


The Dance ballet was choreographed by Dr Usharani, under the supervision of Dr Uma Muddubala, the Principal of College.


Earlier bhajana programme by the students and faculty of the music and dance college also immersed the devotees in devotional waves.


Babu Jagjivan Ram Jayanthi Observed











The 116th Birth Anniversary of Sri  Baby Jagjivanram was observed with utmost ecstasy on Wednesday under the Welfare Department of TTD at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Faculty of Law Dean Prof Gali Vinod Kumar of Usmania University from Hyderabad said, Dr Babu Jagjivanram, fought against all social odds in his life and with ease performed all his responsibilities in his 52 years of political career.

 

DyEOs Smt Snehalata, Sri Anandaraju, Smt Jagadeeshwari, EE Manoharam and other employees participated.

 

TTD JEo Inspects Arrangements at Vontimitta










TTD JEO Sri Veerabrahmam on Wednesday inspected the arrangements at Vontimitta Sri Kodandaramalayam in connection with Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam.


As part of it, he inspected Annaprasadam packing, Annaprasadam serving, Prasadam bags packing etc. by Srivari Sevakulu at Kalyana Vedika as well at Annaprasada Centre arranged besides the centre.


A total of 2500 Srivari Sevakulu have been rendering impeccable services. Especially on Wednesday, braving the scorching temperatures, the sevaks were involved in packing, lifting and distribution of Annaprasadam and sacred prasadam bags.


CEO SVBC Sri Shanmukh Kumar, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and other officials were present.


AP Minister Offers Silks









The Honourable Minister for Energy, Forest, Environment, Science and Technology, Mines and Geology Sri Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy on behalf of the state government offered Pattu Vastrams to Vontimitta Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy on Wednesday evening on the auspicious occasion of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam.

 

After darshan of the presiding deity, he was offered Vedaseervachanam by temple priests followed by the presentation of Sesha Vastram, dry flower technology laminated photo of Sita Rama and Theertha Prasadams.

 

Deputy CM Sri Satyanarayana, ZP Chief Sri Amarnath Reddy, Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, local legislator Sri Mallikarjuna Reddy, board member Sri Ashok Kumar, JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam and others were present.


Vasanthotsavam Concludes on A Grand Religious Note









The annual Vasanthotsavams in Tirumala concluded on a grand religious note on Wednesday.

Along with Sri Bhu sameta Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya sameta Sri Ramachandra Murthy, Sri Rukmini sameta Sri Krishna Swamy were rendered Snapana Tirumanjanam on the third day.

Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, temple DyEO Sri Ramesh Babu and other officials, devotees were also present.


Bangaru Patakam and Kasusthubham Presented






On the celestial occasion Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam, at Vontimitta on Wednesday, Bangaru Patakam and Kaustubha Abharanam were presented to the deities from Tirumala.


TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy handed over the precious jewels to the deities and performed pujas at Vontimitta Kodandaramalayam.


Later they were decorated to the processional deities during Kalyanam.
