TTD Eo Briefs on Arrangements for Summer Rush
TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy briefed on the arrangements for the ensuing summer vacation pilgrim rush to Tirumala during the monthly Dial your EO programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan on Friday. Some excerpts:
* Heavy pilgrim rush being anticipated this summer between April 15-July 15 in Tirumala.
* To meet the summer challenges and to facilitate common devotees more darshan hours, the TTD board has decided to reduce the quotas of VIP break, Srivani, tourism, virtual Sevas and ₹300 special Darshan tickets.
* Special arrangements have been made at Tirumala for providing adequate accommodation at Tirumala for devotees convenience
* Priority is given to common devotees i.e 85% of the 7400 rooms and four PACs available at Tirumala to accommodate nearly 40,000 devotees.
* The Face Recognition Technology(FRT) installed recently has infused transparency in the Accommodation Allotment System.
* Since the accommodation is very limited in Tirumala, the devotees are appealed to reside more at Tirupati
*TTD is providing Anna Prasadam, Buttermilk, Drinking water and medical aid in the compartments besides laying shelters, summer coolant paints on the Mada streets, Narayanagiri Gardens queue lines, vital areas where the congregation is more, for convenience of devotees to combat the scorching heat.
* In addition to Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasada Bhavan, old Anna Prasadam complex and food counters at other regions have also been arranged
* Purified Drinking water is made available at many locations of Tirumala and garbage cleaning arrangements are also made.
* Non stop 24/7 tonsuring is available at main Kalyana Katta and other mini Kalyana Kattas.
* Adequate Laddu Prasadam is kept in stock for devotees' requirements.
* TTD vigilance and Police coordinating with each other to enhance parking space in Tirumala
* Nearly 2500 srivari sevaks are being deployed daily to assist devotees.
* TTD has resumed the issue of Divya Darshan tokens which were stopped 3 years ago during Covid Pandemic. Now daily 10,000 tokens are being issued at Galigopuram in Alipiri footpath and 5000 tokens at Srivari Mettu path(1250th step) from April 1 onwards on showing Aadhar card
* Ten more eco-friendly Dharma Rathams will be pressed into service to transport devotees within Tirumala

* TTD is organising a grand celebration of Sri Padmavati Srinivasa Parinayotsavam from April 29- May 1 at the theNarayanagiri gardens.
* The SGS Arts College, Tirupati achieved the NAAC + A rank in the very first attempt.
* The efforts of TTD JEO for Education and Health Smt Sada Bhargavi, DEO and Principals of all TTD colleges are being lauded for bagging NAAC A+ ranking for all TTD colleges

* Total Srivari Darshan: 20.57 lakh devotees
* Srivari Hundi collections: ₹120.29 crore.
* Srivari laddus sold: 1.02 crores.
* Anna Prasadam: 38.17 lakh devotees
* Kalyana Katta: 8.25 lakh tonsures
MORE DARSHAN HOURS AND PERCENTAGE OF ACCOMMODATION FOR COMMON PILGRIMS-TTD EO
With common pilgrims who are visiting Tirumala temple for darshan as its top most priority, TTD has been allocating 15 hours of darshan a day to common pilgrims in a day along with 85% available accommodation at Tirumala, said TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy.
Speaking to the pilgrims callers during the Dial Your EO program held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO attended to 31 callers from across the country. Some excerpts from the live phone-in program.
When a pilgrim caller Sri Shankar from Hyderabad sought EO to reduce VIP break facilitating more darshan hours for common pilgrims, the EO answered of the 18hours of Darshan meant for a day, only three hours are being provided to VIP while the remaining 15hours to common pilgrims. "As the summer rush is commencing soon, the TTD board has decided to cut down VIP referrals, Rs.300, SRIVANI, Virtual sevas, Tourism tickets also till July 15 starting from April 15 facilitating more darshan hours to common pilgrims", he asserted. The EO also said, of the available 7400 rooms and four PACs, 85% of accommodation is for common pilgrims only in Tirumala.
Another caller, Sri Ravi from Kavali, suggested EO to introduce Netra Dana Trust for the sake of the visually impaired, to which EO said, TTD has already entered MoU with the renowned Aravind Eye Care Hospital in offering the best possible services to the needy with eye-related ailments. Welcoming the suggestion, he will look into the suggestion.
A pilgrim caller Smt Syamala from Chennai brought to the notice of EO of non-issue of laddus for her token, to which EO answered, the tokenless Sarvadarshan devotees will be issued laddu token slips in Vaikuntham Queue Complex which should be scanned otherwise will not be issued at Laddu Counters. "So scan the laddu slips properly to procure one free laddu on one slip", he maintained.
Another caller Sri Chandramouli from Hyderabad sought EO introduce Astrology Course in TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University.
Responding to the caller, the EO said, the plans are already underway and very soon TTD will introduce Occult Sciences, Pranayamam, and other courses.
Sri Appanna from Visakhapatnam suggested EO to apply Tirunamam to all devotees through Srivari Sevaks to which EO agreed.
While a pilgrim suggested to introduce UPI payments for lucky dip seva tickets allotment under current booking, another caller suggested commence Arjita Sevas in Srivari temple at Visakhapatnam to which the EO responded positively. The other suggestions includes for proper sign board between Tiruchanoor and Appalayagunta, Nijapada Darshan, enhancing quality of laddus, annprasadam, Jalaprasadam units in Alipiri footpath, cleanliness in Kalyani choultry etc.
JEOs Smt Sada Bhargavi, Sri Veerabrahmam, CE Sri Nageswara Rao and other senior officials in Tirumala were also present.
CJ Of AP Offers Prayers to Hill Lord
The Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High court Justice Sri Prashant Kumar Mishra offered prayers at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Friday.
He participated in Abhisheka seva and later had VIP break darshan.
TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy, EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, JEO Sri Veerabrahmam were also present.
CJ Of APHC Offers Prayers at Tiruchanoor
The Honourable Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Sri Prashant Kumar Mishra offered prayers at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on Friday.
After darshan, he was offered theertha prasadams by JEO Sri Veerabrahmam.
Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham, AEO Sri Prabhakar Reddy, VGO Sri Manohar and others were present was also present.
Donation to SVBC Trust
The representative of the firm Sri Raghavendra handed over the Cheque for the same to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday.
