Chennai based Ashok Leyland has donated Rs. 31 lakhs worth bus to TTD on Saturday.

The President Sri Sanjeev Kumar of the company donated the vehicle keys to TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy in front of Tirumala temple.

Tirumala DI Sri Janakirami Reddy was also present.

AP CS Offers Prayers at Tiruchanoor

The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Dr KS Jawahar Reddy offered prayers at Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple in Tiruchanoor on Friday.

After darshan, he was offered theertha prasadams by JEO Sri Veerabrahmam.

District Collector Sri Venkatramana Reddy, Joint Collector Sri Balaji, RDO Sri Kanaka Narasa Reddy, Temple DyEO Sri Lokanatham was also present.

Dhwajavarohanam Marks Conclusion

The annual nine day brahmotsavam which commenced at Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama temple in YSR Kadapa district on March 31, concluded on a grand religious note with Dhwajarohanam on Saturday evening.

Deputy EO Sri Natesh Babu, Temple Inslector Sri Dhananjeyulu and others were present.

Annual Pushpayagam will be observed on April 9 between 6pm and 8:30pm on Sunday.

Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Dr K S Jawahar Reddy reached Tirumala on Saturday evening. On his arrival at EO Camp Office, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy and Tirupati Urban SP Sri Parameshwar Reddyaccorded a warm reception.

Heavy Pilgrim Rush at Tirumala

Heavy weekend rush coupled with a series of holidays which began since Thursday has been continuing in Tirumala. By the time of 6pm on Saturday, the lines are getting added at Silathoranam and for tokenless devotees it is taking approximately 30 hours for darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy.

In spite of repeated announcements about the time at Tirupati Railway station, bus station, Alipiri, the pilgrim crowd is swarming to Hill Town. TTD has made elaborate arrangements of Annprasadam, water and security to the multitude of visiting pilgrims. On Saturday itself, till 5pm, Annaprasadam was served to 80 thousand pilgrims in MTVAC and another 80 in outside queue lines.

About 2500 Srivari Sevaks have been deployed to render services to the waiting pilgrims in all these areas.

Under the instructions of TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, in the supervision of JEO Sri Veerabrahmam, all the senior officers of TTD in Tirumala have been monitoring the facilities from time to time and ensuring hassle-free darshan to devotees.
